Abstract

Drug abuse at the Intitusi Penerima Wajib Lapor (IPWL) Mercusuar Foundation Pekanbaru City. Group guidance can help adolescents to understand that they are not alone in facing problems and can get support from others who experience the same problems. From the results of survey observations that researchers conducted, it was found that drug abuse was by adolescents aged 17-21 years. This research aims to find out how the implementation of group guidance in developing self-confidence in adolescents who abuse drugs at the Mercusuar Foundation Recipient Institution (IPWL) Pekanbaru City. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research methods, descriptive methods are research that seeks to describe phenomena that occur in a real, realistic, actual, real way. Data is taken directly from the field through interviews with 2 addiction counselors and 3 drug abuse adolescents. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that group guidance is effective in helping adolescents to overcome drug addiction problems by increasing self-confidence, social support, and strengthening relationships between group members at the Intitusi Penerima Wajib Lapor (IPWL) Mercusuar Foundation Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the cultural anthropology perspective in the development of multicultural counseling models to address social adjustment issues in adolescents. Through literature studies, the article analyzes the integration of cultural anthropology in counseling, the effectiveness of multicultural approaches, and the challenges and opportunities that exist. The research results show that a deep understanding of culture is crucial in creating relevant and effective counseling interventions for adolescents from diverse backgrounds.

Abstract

Classical conditioning adalah teori psikologi yang pertama kali diperkenalkan oleh Ivan Pavlov yang berfokus pada pembentukan asosiasi antara stimulus netral dan respons otomatis. Dalam konteks pendidikan, prinsip classical conditioning dapat digunakan untuk menanamkan kebiasaan belajar yang efektif pada siswa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan teori ini dalam lingkungan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam mengembangkan kebiasaan belajar yang positif dan memotivasi siswa untuk lebih terlibat dalam proses belajar. Dengan mengidentifikasi stimulus yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku belajar siswa, guru dapat menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan efektif. Selain itu, penerapan classical conditioning dapat membantu siswa dalam mengatasi perasaan cemas atau takut terhadap pembelajaran, sehingga menciptakan suasana yang lebih kondusif untuk pertumbuhan akademik mereka. Penelitian ini akan mengungkap bagaimana penggunaan teknik-teknik seperti penguatan positif, pengulangan, dan penanaman asosiasi dapat mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan kebiasaan belajar yang produktif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Limitations in interpersonal communication can hinder students' social development and affect students' ability to build healthy relationships, but many adolescents still lack interpersonal communication skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of group guidance using assertive training techniques in improving students' interpersonal communication skills. The type of research is experimental research with a non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study population amounted to 362 students. The sample of this study was 33 students. The methods used to collect data are interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire sheet. The technique used to analyze data is inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the control group's interpersonal communication skills score increased from 166.1 to 167.1, while the average score of the experimental group students' interpersonal communication skills increased. The results of hypothesis testing show differences in interpersonal communication skills in both groups. It is concluded that the assertive training technique effectively improves the interpersonal communication skills of  grade students at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the managerial practices of Guidance and Counseling services in supporting students' learning autonomy within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the holistic development of students’ competencies, including self-directed learning as a key component of the Pancasila Student Profile. In this context, guidance and counseling services play a strategic role, particularly in assisting students in identifying their potential, designing learning goals, and managing time and learning strategies independently. This research employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving counseling guidance teachers and students at a junior high school. The results reveal that well-planned, organized, and continuously evaluated Guidance and Counseling services contribute positively to students’ learning autonomy. However, challenges such as limited-service time and lack of managerial training for counseling guidance teachers remain. The findings recommend strengthening the managerial capacity of counseling guidance teachers to optimize service delivery in alignment with the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini berfokus pada manajemen POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) yang diakui sebagai kerangka kritis untuk mengoptimalkan layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di sekolah. Meskipun pentingnya manajemen ini, implementasinya di lapangan menghadapi tantangan signifikan, seperti kurangnya sumber daya, pelatihan yang tidak memadai, dan resistensi terhadap perubahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, yang mencakup analisis berbagai sumber terkait implementasi POAC dalam konteks BK. Hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk mencapai efektivitas dalam layanan BK, diperlukan integrasi teknologi yang memadai, pelatihan manajerial bagi guru BK, serta kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi manajemen POAC tidak hanya bergantung pada teori, tetapi juga pada praktik yang relevan dan dukungan dari seluruh pihak terkait di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, langkah-langkah strategis perlu diambil untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada demi meningkatkan kualitas layanan BK.

Abstract

This study is a comparative experimental study that aims to obtain information on whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students taught using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model and students taught using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model. The population of the study was two classes IV of elementary school. The sampling technique used was random sampling to determine experimental class I and experimental class II, each class consisting of 23 and 22 students. Data were collected through objective learning outcome tests in both experimental groups. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the learning outcomes of grade IV students who were taught using the NHT-type cooperative learning model had an average value of 81.04 with a standard deviation of 9.2022.In contrast, the learning outcomes of students taught using the TGT-type cooperative learning model had an average value of 85.09 with a standard deviation of 9.2526. Inferential analysis was carried out using the Independent Samples t-test to compare the average learning outcomes of the two groups, with testing the assumption of homogeneity of variance through Levene's Test. The results of the inferential analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using the NHT-type cooperative learning model and the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using the TGT-type cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Poor interpersonal communication skills will hinder students in building and maintaining harmonious relationships. Effective communication if utilized properly has the potential to prevent and resolve problems or conflicts between individuals, groups, tribes, nations, and races. Efforts to improve students' interpersonal communication skills are carried out by providing material mastery services through small group discussion learning models. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of material mastery services through small group discussion learning models by comparing achievements before and after treatment. This study uses quantitative methodology. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The study population was junior high school students, with samples taken using the Purposive Sampling technique, namely two classes classified as moderate interpersonal contact, both of which are equivalent. This study uses the Likert Scale paradigm for data collection, which is then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test, facilitated by SPSS version 26. This study concludes that topic mastery services using the small group discussion model effectively improve students' interpersonal communication skills. The gap in interpersonal communication skills between students in the experimental group, who received content mastery services through a small group discussion model, and those in the control group, who were only given structured content mastery services, was 0.000, indicating a probability below 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

Konseling kelompok adalah metode intervensi yang sangat efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan psikologis, emosional, dan sosial seseorang. Dengan berinteraksi dalam kelompok, anggota memiliki kesempatan untuk membahas berbagai permasalahan, mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, serta mendapatkan dukungan dari sesama anggota. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena transferensi dan kontra-transferensi dalam konseling kelompok serta dampaknya terhadap dinamika kelompok dan efektivitas terapi. Transferensi merujuk pada proyeksi perasaan dan pengalaman masa lalu anggota kelompok terhadap konselor atau anggota kelompok lain, sedangkan kontra-transferensi adalah respons emosional konselor terhadap anggota kelompok yang dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman pribadi konselor. Berdasarkan kajian literatur, transferensi dan kontra-transferensi dapat mempengaruhi kualitas interaksi dan hasil terapi kelompok. Pengelolaan yang efektif terhadap kedua fenomena ini sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan psikologis anggota kelompok. Strategi yang diidentifikasi dalam penelitian ini termasuk kesadaran diri, fasilitasi diskusi terbuka, dan penggunaan pendekatan integratif untuk memaksimalkan manfaat dari transferensi dan kontra-transferensi dalam proses konseling kelompok.

Abstract

Philosophy of education plays a crucial role in shaping the foundation of thinking and action for elementary school educators. Teachers are not only instructors but also character builders, moral guides, and agents of social transformation. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing previous research on implementing educational philosophy in elementary education. The findings reveal that applying various philosophical perspectives—such as progressivism, idealism, essentialism, and perennialism provides clear direction for the learning process and supports the development of students’ critical thinking, reflective abilities, and integrity. Therefore, mastering the philosophy of education is essential for teachers to create meaningful, value-based, and future-oriented learning experiences.
