Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology has become one of the innovative solutions that offers immersive and interactive learning experiences, but its implementation still faces various challenges. This research aims to examine the development, implementation and impact of using VR in learning based on an analysis of 28 scientific articles published in national journals during the 2020–2024 period. This research uses a systematic literature review method by analyzing articles related to VR applications in learning at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. The articles analyzed include the development of VR-based content, the implementation of VR media, as well as evaluating its impact on the quality of learning. The research results show that VR has been successfully applied in various fields of study, from science, history, to practical simulations such as the Hajj and microteaching. VR technology is proven to increase motivation, concept understanding, student engagement, and learning outcomes. However, VR implementation also faces challenges such as high costs, special training requirements, and limited technological infrastructure. Thus, these findings confirm the potential of VR technology as a significant learning innovation in improving the quality of education, although strategies are needed to overcome barriers to its implementation.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam era revolusi industri 4.0 telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas platform digital dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika melalui metode literatur review. Studi ini mengidentifikasi dan mensintesis temuan dari berbagai penelitian sebelumnya mengenai penggunaan platform digital, seperti simulasi interaktif, visualisasi 3D, dan video pembelajaran. Hasil literatur review menunjukkan bahwa platform digital efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep fisika yang kompleks, terutama melalui fitur interaktif yang mengubah konsep abstrak menjadi lebih konkret. Namun, terdapat kendala dalam penerapannya, seperti keterbatasan akses internet, kurangnya pelatihan teknologi, dan keterbatasan perangkat. Studi ini merekomendasikan pengembangan platform digital yang lebih interaktif dan ramah pengguna, peningkatan pelatihan teknologi bagi guru dan siswa, serta penelitian lebih lanjut dengan pendekatan empiris untuk mengukur dampak platform digital secara langsung. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran fisika yang lebih inovatif dan relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini.

Abstract

Cassava peel waste is a biomass that has not been optimally utilized, even though it has the potential as a raw material for activated carbon. The problems that arise are the low added value of this waste and the need for efficient technology to produce highly porous activated carbon. This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in microwave irradiation time on the pore characteristics of cassava peel-based activated carbon. This study uses a quantitative approach with a laboratory experimental design. The research subjects were activated carbon resulting from chemical and microwave activation treatments, with three trial groups, each consisting of one activated carbon sample processed for 10, 15, and 20 minutes. Data collection methods were carried out through characterization using X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy instruments. Data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively to observe pore structure development, elemental composition, and optical properties between samples. The results showed that the longer the microwave activation time, the more the porosity and surface structure of the activated carbon developed, with sample AC20 showing the best pore morphology and the highest absorption value. The conclusion of this study indicates that a combination of chemical and microwave-based activation is effective in producing highly porous activated carbon from cassava peels. This research implies that cassava peel waste can be an alternative solution in developing environmentally friendly adsorbent materials for pollutant remediation applications in aquatic environments.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, penguasaan teknologi merupakan kewajiban guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penggunaan TIK dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar membantu peserta didik untuk memperluas pengetahuan, pengalaman dan meningkatkan pemahaman, khususnya dalam pembelajaran fisika yang membutuhkan penggambaran audio visual, diagram alir, video praktikum dan penggunaan lab virtual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi guru dan peserta didik terhadap pemanfaatan perangkat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam pembelajaran fisika SMA Negeri 1 Langsa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Langsa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 7 guru yang mengajar di bidang fisika dan 55 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sangat membantu guru dalam proses pembelajaran fisika. Peserta didik lebih termotivasi dan antusias dalam belajar jika guru mengajar dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, peserta didik merasa lebih mudah dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan

Abstract

In this study, activated carbon from cassava peel waste has been synthesized, with the aim of analyzing its effectiveness in reducing BOD and COD levels in laundry wastewater. Activated carbon was synthesized through a carbonization process at various temperatures (250°C, 300°C, 350°C) for 1.5 hours, then chemically activated using 2% KOH and physically activated with microwaves. Morphological characterization using SEM, and adsorption effectiveness was tested with contact time variations of 0 and 5 days for BOD, COD, pH, and temperature parameters. The results of SEM characterization showed that the carbonization temperature of 300°C produced optimal micro and mesoporous pore structures without structural damage. Treatment with activated carbon from 300°C carbonization (sample A2) showed the best performance, with a decrease in BOD from 450 mg/L to 200 mg/L and COD from 21.7 mg/L to 3.72 mg/L. The pH and temperature values after adsorption also meet environmental quality standards, namely neutral pH (7) and temperature 25.7°C. Activated carbon from cassava peel waste has been proven to be effective as an environmentally friendly adsorbent for laundry waste processing.
