Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of technology-assisted student worksheets (LKPD) in science and social studies (IPAS) learning in elementary schools. It aimed to develop an electronic LKPD (E-LKPD) supported by Wordwall media using the Problem Based Learning model for biodiversity material in fourth grade. The problem was identified through observations and needs analysis in several elementary schools, which showed that teachers rarely used technology-based LKPD in the learning process. As a result, students tended to be less active and less motivated during learning activities. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collected included validation and practicality data. Validation data were obtained through expert judgment involving material, language, and media experts, while practicality data were gathered through questionnaires from teachers and students regarding the use of the developed E-LKPD. The developed E-LKPD was then tested for practicality with teachers and students in several elementary schools. The results showed that the Wordwall-assisted E-LKPD obtained a practicality score of over 95%, categorized as highly practical. This indicates that the E-LKPD is easy to use, engaging, and supports students’ active participation in learning. In conclusion, the Wordwall-assisted E-LKPD developed using the Problem Based Learning model is feasible and practical for use in fourth-grade IPAS learning.

Abstract

This research was driven by low student interest and understanding of abstract Science and Social Studies (IPAS) materials, alongside limited innovative digital learning media in elementary schools. Conventional teacher-centered learning often leaves students struggling to analyze contextual problems. This study aims to develop Canva-based e-comic media integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic "Economic Conditions in My Region" that is valid and practical for Grade V elementary school students. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjects included expert validators (content, language, and media specialists) and teachers and students from four elementary schools: SDN 05 Mungka, SDN 04 Mungka, SDN 01 Jopang Manganti, and SDN 02 Jopang Manganti. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and validation/practicality questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the PBL-integrated e-comic is highly valid based on expert assessments. In the implementation phase, the media was found to be highly practical, with teacher response rates reaching 90%–94% and student responses 86%–93%. In conclusion, the developed e-comic is feasible and practical as an interactive IPAS learning tool. This research implies that the media provides an effective alternative for teachers to enhance student enthusiasm and conceptual understanding through a problem-solving approach. Abstract

The findings reveal that students are still experiencing poor educational results. This issue arises from insufficient student engagements in educational activities, as the teaching process remains largely led by the instructor. This study aimed to describe the improvement of learning outcomes in the IPAS subject through the implementation of the cooperative learning model, specifically the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type, in grade IV of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut, Padang City. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) by combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 25 students, consisting of 15 males and 10 females. Data were collected through observation techniques as well as test and non-test instruments to measure the effectiveness of the model. The evaluation results showed significant improvements in various aspects of learning. The quality of lesson module preparation increased from an average of 89.06% in the first cycle to 96.87% (very good) in the second cycle. Teacher activities in classroom management and student participation also improved consistently, from an average of 83.92% to 96.42% at the end of the second cycle. Learning outcomes covering attitudes, knowledge, and skills increased from an average score of 76.02 to 86.31 (good). These findings indicate that the use of the TGT model supported by flipcard media is highly effective in enhancing students’ interest and active participation, as well as improving their academic learning outcomes.
