Abstract

The study addressed the gap in understanding how local wisdom and religious moderation are integrated into regional regulations in West Sumatra, a region with rich customary and religious traditions but ranked low on the national tolerance index. Despite having a strong philosophical foundation in Adat Basandi Syara’, Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah, current legal instruments may not adequately reflect these values to foster a tolerant and inclusive society. The study aimed to examine the portrait of regional regulations on public order and public tranquility in West Sumatra from 2009 to 2023, to realize a tolerant and inclusive society. The method used an empirical legal research with a socio-legal approach drawn from primary data in West Sumatra. The findings showed that the Regional Regulations (Perda) in West Sumatra have not yet embodied the principles of public order and social tranquility based on tolerance and inclusivity. Of the 634 Perdas analyzed from 2009 to 2023, only 2.2% addressed issues related to public order. Moreover, they narrowly focused on nuisance permits, alcoholic beverage control, and public morality. Therefore, this indicated a significant gap in incorporating local wisdom and religious values rooted in the Minangkabau philosophy of Adat Basandi Syara', Syara' Basandi Kitabullah, into regulatory frameworks that promote harmony in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

Learning practices in elementary schools have not fully enhanced students' creativity. The diverse learning needs of students pose challenges in fostering creative and critical learners. Differentiated learning strategies aim to address these needs by adjusting content, processes, and products to match students' abilities and interests. This research explores differentiated learning as an innovation in elementary schools. A qualitative multiple case study design was employed to compare variations and similarities in differentiated learning practices across five selected schools. The schools were chosen based on criteria such as student population, teacher qualifications, and certification percentages. Thirty-two certified teachers with relevant qualifications participated as respondents. Data were analyzed using Nvivo 12 software through coding, categorization, matrix coding, and project mapping. The findings reveal that combined differentiated learning strategies effectively meet students' needs, talents, and interests. These strategies involve integrating varied learning resources and digital media within interactive learning communities. This study provides practical strategies for elementary teachers to enhance student creativity through diverse media and suitable learning environments. The findings support previous research on differentiated learning's role in developing creative, critical, and enthusiastic learners.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas generasi muda dalam memimpin ibadah dan berdakwah melalui pelatihan metode dakwah dan teknik public speaking bagi calon imam dan khatib di Nagari Harau, Kecamatan Harau, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh lemahnya regenerasi imam dan khatib, di mana lebih dari 68% pemimpin keagamaan di Nagari Harau berusia di atas 50 tahun dan hanya 7% berusia di bawah 40 tahun. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 20 peserta remaja masjid dengan latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman yang beragam. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah, diskusi, simulasi khutbah, dan coaching clinic, yang dipandu oleh dua narasumber berkompeten. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test pada sepuluh indikator utama. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 2.8 (56%) menjadi 4.1 (82%), dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada indikator kepercayaan diri saat berkhutbah sebesar 69.9%, diikuti keterampilan public speaking sebesar 60%. Pelatihan ini juga mampu menumbuhkan kader-kader muda yang siap berperan aktif dalam kegiatan keagamaan secara bertahap mengambil tanggung jawab sebagai imam dan khatib, sehingga keberlanjutan kepemimpinan masjid dapat terjaga. Program ini berkontribusi pada pencapaian Suitanable Development Goals  (SDGs), khususnya bidang pendidikan berkualitas dan kelembagaan yang kuat dan inklusif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masuknya kaligrafi pada Pekan Olah Raga dan Seni antar Diniyyah (Porsadin), mengharuskan MDTA memiliki guru yang mahir kaligrafi. Sementara guru MDTA Kota Solok belum memiliki keterampilan kaligrafi Porsadin. Tujuan pelatihan ini meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam bidang kaligrafi, agar dapat membina peserta didiknya belajar kaligrafi yang dilombakan pada kegiatan Porsadin. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan simulasi karya oleh peserta pelatihan. Mitra kegiatan ini guru MDTA Kota Solok sebanyak 20 orang. Untuk melihat pemahaman dan kepuasan peserta pelatihan dilakukan melalui google form. Hasil pelatihan ini dapat memberdayakan guru sebagai agen pembelajaran kaligrafi Porsadin pada MDTA yang mereka bina. Tahapan pelatihan yang dilakukan meliputi. (1) pemberian peralatan dan demonstrasi materi; (2) simulasi kaligrafi dan koreksi langsung (direct corection); serta (3) penugasan terbimbing. Kemampuan peserta menguasai teknis pembuatan kaligrafi Porsadin, diperoleh data 27% sangat setuju dan 73% mengatakan setuju, artinya rata-rata semua peserta memahami urutan kerja pembuatan kaligrafi Porsadin. Kemudian 87% peserta pelatihan dapat mengajarkan teknis kaligrafi Porsadin kepada peserta didiknya.Abstract: The existence of the calligraphy branch on the annual agenda of the Sports and Arts Week between Diniyyah (Porsadin), requires MDTA to have teachers who are proficient in calligraphy. Meanwhile, MDTA teachers in Solok City do not yet have calligraphy skills for Porsadin. The purpose of this training is to improve the ability of teachers in the field of calligraphy, so that they can foster their students to learn calligraphy which is contested at Porsadin activities. This training was conducted using lecture, demonstration and simulation methods by the trainees. The partners of this activity are MDTA teachers in Solok city, who were selected as many as 20 people. To see the participants' understanding and satisfaction during the training, a Google form questionnaire was used. The results of this training can empower MDTA teachers as agents of calligraphy learning in the MDTAs they foster. The training stages include. (1) provision of materials and equipment; (2) calligraphy demonstration and direct correction; and (3) guided assignments. The ability of the participants to master the technique of making Porsadin calligraphy, obtained data 27% strongly agreed and 73% said they agreed, meaning that on average all participants understood the sequence of work for making Porsadin calligraphy. Furthermore, 87% of the trainees could teach the technique of Porsadin calligraphy to their students.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama di Kenagarian Aur Duri, Kecamatan Surantih, Pesisir Selatan, adalah rendahnya literasi al-Qur'an yang dipicu oleh kualitas pembelajaran TPQ yang belum memadai. Guru-guru TPQ masih menerapkan proses pembelajaran yang sederhana dan kurang efektif, tanpa didukung media, kurikulum, dan bahan ajar yang terstruktur. Secara empiris, kondisi ini terkonfirmasi dari asesmen awal yang menunjukkan bahwa 75% guru belum memiliki kompetensi mengajar yang layak dan diperparah oleh ketiadaan lembaga manajemen yang menaungi perkumpulan guru TPQ di nagari tersebut. Menanggapi permasalahan ini, Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Peningkatan Kapasitas dan Manajemen Guru TPQ. Metode Kegiatan yang digunakan meliputi seminar, sesi praktik (simulasi mengajar), dan diskusi terfokus mengenai teknik pembelajaran al-Qur'an modern, penyusunan bahan ajar, serta perintisan struktur manajemen lembaga TPQ. Hasil dari kegiatan ini membuktikan peningkatan kompetensi guru secara signifikan. Peningkatan ini ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan rata-rata skor post-test sebesar 30 poin dan keberhasilan 90% peserta dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran yang terstruktur. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran peserta mengenai urgensi pembentukan lembaga manajemen TPQ. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa intervensi melalui pelatihan yang didukung data empiris merupakan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru dan manajemen lembaga TPQ, yang menjadi fondasi utama untuk memberantas rendahnya literasi al-Qur'an di Kenagarian Aur Duri secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penurunan pengetahuan masyarakat dan rendahnya partisipasi remaja dalam penyelenggaraan jenazah menjadi perhatian penting di Nagari Harau, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Banyak remaja enggan terlibat dalam praktik fardhu kifayah karena pemahaman yang terbatas, kurangnya proses kaderisasi, serta anggapan bahwa pengurusan jenazah hanya menjadi tanggung jawab kelompok orang dewasa tertentu. Kondisi ini mengancam keberlanjutan praktik keagamaan yang benar dan dapat mengurangi penghormatan serta kesucian jenazah. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi konseptual dan keterampilan praktis masyarakat dalam tata cara penyelenggaraan jenazah sekaligus mendorong lahirnya kader remaja yang baru. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi awal dengan pemangku kepentingan lokal, pelatihan teori terstruktur, demonstrasi praktik langsung, penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan melalui platform komunikasi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan, kepercayaan diri, dan keterampilan peserta, di mana lebih dari 80% menunjukkan perkembangan terukur pada pemahaman teori maupun praktik simulasi. Secara kualitatif, kegiatan ini memperkuat kerja sama antargenerasi, meningkatkan motivasi remaja, serta memperbaiki kesiapan masyarakat dalam menghadapi situasi kematian. Secara keseluruhan, program ini mampu memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat dan mendukung keberlanjutan praktik penyelenggaraan jenazah sesuai tuntunan agama

Abstract

The moral crisis currently afflicting society has become a serious concern in various aspects of life, including social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. One approach believed to effectively address this crisis is through moral development based on Sufism teachings, particularly the tariqa (order). This article discusses the implementation of the Naqshbandi teachings of the Jabal Qubis Foundation in nurturing the morals of its congregants. The objective of this research is to understand how the implementation of the Naqshbandi teachings, particularly at the Naqshbandi surau (prayer house) of the Jabal Qubis Foundation, fosters the morals of congregants in Pasaman District. The method employed is qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources for this research were obtained from eight informants, consisting of one mursyid (spiritual guide) and seven congregants of the Naqshbandi Foundation. The results of the study indicate that: 1) The application of the tariqa teachings consists of three stages: baiat (initiation), tawajuh (spiritual focus), and suluk (spiritual journey); 2) The challenges faced by the mursyid include the presence of unseen beings within congregants who feel discontent, while challenges from the congregants arise internally, such as laziness in doing good deeds, and externally, including ridicule from family, society, friends, as well as economic factors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the "Cinta Lingkungan" (Love for the Environment) program at SMP Negeri 4 Gunung Talang as an effort to cultivate environmental awareness among students. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data sources included the principal, program supervisors, and both participating and non-participating students, supported by relevant documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the "Cinta Lingkungan" program involved the development of a regular schedule, various environmental activities such as school area cleaning and tree planting, and the utilization of the surrounding school environment as the activity site. Program evaluation was based on timing and types of activities conducted. However, supervisors faced several challenges, including students’ initial lack of awareness regarding the importance of environmental preservation and limited operational funding. These findings suggest that the "Cinta Lingkungan" extracurricular program can serve as a strategic means to instill environmental care values but requires sustained support from both the school and students to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the efforts made by the teacher in improving the ability to read the Koran of students in ahkamul mad wal qasr, makharijul huruf and ahkamul huruf in the Baitul Makmur MDTA Pekanbaru city. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were madrasa teachers and third grade students of MDTA Baitul Makmur Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that in improving the ability to read the Koran, students made several efforts, such as: using the tartil method, using the recitation method, using the sima'i method and visualizing material carried out by the teacher to make it easier for students to improve their reading ability.

Abstract

The rapid development of the times brings a negative side that is difficult to filter for the Indonesian nation, which affects the morals, attitudes and behavior of a person, especially for teenagers. Moral deviation or moral decadence is an erosion of identity related to the moral decline of religious values, nationalism, socio-cultural values and the development of individual morality. To minimize the phenomenon of student moral decadence that occurs, schools have a major role to suppress the growth of moral decadence turmoil among the increasingly uncontrollable progress of the times. One of the schools that has successfully overcome moral decadence and received an award for implementing pesantren-based character education from the education office is SMK Harapan Bangsa Panti, which is inseparable from the efforts of the school principal. Descriptive qualitative method with primary data in the form of interviews with principals and teachers and secondary data in the form of student agenda books, instruments used notebooks, voice recordings and researchers, data collection techniques interviews, observation and documentation and data analysis techniques are inductive with data reduction steps, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the principal's efforts in overcoming moral decadence are prioritizing discipline, the school provides sanctions for those who violate the discipline, evaluates the school regulation program, runs a religious coaching program and the principal becomes a role model for all school members. The solution to the problems in overcoming moral decadence for adolescents is the principal's efforts in making various programs and running them in a structured and repetitive manner.
