Abstract

Bridal makeup plays an important role in supporting the appearance of the bride, especially for brides who have acne-prone skin. The selection of the right foundation and application tools greatly affects the final result of the makeup. This study aims to analyze the differences in the results of foundation application using a beauty blender, brush, and a combination of both on acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The subjects consisted of three models with similar acne-prone skin characteristics, and involved 30 panelists. Data were collected through observation using research instruments and analyzed descriptively and through a one-way ANOVA test. The results showed a significance value of 0.00 (p <0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the three foundation application methods. The average assessment score showed that the application using a beauty blender scored 22.1 (fairly good category), a brush scored 23.3 (good category), and a combination of both scored the highest, namely 24.4 (very good category). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of a combination of a brush and a beauty blender provides the most optimal results in applying foundation to acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. Abstract

This research is motivated bythe students need to enhance their interest and learning outcomes in skills aspects. The aim of this research is to develop effective learning media for the learning process in the competency of geriatric facial makeup.Therealityat SMKN 1 Buduran shows a lack of learningmedia facilities toimprove the skills required by the students and that these are not suitable for the characteristics of the students at SMKN 1 Buduran. The main objectives of this research specifically consist of four points: 1) To develop video-based learning media, 2) To assess the feasibility of the developed video learning media, 3) To know the students' responses to the developed learning media, 4) To measure students' learning outcomes in the skills aspect. This research employs the R&D method byBorg and Gall.Theresearch sample consists of 36 students from class XI HD MUA at SMKN 1 Buduran. Data collection was carried out through interviews, feasibility validation tests, student response questionnaires, and performance tests based on performance assessmentrubrics. The feasibility validation score from 3 expertsreceived an average total score of 4.60, which falls into the 'verygood' category. The results from 36 students received positive feedback, resulting in an average total score of 4.65, also falling into the 'very good' category. Student learning outcomes in the skill aspect showed the effectiveness of this media, achieving an average total score of 87.3. Therefore, the development of learning media in this research can be said to be successful in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes both in a classical and individual manner in the material of geriatric facial makeup competency. Abstract

Currently, many people use make-up as the main support for their profession, one of which is the product catalog model that makes make-up the main thing, so a perfect appearance is needed and gives a good impression to support the value of the product worn. This study aims to determine the difference in the results of the comparison of the proportion of liquid and cream foundations on the results of make-up on the product catalog model with oily skin types, using 2 samples of foundation proportions with different ratios of liquid and cream foundations. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a quasi-experimental design of the one-shot case study type. The subjects of the study were 30 people, consisting of 3 make-up lecturers, 27 make-up experts or active students of make-up education at the State University of Surabaya. The data collection technique used an instrument sheet/questionnaire to assess the results of make-up with indicators of coverage, smoothness, evenness, durability, photo results and observer preferences. The results of the study obtained an average score of aspects that were averaged of 3.2 in sample X1 (proportion of foundation 2gr liquid: 2gr cream) and 3.57 in sample X2 (proportion of foundation 1gr liquid: 3gr cream). The calculation of statistical test results shows a Mann Whitney U value of 213.500 and a significance value (Asymp, Sig. 2-tailed) of less than 0.001 (p < 0.05). So there is a significant difference between sample data X1 and sample data X2 with sample data X2 having a higher score than sample data X1.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis masalah adalah seperangkat model mengajar yang menggunakan masalah sebagai fokus untuk mengembangkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, materi, dan pengaturan diri. Esensi PBM melibatkan presentasi situasi-situasi yang autentik dan bermakna, yang berfungsi sebagai landasan bagi investigasi dan penyelidikan siswa. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan masalah autentik dan bermakna sebagai fokus, untuk mengembangkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah dan penyelidikan siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK atau Classroom research dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dengan 3 topik/ pokok materi dari mata kuliah Dasar Rias yaitu (1) Perawatan kulit wajah, (2) Tata rias wajah sehari-hari (konsentrasi pengaplikasian eye shadow), (3) Tata rias wajah sehari-hari (konsentrasi pengaplikasian shading dan tint). Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan 3 siklus terkait dengan materi pembelajaran dimulai dari Rencana, Tindakan, Observasi, Refleksi.Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian mulai dari siklus I,II dan III tentang penerapan IPTEK didapatkan peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya hingga hasilnya mendapatkan penilaian sangat baik (3,67), untuk hasil analisis penelitian mulai dari siklus I,II dan 3 tentang hasil belajar kognitif/pengetahuan didapatkan peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya hingga memperoleh ketuntasan (88,89%). Untuk hasil belajar psikomotor/keterampilan mendapatkan peningkatan tiap siklusnya hingga hasil penilaian mencapai ketuntasan (88,89%). Untuk hasil penerapan sikap tanggung jawab mendapatkan dari siklus I,II dan III mendapatkan kemajuan pada setiap siklus hingga mendapatkan penilaian sangat baik (3,62).

Abstract

Abstract This research focuses on exploring the application and enhancement of the discovery learning approach to improve students' academic results in manual facial care at SMKN 1 Buduran. The motivation for this research comes from students' unsatisfactory final learning achievements, which stem from their limited engagement in the educational process. The methodology employed in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two stages: planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation. A total of 34 students from the Grade X Skin Beauty Program participated in this study. Data collection methods included observation sheets, assessments of learning outcomes, and documentation review. Implementing the discovery learning approach has led to increased student participation and comprehension, as shown by the rise in the average learning outcome scores from pre-cycle to cycle II. The outcomes related to facial care topics that were not closely tracked have been positively affected by the discovery learning technique.
