Abstract

SARS CoV-2 infection causes various clinical manifestations ranging from mild to severe. Acute RespiratoryDistress Syndrome (ARDS) is a severe complication of COVID-19 caused by activation of the kallikreinkininsystem which produces bradykinin which is a potent proinflammatory mediator. This research is anin silico study which aims to determine the potential of active medicinal plant compounds in inhibiting thekallikrein-kinin system.Molecular docking in this study using Autodock 4.2 with Lamarckian GA criteria.Human plasma kallikrein (PDB ID: 5TJX) was docked with 70 compounds and one native ligandand analyzedusing Autodock 4.2.The smallest binding energy obtained from docking 5TJX with several compoundsin sequence, namely, xanthohumol, nafamostat, demethoxycurcumin, epicatechingallate, beta mangostin,alpha mangostin (-9.52, -9.35, -9.33, -9.28, -9.19, -9.06 kcal/mol). Therefore, the compound shows the bestpotential as a plasma kallikrein inhibitor. However, further research is still needed to determine the potentialof drugs and medicinal plant active compounds for medical treatment.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe present study attempts to explore kinds of input and output to improve English speaking skills based on YouTube video lessons. The theory of input was proposed by Krashen, while the output was taken from the output hypothesis of Swain. This study employed qualitative descriptive method, which is a method of research that attempt to describe and interpret the objects in accordance with reality The main instrument was collecting the data, observing the data by watching the whole ten videos, then classifying every tips to two general main paths: input and output. The study showed variety of input which are found on the ten YouTube video lessons are listening that can be achieved by observing in form of listening podcast and listening music in English and learn the lyrics, and varies of reading which are reading Speed reading, Reading aloud to practice pronunciation, Reading a book, blog post, news, Reading children’s book. Kinds of output gained from those videos are speaking which are Talk to yourself, Have a speaking partner, Talk with a native, Using imitation technique, Join a discussion, Speak loudly, Make video, Creative practice, Spend time with people who speak English, and writing which is described more specifically on that video as writing a daily journal.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kanker kolorektal merupakan transformasi patologis dari epitel kolon dan rektum normal menjadi massa jaringan abnormal, perubahan ini terjadi karena ekspresi berlebih dari protein cyclin D1 yang menginduksi proliferasi sel kolorektal secara berlebihan. Pengobatan dan pencegahan kanker kolorektal dapat dilakukan secara alami dengan mengonsumsi ekstrak daun Annona muricata L. (sirsak). Sirsak dikenal karena banyak komponen fitokimia yang berfungsi sebagai anti kanker. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan sel kanker kolorektal HT-29 yang diberi ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dan 5 Fluorourasil (5-FU). Tujuannya untuk menemukan konsentrasi sitotoksisitas yang dapat menghambat 50% populasi sel HT-29 (CC50) dan konsentrasi yang didapat sebelumnya akan diuji dengan metode uji MTT. Analisis docking molekuler dilakukan antara molekul-molekul dari ekstrak etanol daun sirsak terhadap protein Cyclin D1 menggunakan perangkat lunak molecular operating environment (MOE) 2013.08. Hasil: CC50 ekstrak etanol daun sirsak adalah 278 μg / mL dan 5-FU adalah 88 μg / mL. Persentase terendah sel HT-29 yang layak adalah 2 x CC50 setelah perlakuan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak (40,4 ± 1,3%) dibandingkan dengan 5-FU (52,8 ± 4,3%), kontrol pelarut ( 97,2 ± 1,4%), dan kontrol sel (100%). Analisis docking molekuler untuk protein cyclin D1 diperoleh asam N-hexadecanoic dan molekul phytol sebagai kandidat yang baik untuk menghambat protein cyclin D1. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dapat menurunkan viabilitas sel kultur kanker kolon HT-29 dan berdasarkan analisis molekular docking dilihat dari energi bebas gibbs (ΔG) dan afinitas tertinggi (pKi) diperoleh N-hexadecanoic dan molekul phytol sebagai penghambat protein cyclin D1. (Health Science Journal of Indonesia 2019;10(2):96-102) Kata Kunci: Kanker kolorektal HT-29, ekstrak etanol daun sirsak, viabilitas sel, molecular docking, cyclin D1 Abstract Introduction: Colorectal cancer is a pathological transformation of normal colon and rectum epithelial that becomes an abnormal tissue mass, due to the overexpression of cyclin D1 protein that inducing excessive proliferation of colorectal cell. The treatment and prevention of colorectal cancer could be done naturally by consuming leaves extract of Annona muricata L. (soursop). Soursop is known for many phytochemical components that serve as an anti-cancer. Methods: This study was used HT-29 colorectal cancer cell that treated with ethanolic leaves extract of soursop and 5-Fluorourasil (5-FU) to find the cytotoxicity concentration that can inhibit 50% of HT-29 cell population (CC50) and the next concentrations of them were treated for next treatment with MTT assay. Molecular docking analysis of the compounds of ethanolic leaves extract of soursop to cyclin D1 protein used molecular operating environment (MOE) 2013.08 software. Results: CC50 of ethanolic leaves extracts of soursop was 278 μg/mL dan 5-FU was 88 μg/mL. The lowest percentage of viable HT-29 cell was 2 x CC50 after ethanolic leaves extract of soursop treatment (40,4±1,3%) was compared to 5-FU (52,8±4,3%), solvent control (97,2±1,4%), and cells control (100%). Analysis of molecular docking to cyclin D1 protein was obtained N-hexadecanoic acid and phytol molecules as good candidates to inhibit cyclin D1 protein. Conclusions: The ethanolic leaves extract of soursop could be a good alternative treatment for colorectal cancer and its compounds had ability to inhibit cyclin D1 protein (the highest gibbs free energy (ΔG) and affinity (pKi)). Abstract

This research examines Hasan Langgulung 's perspective of Fitrah in Islamic education. This research is intended to analyze Hasan Langgulung 's essence of Islamic education and analyze the growth of Fitrah potentials from Hasan Langgulung 's perspective on Islamic Education. This research is a research library utilizing content analysis. The results of the research revealed that 1) According to Hasan Langgulung, Fitrah is the original power buried in humans from birth, which will become a driving force and determinant of personality and service tools. 2) The potential of Fitrah in Islamic education from Hasan Langgulung 's perspective is an interaction between potential and culture, the possibility of religion that complements humans from birth, promoting the establishment of Islamic civilization. 3) The capacity of Fitrah and Gharizah requires humans to continually learn from their surroundings and the ability to think and choose (good and bad) to decide their course of life. This research shows that improving Fitrah 's potential can be an Islamic education model that can see students' different potential paths. It may also establish formal and informal education. The growth of the capacity of Fitrah by students, teachers, and parents, therefore, seeks to instill good behavior because nature does not evolve by itself. The principle of Fitrah also demands that Islamic education strive to guide instruction for a healthy human connection with God.

Abstract

Gizi buruk adalah kekurangan kalori atau protein (KKP) atau disebut juga protein energy malnutrien (PEM) dan merupakan suatu ancaman dimasa depan untuk suatu daerah sehingga perlu perhatian yang sangat khusus untuk menuntaskan kasus gizi buruk disuatu daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis program pemberian makanan tambahan bagi balita gizi buruk yang berada di kaupaten pasangkayu. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis peneltian kualitatif Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 15 orang yaitu orang tua anak yang mengalamai gizi buruk sebanyak 8 orang, 6 Tenaga petugas gizi serta 1 Orang penanggung jawab program Gizi Kia di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pasangkayu. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan cara Snowball Sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Mei Tahun 2018. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, kemudian data disajikan dan dianalisis hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran aktor dalam hal ini adalah petugas kesehatan sudah mengimplementasikan kebijakan pemberian makanan tambahan dengan baik dan dapat mempengaruhi jumlah kasus Gizi Buruk di kabupaten pasangkayu karena dilihat dari jumlah kasus pada tahun 2017 sebanyak 9 kasus 7 kasus berubah status dari gizi buruk menjadi membaik. Namun petugas kesehatan dalam hal ini masih perlu keterampilan khusus untuk menyampaikan sosialisasi bagi masyarakat tentang pemberian makanan tambahan serta dampak dari gizi buruk. Untuk organisasi sudah menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik dan melaksanakan kebijakan pemberian makanan tambahan, dan proses implementasi kebijakan dalam hal ini prosedur kebijakan pemberian makanan tambahan sudah berjalan dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) adalah olahan pertama minyak zaitun tanpa campuran ekstrak lainnya yang mengandung senyawa antioksidan berupa senyawa fenolik, tokoferol, squalene, klorofil, β-karoten, dan polifenol.  Kandungan antioksidan ini mudah teroksidasi sehingga perlu dipertahankan dengan cara mikroenkapsulasi. Mikroenkapsulasi merupakan penyalutan tipis dengan polimer pada partikel kecil zat padat dan dispersi zat cair dimana ukuran partikel antara 1-5000 µm. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan volume bahan inti dan komposisi campuran polimer pada mikroenkapsulasi EVOO dengan penyalut polimer alam kappa-karagenan dan glukomanan menggunakan metode koaservasi. Keberhasilan EVOO tersalut dalam polimer ditunjukkan berdasarkan rendemen mikrokapsul, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectrophotometer (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), dan efisiensi enkapsulasi. Hasil riset didapatkan penambahan volume minyak dan campuran komposisi polimer berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi yang dihasilkan. Efisiensi enkapsulasi tertinggi terdapat pada penambahan volume EVOO 0,5 mL sebesar 74,996% dan komposisi polimer pada 0,2 g kappa-karagenan + 0,1 g glukomanan sebesar 77,5637%. Kata kunci: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Koaservasi, Mikroenkapsulasi, Polimer Abstract. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is the first processed olive oil without other extracts containing antioxidant compounds in the form of phenolic compounds, tocopherols, squalene, chlorophyll, β -carotene, and polyphenols. These antioxidants are easily oxidized so it need to be maintained using microencapsulation. Microencapsulation is a thin polymer coating on small solid particles and liquid dispersions where the particle size ranges from 1-5000 µm. The aim of the  research is to determine the effect of the volume of core material and the composition of polymer mixture on EVOO microencapsulation using mixture natural polymer kappa-carrageenan and glucomannan by coacervation method. The success of coating EVOO by the polymer was demonstrated based on the yield, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectrophotometer (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and encapsulation efficiency. The results showed that the addition of oil volume and a mixture of polymer compositions affected the resulting efficiency. The highest encapsulation efficiency was found in the addition of 0.5 mL EVOO which provides efficiency 74.996% and polymer composition at 0.2 g of kappa-carrageenan + 0.1 g of glucomannan which provides efficiency 77.5637%.Keywords: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coaservation Microencapsulation, Polymer

Abstract

Cultivation of porang plants now has a promising prospect because it has a higheconomic value. Glucomannan content in porang is quite high (15-64% dry base).Glucomannan, the natural polymers contained in porang corms, can be modified bycarboxymethylation. The synthesis of carboxy methyl glucomannan took place over twosteps, alkalization and carboxymethylation. Alkalization was conduct using NaOH inethanol 70% as the medium. The carboxymethylation steps was conducted by addingsodium chloroacetate as the reagent. The quality of carboxy methyl glucomannan wasdetermined from its Degree of Substitution (DS). The results showed that the highestdegree of substitution was 0.47 with 70% ethanol as medium and at temperature 65oC for 150 minutes reaction time. From the data obtained, it can be seen that the reaction ofglucomannan carboxymethylation proceeded at 1st order reaction, with the collision factorvalue (A) of 491.227 J/mol.K and its activation energy (Ea) of 30,994.59 J/mol.K.

Abstract

The aim of this study to analyze the effectiveness of using Lectora based on Aceh culture on Linear Equation System Material. This research uses a quantitative descriptive research approach. The research design used was the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) the results of the observation of the teacher's ability in managing learning were 83.92% with good categories; 2) the results of observations of student activities during the learning process were quite active with a percentage of 73.08%; 3) The results of the percentage of student response questionnaires were 51.67%, which means that most students responded well to the use of Aceh culture-based lectora media on the material of linear equation systems; 4) Statistical test with t test obtained t count = 30,11865 and t table = 1,729133 (  = 0,05), t count > t table means that the use of media is effectively used; and 5) Aceh Culture-Based Lectora Media is effectively used in learning linear equation systems. The results of the overall data analysis indicate that the use of Aceh Culture-Based Lectora is effective for student learning outcomes on linear equation material.

Abstract

This is the study of the use of category of hedging that is taken from the supporting characters’ dialogues in Knives Out movie. There are total 8 supporting characters who spoke with hedges contained in the dialogues. The method used is descriptive qualitative which describes the situation factually. There are 20 data found which are dialogues containing of hedging. Researcher uses the theory of the category of hedging by Yu which are modal hedges category, performative (mental hedges), pragmatic-marker hedges, and quantificational hedges. From the study, researcher found all category of hedging in the dialogues spoken by the supporting characters there 2 data found from modal hedges, 1 from both performative and quantificational hedges category, and the most found category is pragmatic-marker hedges which are 16 data found.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the errors of simple past tense and conjunction that is made by students in writing narrative composition. The qualitative method is used by researcher in finishing the research. She took 38 writing of students of state SMK in west Jakarta. The research was held for a month start from June to July. The errors made by students influence the English narrative composition. It can be seen in the writing they made which is showing the sentences they made became meaningless. The learners weren’t used to write or made an English narrative composition by the English teachers so they got some difficulties when they were asked to make an English narrative composition. After having research on the learners’ English narrative composition, the errors happened in simple past tense are 32 mistakes; they are the use of simple past tense 20 mistakes or 30% and the form of simple past tense 12 mistakes or 18%. Conjunction has 20 mistakes or 30% and kinds of errors have 15 mistakes or 22%. Key words: Writing, Error, Simple Past Tense, Conjunctions, Narrative Composition.
