Abstract

This research is motivated by students who have difficulty understanding learning concepts because the material discussed requires high memory, knowledge, and understanding skills, resulting in low learning motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of the CLIS learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 24 students in the experimental class and 24 students in the control class. Data collection was carried out through a learning motivation questionnaire and student achievement tests. Data were analyzed by calculating the scores obtained from each aspect of the questionnaire and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of the study showed that first, there was an effect of CLIS on student learning motivation. Second, there was an effect of the CLIS model on student learning outcomes. Third, there was a high relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes. This study shows that the application of the CLIS learning model has a positive impact on student motivation and learning outcomes. The implications of these findings are very significant in the context of education, especially at the elementary level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan, yang berarti mengumpulkan data dan informasi dengan menggunakan berbagai macam material yang ada di perpustakaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelaahan literatur, buku, catatan, dan laporan yang terkait dengan masalah yang dibahas. Dalam konteks bimbingan dan konseling, studi ini memiliki tujuan utama yakni mengidentifikasi tren utama, hasil-hasil penting, dan praktik-praktik yang terbaik dalam penggunaan teknologi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan teknologi telah menjadi pemicu penting perubahan dari model tradisional bimbingan dan konseling menjadi lebih akuntabel dan dapat diukur. Beberapa contoh penggunaan tehnologi sebagai media pembelajaran meliputi platfom internet, dan data analitik semua ini difungsikan oleh konselor untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas, responsivitas, serta efektivitas dalam pemberian layanan. Inovasi ini juga secara signifikan memperluas jangkauan layanan, mempermudah pemantauan dan evaluasi detail, serta memperkuat kerjasama konselor. Tantangan dan risiko yang terkait dengan penggunaan teknologi dalam bimbingan dan konseling, termasuk privasi, keamanan data, dan etis diakui pentingnya untuk mempersatukan teknologi ke dalam praktik yang dapat diterima. Konsekuensi dari hal ini adalah perlunya kebijakan, pedoman serta fasilitas pendukung yang mendukung implementasi teknologi secara efektif dalam bidang layanan bimbingan dan konseling.

Abstract

This research was essentially conducted to understand the Guidance and Counseling Service program in vocational high schools (SMK). It further discusses the importance of the Guidance and Counseling Service program in SMK, the depiction of the Guidance and Counseling Service program in schools, and alternative models of the Guidance and Counseling Service program in SMK. This research is a literature review study sourced from various writings such as books and research articles. The obtained sources were then analyzed to see their relevance to the research objectives. It was found that the Guidance and Counseling Program is essential, especially in SMK. The depiction of the Guidance and Counseling Service program indicates that the Guidance and Counseling Program should also be based on several other analyses besides the students' needs. Furthermore, there are several alternative models in the Guidance and Counseling Service program that can be further researched regarding the suitability and accuracy of the planning model with the conditions in schools.

Abstract

Schools are educational institutions where students study and provide services that have a good management system. It is impossible for a guidance and counseling service program to be implemented well if it is not supported by school personnel, the following are school personnel related to guidance and counseling service activities including: principal, deputy principal, guidance teacher coordinator (counselor), guidance teacher and counseling, administrative staff, subject teachers and homeroom teachers. Relationships with the duties of each school personnel are certainly very helpful in the success of guidance and counseling programs in schools. So here it is very necessary for organizational management and administration of guidance and counseling in schools to create good performance among school personnel in supporting the success of the guidance and counseling program in schools. Organization and administration of guidance and counseling as an effort to manage and mobilize various personnel and materials in order to achieve the objectives of guidance and counseling. So that the work of guidance and counseling services runs smoothly, efficiently and effective

Abstract

In the growing digital era, online academic guidance and counseling is a practical solution in supporting students in achieving student academic success. This article aims to explore the level of student satisfaction with academic guidance and counseling provided online by academic supervisors in the Electrical Engineering Study Program at Padang State University. The research method in this study uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate a fairly high level of satisfaction from students towards academic guidance and counseling conducted by academic supervisors online. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for universities in understanding the needs of students related to guidance and counseling in the digital era. This research opens up future research opportunities to develop a more interactive and user-friendly platform to support online academic guidance and counseling.

Abstract

Success in learning will generate positive self-esteem. Competence and achievement are integral elements of self-esteem and related to self-esteem assessment, at SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh it is still found students who have low academic self-esteem such as being ashamed of their physical condition which is not ideal so they do not dare to present themselves , the lack of student effort in practicing self-ability. Conditions like this are a concern, so efforts are needed to increase student self-esteem by providing group guidance services with cognitive restructuring techniques. Therefore, this study aims to (1) analyze the differences in self-esteem of students in the experimental group before and after attending group guidance services using the CBT approach with cognitive restructuring techniques, (2) analyzing the differences in self-esteem of students in the control group before and after attending group guidance services commonly used by counseling teachers at schools (3) analyzing differences in self-esteem of students in the experimental group who attended group counseling services using the CBT approach with cognitive restructuring techniques with groups controls who attended group guidance services that are usually used by guidance counselors at school. The research method used is a quantitative approach. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The sample of this research is 10 students for the experimental group and 10 students for the control group. Sampling using the Slovin formula and sampling with purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique uses a self-esteem scale, Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov two independent samples using SPSS version 25.00. The results showed that (1) there was a significant difference in the self-esteem of the experimental group students before and after attending group guidance services using the CBT approach with cognitive restructuring techniques, (2) there was a significant difference in the self-esteem of the control group students before and after attending the service group counseling which is usually used by counseling teachers at school, and (3) there are differences in the self-esteem of students in the experimental group who take part in group guidance services using the CBT approach with cognitive restructuring techniques and the control group who take part in group counseling services which are usually used by counseling teachers in schools, This can be seen in the posttest average score of the experimental group which was higher than the control group's posttest average score. So, group counseling cognitive behavior therapy with cognitive restructuring techniques is effective for increasing student self-esteem.

Abstract

The government is trying to reduce poverty by providing assistance, one of which is in the field of education, the problems that occur with PIP students make this assistance not have an optimal impact. This study aims to analyze the application of counseling using logotherapy techniques to increase the meaning of life in vocational students receiving PIP. The population of this study was 93 PIP recipient students, the sample was taken using a simple random technique. Data collection uses observation, interviews and meaningful life questionnaires. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design type. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis of the percentage formula to determine the state of the meaning of life in students, so that it can be seen that the condition of the meaning of life for vocational students receiving PIP has a percentage of 47, 31%, while to determine the effectiveness of using logotherapy techniques analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test formula. The results showed that logotherapy counseling was effective in increasing the meaning of life for vocational students receiving PIP with an Asymp Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.005.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya manajemen berkualitas dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah, yang dapat menangani kebutuhan dan permasalahan siswa secara efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, mengumpulkan data dari buku, jurnal, dan penelitian terdahulu, yang kemudian dianalisis secara kritis untuk menghasilkan teori baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen yang terarah dan sistematis dalam bimbingan dan konseling berperan sebagai indikator kinerja konselor dan meningkatkan mutu layanan. Manajemen ini melibatkan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, dan penilaian. Manajemen yang baik dalam bimbingan dan konseling, mendukung terciptanya suasana belajar yang inovatif dan menyenangkan, serta mengembangkan potensi siswa secara maksimal.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still many teachers who teach their students only through thematic textbooks. This research aims to develop an Integrated Thematic learning Module Based on Problem-Based Learning that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the Critical Thinking Ability of Class V Students in Elementary school. The type of research used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model. Based on the results of the development research carried out, the results obtained were that the validity of the module based on the lesson plan expert obtained an average of 100% (very valid), the material expert validator obtained a result of 91.6% (very valid), the result obtained by the language expert was 76% (valid), and the acquisition of media experts was 69.10% (quite valid). The practicality of the modules carried out by educators and students was carried out as a result of trials carried out on 20 students at SDN 127/II Sungai Arang, and SDN 197/II Pulau Pekan who obtained a total average of 93.83%, and 90.83%. or in the very practical category. The effectiveness of the module developed was carried out by comparing the critical thinking abilities of students who used the module (experimental group) with students who used school textbooks (control group). In the initial stage, both sample groups were given a pretest with the same level of questions. From the results of the analysis, the average for experimental class students was 25.00, and for control class students, the average was 96.90. This research concludes that the development of an integrated thematic learning module based on Problem-Based Learning to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in elementary schools is declared valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

The management of Guidance and Counseling (GC) programs plays a strategic role in determining the success of counseling services in schools, particularly in Vocational High Schools (SMK), where students are oriented toward the world of work. This study aims to analyze effective management strategies for GC programs in improving service effectiveness at vocational schools. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving guidance counselors, school principals, and students as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that effective management strategies for GC programs encompass four key functions: (1) needs-based program planning, (2) collaborative resource organization, (3) innovative service implementation aligned with vocational student characteristics, and (4) continuous data-driven evaluation. The application of these strategies enhanced the effectiveness of counseling services, as reflected in increased student participation, achievement of service goals, and the establishment of a positive school culture. Supporting factors include strong school leadership, professional competence of counselors, and supportive institutional policies. These results emphasize that GC program management is not merely an administrative function but a strategic component essential for delivering high-quality and relevant counseling services that meet the developmental and vocational needs of students in the digital era.
