Abstract

Dairy farming business opportunities in Jember Regency. An active role in supplying fresh cow’s milk to large companies that process fresh cow’s milk. This research aims to find alternatives to the superior potential of agroindustrial dairy development in the Jember Regency. Research design is quantitative research with an expert systems approach. Instruments were used in the form of observations, in-depth interviews with questions that have been compiled in a research questionnaire format. Analytical techniques used are exponential development methods, analytical hierarchy process, and financial feasibility. The following General Geographical Conditions are following the Potential for Livestock Development in Jember Regency. Increasing the superior potential of agroindustry with the support of special cow seedlings, the availability of processing technology, and the needs of business institutional development steps. The contribution of this research is to provide an alternative strategy for the development of the dairy milk business. Abstract

Budidaya tanaman hortikultura, khususnya buah-buahan menjanjikan keuntungan yang tinggi dengan terbuka lebarnya permintaan pasar, sehingga banyak diminati petani dan pelaku agribisnis di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Analisis komoditas buah unggulan merupakan salah satu upaya mewujudkan prioritas kebijakan di sektor pertanian di tengah keterbatasan kemampuan keuangan daerah agar anggaran pelaksanaan urusan pertanian di Kabupaten Banyuwangi dapat berfungsi secara efisien dan efektif guna tercapainya peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komoditas buah yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif, untuk mengetahui komoditas buah dengan keunggulan kompetitif, serta untuk menentukan komoditas buah yang menjadi prioritas pengembangan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi buah dengan keunggulan komparatif adalah Location Quotient (LQ). Sedangkan metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi buah dengan keunggulan kompetitif adalah Shift Share Analysis (SSA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan jeruk siam/keprok dan manggis merupakan komoditas yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif dengan nilai LQ jeruk siam/keprok sebesar 3,76 dan LQ manggis sebesar 1,40. Hasil analisis SSA meunjukkan bahwa durian, jeruk besar dan manggis besar merupakan komoditas buah dengan keunggulan kompetitif dengan nilai SSA masing-masing sebesar 0,64, 0,33 dan 0,08. Dengan demikian, buah manggis merupakan komoditas buah yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif dan keunggulan kompetitif karena memiliki nilai LQ 1 dan nilai SSA 0 dan disarankan menjadi prioritas pengembangan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi.

Abstract

Shallots are vegetable commodities that have long been superior and have been intensively cultivated by many farmers. They belong to the group of non-substituted spices that function as food seasonings and ingredients for traditional medicines. Banyuwangi Regency is one of the regencies that produces shallot commodity in East Java Province. Shallot production in Banyuwangi Regency each year has rapidly increased. Meanwhile, the shallot harvested area in Banyuwangi Regency has fluctuated, meaning that there is an opportunity to develop shallots. In addition, shallots are one of the horticultural crops that play a role in increasing the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the Banyuwangi Regency. The supporting factors for shallot farming are suitable land and government support. A study was aimed to analyze the strategy of developing shallot agribusiness in the Banyuwangi Regency. The SWOT method (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) was employed to determine the internal and external factors of the shallot business, followed by Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to determine the development strategy by using the priority strategy generated from SWOT. It was found that the shallot agribusiness in Banyuwangi was feasible to be developed. The priority of the resulting strategy was to maintain and increase the production and quality of shallots in Banyuwangi Regency to meet high market demand with the highest value of 7.23.Bawang merah termasuk komoditas sayuran yang sudah lama menjadi unggulan dan secara intensif telah banyak diusahakan petani. Bawang juga termasuk ke dalam kelompok rempah tidak bersubstitusi yang digunakan sebagai bahan obat tradisional dan bumbu penyedap makanan. Kabupaten Banyuwangi merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di provinsi Jawa Timur sebagai daerah penghasil sektor pertanian dari komoditas bawang merah. Setiap tahunnya, data produksi bawang merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi mengalami peningkatan mulai dari 3.423  sampai dengan 6.322 ton (Badan Pusat Statistik Banyuwangi, 2019). Sedangkan untuk luas panen bawang merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi mengalami fluktuatif, tahun 2016 – 2019 yaitu sebesar 314, 319, 322, 556 ton (Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan, 2019) sehingga ada peluang untuk pengembangan bawang merah. Selain itu   bawang merah sebagai juga termasuk tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki peran dalam meningkatkan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Ada beberapa faktor yang mendukung usaha tani bawang merah yaitu lahan yang cocok dan adanya dukungan pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan agribisnis komoditas bawang merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Metode yang digunakan adalah (Stenght, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) SWOT untuk menentukan faktor internal dan eksternal usaha bawang merah, Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) untuk penentuan strategi pengembangan dengan menggunakan prioritas strategi dihasilkan dari SWOT. Dari penelitian dihasilkan bahwa usaha agribisnis komoditas bawang merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi layak untuk dikembangkan, prioritas strategi yang dihasilkan yaitu mempertahankan dan meningkatkan produksi serta kualitas bawang merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yang tinggi dengan nilai tertinggi yaitu 7,23.

Abstract

Noni or pace (Morinda citrifolia) is a medicinal plant with much interest from entrepreneurs in the traditional medicine industry and researchers in various countries. This study aimed to design the development of an agro-industry business (UD. ZAM) to increase competitiveness. The design of this research was descriptive using the expert system method. The analysis technique employed the MSME DSS software version 2.0 with a legal, marketing, management, human resources, environmental, and financial analysis model to design a Decision Support System. The results obtained were that UD. ZAM already had complete business legalization, such as Company Registration Certificate (TDP) 13.07.5.47.25386, Trading Business License (SIUP) 503/0087/411/2015, Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) 72.691.633.1-626.000, and Permit Industrial Business (IUI) 503/3212/411/2015, and P-IRT NO2133509103570-21. Therefore, with the license certificate, UD. ZAM was legal. In the marketing of noni products so far, it is export-oriented, which has advantages so that it can be developed. In terms of production performance, it shows the required production process and aspects of human resources provided by UD. ZAM standard regional minimum wage (UMR) and employment in rural areas, in a high feasibility environment, because it was easy to obtain materials and in financial aspects such as the assumption of an interest rate of 15%, break event point (BEP) quantity 25,833.87 and ( BEP) sales 261.397.03.77, benefit coast ratio (BCR) 2.35, payback period 1.23, net present value (NPV) 18.066.137.185.78, probability index (PI) 11, 28, and internal rate of return (IRR) 56.44. Keywords: Noni Agroindustry; Decision Support System (DSS).Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) adalah tanaman obat yang banyak peminatnya dari kalangan pengusaha industri obat tradisional dan peneliti diberbagai negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang pengembangan usaha agroindustri UD. ZAM untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif menggunakan metode expert system. Teknik analisis menggunakan software DSS UMKM version 2.0 dengan model analisis aspek hukum, aspek pemasaran, aspek produksi, aspek manajemen dan sumber daya manusia, aspek lingkungan, dan aspek keuangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah UD. ZAM telah memiliki kelengkapan legalisasi usaha Tanda Daftar Perusahaan (TDP) 13.07.5.47.25386, Surat Izin Usaha Perdagangan (SIUP) 503/0087/411/2015, Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (NPWP) 72.691.633.1-626.000, Izin Usaha Industri (IUI) 503/3212/411/2015, dan P-IRT NO2133509103570-21. Pemasaran produk noni selama ini berorientasi ekspor yang memiliki kelebihan kepastian pasar sehingga layak untuk dikembangkan, pada aspek kinerja produksi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan rendah, aspek sumber daya manusia sistem upah yang diberikan oleh UD. ZAM standart Upah Minimum Regional (UMR) dan memberi lapangan pekerjaan pada masyarakat pedesaan, pada aspek kinerja lingkungan tingkat kelayakan tinggi, karena selama ini mudah untuk mendapatkan bahan baku, pada aspek keuangan seperti asumsi tingkat bunga sebesar 15%, break event point (BEP) kuantitas 25.833.87 maupun (BEP) penjualan 261.397.03,77,benefit coast ratio (BCR) 2,35, payback period 1,23, net present value (NPV) 18.066.137.185,78, probability index (PI) 11,28, dan internal rate of return(IRR) 56,44 maka layak dikembangkan lebih lanjut

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine alternatives of development of milk production industry in Jember Regency, to design the alternatives strategy for the development of dairy agroindustry in Jember Regency, and to examine the level of the financial feasibility of dairy agroindustry in Jember Regency. The research utilized purposive sampling in three industries: Bestcow, Susu Sehat Kaliwates, and Susu Rembangan. The analysis employed the Exponential Development Method, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and financial analysis. The Exponential Development Method showed that the potential milk product of Bestcow industry was 209.781.572, pasteurization product was 6.309.948, and yogurt was 5.433.148. The Susu Sehat industry got a value of 192.298.250 milk product, pasteurization product of 4.505.828, and yogurt was 3.122.910. Rembangan industry got a value of analysis milk product was 189.872.469, pasteurization product was 6.299.604, and yogurt was 5.344.431. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis showed that availability of breeding, technology, and business development were the most priority alternative strategies to be developed.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan alternatif potensi unggulan pengembangan agroindustri olahan susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Jember, mendesain strategi alternatif pengembangan agroindustri olahan susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Jember dan menentukan tingkat kelayakan finansiil agroindustri olahan susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive sampling yaitu di Perusahaan Bestcow, Susu Sehat Kaliwates dan Susu Rembangan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Metode Pengembangan Eksponensial (MPE), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan kelayakan finansial. Hasil analisis Metode Pengembangan Eksponensial (MPE) pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produk susu sapi yang paling potensial pada perusahaan Bestcow adalah susu segar kemasan 209.781.572, susu pateurisasi 6.309.948 dan yogurt 5.433.148. Pada susu sehat Kaliwates diperoleh nilai susu segar kemasan 192.298.250, pasteurisasi 4.505.828 dan yogurt 3.122.910. Susu Rembangan diperoleh nilai susu segar 189.872.469, pasteurisasi 6.299.604 dan yogurt 5.344.431. Hasil analisis Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan bibit sapi, ketersediaan teknologi pengolahan dan pengembangan kelembagaan usaha adalah strategi alternative yang paling prioritas untuk dikembangkan.

Abstract

The dimensions of food security include four main components, namely: availability, access, use, and the purpose of this activity is to formulate and describe a plan for the development of a sustainable food house area in the SDG village, Bangsalsari district, Jember regency. The methods used are: field observation, FGD, and mentoring and training activities. The target audience for this activity are: Farmers and Young Farmers in Sukorejo Village, Bangdalsari District, Jember Regency. Conclusions from this activity: (a) a master plan for the development of KRPL in SDG Bangsalsari Village, Jember Regency has been successfully compiled which consists of: (1) Utilization of farmhouse yards for cultivation of vegetables and horticulture, and livestock and fisheries which are carried out independently and managed in one integrated management supports the success of the SDG program in Jember Regency, (2) the target of this activity and is committed to supporting and implementing the activity plans that have been jointly launched, (3) the need for operational funding support to implement an adequate and accountable KRPL plan under the assistance of the team Integrated College

Abstract

Functional drinks are promoted as products that have health benefits. Yogurt is a functional product that is fortified with calcium, fiber and probiotics. Yogurt imports have increased by 225.98%, this means that it is in line with the increasing need for Indonesian people to consume yogurt. The purpose of this study was (1) to analyse the effect of consumer preferences on yogurt purchasing decisions, (2) to analyse the effect of consumer perceptions on yogurt purchasing decisions, (3) to analyse the effect of consumer awareness on yogurt purchasing decisions. The variables observed in this study were consumer preferences, consumer perceptions, consumer awareness, and purchasing decisions on yogurt. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The data obtained were processed using SEM-PLS. Respondents are consumers who often shop at the five modern retailers in the city of Banyuwangi. The results of this study indicate that consumer preferences for yogurt are still considered quite low. Respondents already know that the composition contained in yogurt products is important in deciding to buy. The relationship between consumer perceptions of purchasing decisions is positive. Consumer awareness of purchasing decisions has a significant influence. Respondents already know that yogurt is a healthy fermented milk drink.

Abstract

Along with the dynamics of population growth and economic growth targets, especially in urban areas, the availability of land for agricultural cultivation is increasingly difficult and increasingly narrow. This means that the agricultural sector is increasingly marginalized due to pressure and the development of other sectors that have led to the massive conversion of agricultural land functions. The purpose of this community service activity is to produce educators (trainers) at the basic education level about the introduction of hydroponic cultivation. The implementation methodology: (1) as the target audience, namely SDIT Harapan Jember teachers, (2) the approach methods used are: (a) classically in delivering the material and (b) field practice, namely participants directly carrying out hydroponic cultivation practices starting from determining the equipment. and materials, seedlings, planting, to proper and correct harvesting methods, (3) Tools and materials used: hydroponic cultivation manuals, production facilities, and hydroponic cultivation installations. The results of the activity show that: (a) the number of participants is 10 teachers, (b) material presented: prospects and opportunities for hydroponic cultivation, hydroponic cultivation techniques, and harvesting and postharvest, (c) the results of the evaluation of the implementation of the activity show an average score of 4.32, namely the Good category, (d) the level of mastery of theory and practice, the average score of the actual post-test score is 6.7 (good enough category).

Abstract

Pada situasi pandemi seperti saat ini permintaan terhadap produk obat herbal mengalami peningkatan. Buah mengkudu merupakan salah satu tanaman obat herbal yang dipercaya masyarakat memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan. Salah satu UMKM yang memproduksi obat herbal sari buah mengkudu adalah UD ZAM yang didirikan oleh Akhmad Muadi. Lokasi produksi berada di Jalan Tembokrejo Gang I Dusun Ampeldendo, Desa Bagorejo Kecamatan Gumukmas, Jember, Jawa Timur. Bahan baku buah mengudu diperoleh dari lahan sendiri dan pasokan petani mitra di wilayah Jember dan sekitar. Tujuan kegiatan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam budidaya tanaman mengkudu yang terstandarisasi yang disebut GAP (Good Agriculture Practice). Metode yang digunakan dalam bimbingan teknis ini yakni survey, klasikal dalam penyampaian materi pelatihan, dan praktek langsung di lahan budidaya mengkudu. Kesimpulan dari hasil kegiatan ini yakni: (a) kegiatan bimbingan teknis  ini yang diikuti lebih 30 petani mitra berjalan sukses dan lancar yang ditunjukkan kesungguhan dan interaksi dua arah yang cukup intensif, (b) evaluasi akhir hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa petani mitra telah memahami dengan baik tentang prosedur GAP yang ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan dalam  mendeskripsikan, dan mempraktekkan  prosedur/teknik budidaya mengkudu secara benar dan tepat, dan (c) menyerahkan 50 batang bibit mengkudu unggul kepada petani mitra

Abstract

Lumajang Regency, especially Bades Village, is one of the central managements of coastal and marine areas in East Java Province. One of the fishermen groups in Bades Village is the Mina Dampar Fishermen Group. Until now, these fishermen groups have not been able to utilize coastal areas for small-scale people's ponds due to limited knowledge of intensive shrimp farming technology, limited access to capital, and limited market information. This Technical Guidance aims to broaden horizons and introduce vannamei shrimp farming technology to fishermen who are members of the Mina Dampar group. This technical guidance activity was carried out at the Fish Landing Base in Bades Village and was targeted at the Mina Dampar Fishermen Group. The mentoring method used is the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method. This Technical Guidance aims to broaden horizons and introduce vannamei shrimp farming technology to 10 fishermen who are members of the Mina Dampar group. This technical guidance consists of outreach activities and field orientation. This activity shows that fishermen are interested in cultivating vannamei shrimp in Bades Village, especially freshwater vannamei shrimp cultivation. Cultivating freshwater vannamei shrimp can be a source of income for fishermen while doing housework.
