Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the efficiency and productivity of freshwater fish farming in former tin mining pits through the socialization and training on the use of Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic feeding machines. The activity was carried out in Bangka Regency and involved 20 local fish farmers who had previously relied on manual feeding methods. The program began with an introduction to the concept and benefits of IoT technology in the fisheries sector, followed by theoretical training and hands-on practice using the automatic feeding machine, as well as an evaluation of the training outcomes through pre-tests and post-tests. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of IoT technology, with an average improvement of 87%, rising from 13% prior to the training. Participants also demonstrated better comprehension of how the automatic machine works and enhanced their ability to operate it independently. The IoT-based automatic feeding machine has proven effective in increasing time efficiency, reducing feed waste, and enabling remote monitoring via mobile devices. This community service initiative is expected to be a starting point for technological transformation in aquaculture practices in post-mining areas, moving towards a more modern, productive, and sustainable system.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan potensi lokal daerah menjadi salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pemanfaatan potensi lokal daerah dapat dimulai melalui organisasi desa yang berpean aktif dalam pengembangan perekonomian daerah. Salah satu desa yang memiliki potensi lokal di Kabupaten Bangka yaitu terletak di Kecamatan Kelapa, khususnya Desa Tuik. Desa Tuik dikenal sebagai desa yang memiliki potensi lokal berupa produk gula aren dengan cita rasa yang unggul di bandingkan gula aren sejenisnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan pengetahuan, pelatihan dan motivasi warga desa tuik, khususnya pemuda pemudi karang taruna agar dapat meningkatkan peran kelembagaan dan mengembangkan potensi produk lokal agar menjadi produk unggulan yang mampu bersaing. Metode yang digunakan pada program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) kali ini yaitu metode ceramah, dan diskusi. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan PkM menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman atau pengetahuan terkait kelembagaan dan produk inovasi sebesar 14,38%. Sehingga dengan adanya peningkatan pemahaman atau pengetahuan dapat memotivasi peserta untuk mulai meningkatkan peran kelembagaan dan inovasi produk unggulan desa, khususnya produk gula aren.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sumberdaya perairan menjadi krusial dalam menjaga keberlangsungan ekosistem dan kesejahteraan manusia. Tantangan kompleks seperti overfishing, pencemaran, dan perubahan iklim memerlukan solusi yang holistik dan partisipatif. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis peran pendidikan partisipatif dalam menyelamatkan sumberdaya perairan, dengan fokus pada masyarakat lokal. Melalui pendidikan partisipatif, masyarakat dapat lebih memahami nilai dan fungsi sumberdaya perairan, serta dampak dari tindakan mereka terhadap lingkungan. Pendidikan ini juga membangun pengetahuan lokal dan kearifan tradisional untuk pelestarian yang berkelanjutan. Dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan metode partisipatif, masyarakat komunitas nelayan sungai Batanghari di Desa Rantau Panjang Kabupaten Muaro Jambi menjadi subjek. Langkah-langkah melibatkan perencanaan bersama, pengumpulan data kolaboratif, analisis bersama, dan tindakan selanjutnya. Hasilnya diharapkan mencakup peningkatan kesadaran, pemberdayaan masyarakat, perubahan perilaku, dan pengembangan keterampilan berkelanjutan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mencakup perlunya penguatan program pendidikan partisipatif, peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat, kolaborasi antar-pemangku kepentingan, pengembangan keterampilan berkelanjutan, dan perbaikan kebijakan. Dengan demikian, artikel ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pentingnya pendidikan partisipatif dalam menyelamatkan sumberdaya perairan dan menawarkan arahan praktis untuk langkah-langkah selanjutnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi teknik Team Quiz terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN 132/IV Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian Randomized Control Group Only Design, sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 132/IV Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 62 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan teknik Team Quiz berpengaruh nyata pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dimana hasil yang diperoleh menyatakan bahwa t hitung > t tabel. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan teknik Team Quiz terhadap tingginya hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 132/IV Kota Jambi.

Abstract

This study was conducted at PPN Sungailiat, Bangka Regency, to identify morphometric and meristic characteristics of Jebung fish (Abalistes stellaris), as well as environmentally friendly fishing gear. The research method used was descriptive with a simple random sampling technique to collect fish samples. Data were collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed using morphometric and meristic identification. The results showed that Jebung fish had 23 morphometric characters and 9 meristic characters, with an average total length of 30.5 cm and a standard length of 27 cm. Fin characteristics showed significant differences compared to other fish in the same family. In addition, the recommended fishing methods are bubu and bottom fishing to maintain the sustainability of the fish population. The conclusion of this study is that Jebung fish has distinctive morphometric and meristic characteristics, and requires an ecosystem-based management strategy to maintain its sustainability. The results of this study can serve as a basis for better fisheries resource management policies in the Bangka region.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an automatic fish feeding system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that can be applied in former tin mining pits in Bangka Belitung. The system is expected to improve feeding efficiency and reduce dependence on manual labor. The research method includes hardware design using a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller, a servo motor as the feed dispensing actuator, and an RTC module as the time controller. The system is equipped with a web-based IoT application for remote control and monitoring. Testing was carried out at a fish farming site located in a former mining pond, with observations on feeding schedule accuracy, feed throwing distance, and feed usage efficiency. The results showed that the system achieved 100% accuracy in feed timing based on RTC sensor readings. Feed output during multiple feeder motor rotations was stable, with an error rate of less than 1%. The pellet throwing distance at 90% motor speed reached a maximum of 6.6 meters and a minimum of 2.4 meters.The system can also be controlled remotely via the web, allowing users to schedule feeding times and monitor device status in real time from a smartphone or computer. This system has proven to be effective and feasible for freshwater fish farming in post-mining areas, supporting sustainable aquaculture development.

Abstract

Palm oil is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in the development of the national strategic economy. Palm oil plantations contribute significantly to regional income, employment absorption, and downstream industrial development. However, the development of plantations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province faces challenges, such as limited land, agro-ecosystems that are different from the central areas of palm oil plantation commodity production. This study focuses on the Bangka Belitung Islands Province which was carried out in April 2025, using a time series analysis approach using data on production and area of ​​smallholder palm oil land in a 7-year period (2018-2024) with Simple Linear Regression analysis. Palm oil productivity in the Bangka Belitung Islands tends to increase every year with an average productivity of 2.20 tons/ha. The projection of smallholder oil palm in the Bangka Belitung Islands from 2025 - 2031 has increased annually by 14,160.6 tons/year and an average production of 192,350.2 tons/year, using simple linear regression, the projection equation results are Ft = - 284,404,498 + 14,160.6t.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas perancangan dan implementasi sistem monitoring kualitas air secara otomatis pada budidaya ikan air tawar berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Sistem dirancang menggunakan Arduino UNO sebagai pengendali utama sensor dan ESP32 sebagai modul komunikasi data ke Firebase Realtime Database. Parameter utama yang dipantau meliputi pH, suhu air, ketinggian air, dan curah hujan menggunakan sensor pH E201C, sensor suhu DS18B20, sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04, serta sensor ombrometer. Data hasil pembacaan ditampilkan pada aplikasi Android Studio untuk kemudahan pemantauan jarak jauh.Sistem memiliki dua mode, yaitu otomatis dan manual. Pada mode otomatis, Arduino mengontrol empat relay untuk mengatur pompa penguras, pompa pengisi air, pengaduk larutan kapur, dan saluran kapur berdasarkan kondisi pH dan tinggi air. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu membaca nilai pH dengan akurasi 98,4%, suhu dengan akurasi 99,1%, dan ketinggian air dengan toleransi ±0,5 cm. Fitur rain suspend membuat sistem berhenti bekerja saat hujan dan aktif kembali setelah hujan berhenti. Sistem ini dinilai efektif, efisien, dan stabil dalam menjaga kualitas air pada budidaya ikan air tawar.

Abstract

Climate change has had a significant impact on the fisheries sector, especially in coastal areas that depend on marine resources. This study aims to identify and analyze fishermen’s perceptions in Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, regarding the impact of climate change on their fisheries resources. The research employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and field observations. The findings indicate that fishermen are aware of changing weather patterns, rising sea temperatures, and shifts in ocean currents that affect their catch and safety at sea. Some adaptations made by fishermen include changes in fishing techniques, adjusting their fishing times, and improving fishing gear. However, limited resources and knowledge about long-term adaptation strategies remain challenges for these fishermen. This study recommends enhancing education and providing policy support for climate change adaptation to better prepare fishermen for increasingly unpredictable environmental changes.
