Abstract

Cayenne pepper is one of the largest horticultural crop commodities produced in Jember Regency. Cayenne pepper has a high economic value and is in great demand by the people of Jember Regency, but the commodity price of cayenne pepper has a pattern of sharp fluctuations. The purpose of this research is to predict the price and identify the factors that influence the price of cayenne pepper in Jember Regency. This research is included in the type of quantitative descriptive research that uses the Holt-Winters Exponential Smoothing method as forecasting and the simple regression method as a determinant of the factors that influence prices. The results of this study are the most optimal forecasting parameter values, namely the alpha (????) value of 0.5, beta (β) of 0 and gamma (γ) of 0.22, and produce a MAPE value of 34%. Factors that affect changes in the price of cayenne pepper in Jember Regency are the price of substitute ingredients (red chilies) and rainfall.

Abstract

UD Al Jaliil is one of the white tofu producing agroindustry in Jember Regency. The challenge faced in maintaining quality is that defective products are still found. To deal with this problem, UD Al Jaliil needs to carry out quality control using the Six Sigma method. This study aims to 1) analyze the implementation of quality control at UD Al Jaliil using the Six Sigma method 2) determine the DPMO value and Sigma level of white tofu products 3) identify the factors that cause defective products so that efforts to improve the quality of white tofu can be determined. Quality control is carried out using the Six Sigma method. Six Sigma is a quality control method by reducing the level of defects through five DMAIC stages, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The results showed that the process at UD Al Jaliil had not been fully controlled properly because there were still processes that were outside the control limits. The DPMO value of 306,300 units/process means that in one million products produced there is a possibility of 306,300 defective products. The Sigma level of UD Al Jaliil is 2.0064 Sigma. And there are several factors that cause texture defects of white tofu, namely man, machine, method, material and environment factors.

Abstract

East Java Province's sole producer of noni juice (NONI), UD. ZAM, was founded in 2014. Only noni fruit that meets very high quality criteria is used as the primary raw material for noni juice. Noni juice, also referred to as Tahitian Noni, is the principal product created after the noni fruit naturally ferments. Two primary challenges, specifically low quality assurance, are the focus of the 2023–2026 partner SME development roadmap, which was created in collaboration with the Implementation Team. The use of pasteurization technology using the double jacket method is the main goal of the effort. Surveys, the creation of double jacket pasteurization machines, installation, instruction, and field support are some of the activity methods used. The result of this community service project is a set of double jacket pasteurization machines that can effectively replace the outdated method of pasteurizing noni juice both technically and economically

Abstract

Cultivating vannamei shrimp has dominated fishery sectors and led to aquaculture development to enhance the Indonesian economy. Lumajang, specifically Bades Village, is one of the potential regions in Jawa Timur for improving fishery products because of its long shoreline of approximately 75km. Developing shrimp cultivation requires vast funds, intensive pond systems, and broad markets. Consequently, a large number of vannamei shrimp cultivation is controlled by a large company, which will supersede the role of traditional or local fishermen. This program utilizes two main methods: socializing about the opportunity of production, cultivation, and building a business entity of vannamei shrimp and practicing creating a small pond using geomembrane as a natural insulator. These activities intend to significantly increase the interest and enthusiasm of fishermen to develop vannamei small pond systems as a solution for economic independence and new income sources. As a result, a local fishing group, widely known as Mina Dampar as a partner, accepted and approved those programs implemented in their region in a 2000m2 land area.

Abstract

Jember merupakan salah satu kota penghasil kopi terkenal di Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Perkebunan Jawa Timur, Jember merupakan penghasil kedua setelah Malang. Selain itu, juga karena konsumsi kopi di Kabupeten Jember sangat banyak bahkan minum kopi menjadi bagian  gaya hidup masyarakat Jember. Tapi selama ini kopi hanya di buat minuman saja. Saat ini diversifikasi olahan kopi menjadi camilan belum begitu banyak, sehingga mendorong Bhedag kopi merupakan produsen kopi murni dan olahan yang mengembangkan camilan kopi menjadi kerupuk. Nama kerupuk yang sedang dikembangkan adalah kerupuk kopi dengan  nama Kerupi. Usaha ini dimulai karena melihat keinginan pengemar akan produk olahan kopi. Sebelum memproduksi kerupuk kopi yang dilakukan adalah survei ke pasar melihat animo konsumen peminat kopi akan porduk varian kopi dalam bentuk camilan. Menurut survei yang dilakukan oleh produsen pada tahun 2022, bahwa konsumen mengemari kopi dan menunggu inovasi dari produsen, sehingga bedhag kopi mengembangan usaha dengan kerupuk kopi. Survei yang dilakukan ke daerah kampus baik di jalan Jawa, Jalan Kalimantan dan jalan Mastrip untuk melihat respon pasar akan produk olahan kopi. Hasilnya dari jumlah konsumen sebanyak 60 orang, yang merespon dengan baik kerupuk kopi sebanyak 48 orang, dan sisanya kurang suka akan kerupuk kopi. Melihat potensi kerupuk kopi menjanjikan dan belum ada produsen kerupuk kopi maka bedhag kopi memproduksi kerupuk kopi. Kerupuk kopi belum banyak pesaingnya dan konsumen hanya kalangan tertentu peminat kopi. Tempat usaha kerupi ini sangat strategis yaitu daerah Tegalbesar Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember.

Abstract

Kopi merupakan komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki nilai ekspor tinggi dalam peningkatan pendapatan nasional, melalui cukai dan devisa. Akan tetapi banyaknya faktor penyebab yang mempengaruhi nilai suatu produk ditangan konsumen, khususnya pada faktor pemasaran kopi. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, adalah analisis faktor internal (IFE) dan eksternal (EFE), perumusan strategi dengan analisis SWOT, dan dilanjutkan dengan penentuan alternatif strategi dengan menggunakan Analytical Hierarki Process (AHP). Hasil analisis data dalam penilitian ini terdapat 8 faktor yang terdiri 4 faktor internal yaitu 2 faktor kekuatan dan kelemahan, serta 4 faktor eksternal yaitu 2 faktor peluang dan ancaman. Perumusan strategi kelompok tani pertama ialah ketersediaan petani memiliki bobot 0,310 dan prioritas strategi kedua ketersediaan bahan baku memiliki bobot 0,179 prioritas ketiga dukungan kelembagaan 0,163 dan prioritas ke empat ketersediaan teknologi moderen 0,078. Pada alternatif strategi dengan AHP menghasilkan 5 alternatif strategi akan tetapi 1 alternatif strategi yang direkomendasikan kepada kelompok tani yaitu penyediaan promosi yang memiliki nilai sebesar 0,363. Pada strategi prioritas utama ialah dengan membangun tim promosi dalam meningatkan pemasaran kopi robusta di konsumen.Kata Kunci : Kopi Robusta, Faktor IFE dan EFE, SWOT, AHP, Kabupaten Jember.

Abstract

Sektor perikanan memiliki peran vital dalam perekonomian nasional sebagai penyedia lapangan kerja, sumber pendapatan, dan sumber protein hewani bernilai tinggi. Pengembangan perikanan harus adaptif terhadap tantangan masa depan, termasuk memprediksi perkembangan di sistem produksi dan pasar serta perubahan sumber daya. Meskipun PT. Timur Mandiri Akuakultur memiliki kekuatan seperti sumber daya air yang cukup, tantangan keterbatasan modal, persaingan harga, dan ketidakstabilan harga pakan perlu diatasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini terkait dengan faktor-faktor strategis, alternatif dan prioritas apa yang paling tepat dalam strategi pengembangan Strategi Pengembagan Budidaya Perikanan Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) Di PT. Timur Mandiri Akuakultur Kabupaten Jember. Metode pengolahan dan analisis data, terdiri dari analisis deskriptif dan analisis formulasi strategi. Alat bantu analisis yang digunakan adalah matriks IFE, matriks EFE, matriks faktor internal- eksternal (matriks IE), matriks SWOT. Adapun kesimpulannya adalah PT. Timur Mandiri Akuakultur memiliki potensi besar dengan kekuatan seperti sumber daya air melimpah dan lokasi strategis, namun menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan modal, benih, dan promosi, serta persaingan dengan ikan laut segar dan fluktuasi harga. Strategi yang paling menarik adalah "Meningkatkan Efisiensi Produksi dan Menurunkan Biaya Operasional" dengan nilai Attractiveness Score tertinggi, menjanjikan kesuksesan bagi bisnis ikan nila di Perusahaan.

Abstract

Research to understand consumer needs and plan strategic service quality improvements. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by collecting data through questionnaires to 100 respondents who meet certain criteria. Data was analyzed based on five SERVQUAL dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The research results show that the average gap in the five SERVQUAL dimensions is positive, indicating a good level of customer satisfaction, but still requires improvement in several aspects, such as the number of employees, responses to complaints, and payment systems. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis identifies priority attributes that must be improved, while House of Quality (HOQ) analysis produces improvement strategies, including the implementation of a modern payment system, employee training, and the provision of supporting facilities. This research concludes that structured and continuous service improvements are needed to increase consumer satisfaction and business competitiveness. Strategic recommendations are provided to support the sustainability of Resto Kemuning Polije in facing competition in the service industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan banyaknya jumlah pembelian bahan baku tepung sagu yang optimal pada setiap kali pemesanan, kapan waktu yang tepat untuk melakukan pemesanan kembali (reorder point) bahan baku tepung sagu, dan berapa total biaya persediaan (total inventory cost) yang optimal untuk pengadaan bahan baku tepung sagu di Perusahaan Sohun Cap Mawar dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Hasil analisis yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) jumlah kuantitas pembelian bahan baku tepung sagu yang  optimal adalah sebanyak 24.649 kg pada setiap kali pesan dengan frekuensi pembelian bahan baku sebanyak 4 kali dalam satu tahun. Persediaan pengaman yang dihasilkan dengan metode EOQ yaitu sebesar 1.008 kg, dengan pemesanan ulang bahan baku tepung sagu ketika persediaan mencapai sebesar 1.658 kg. Total biaya persediaan bahan baku tepung sagu dengan menggunakan metode EOQ yaitu sebesar Rp 29.578.808.

Abstract

Due to the lack of a defined and organized Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Roti SS now confronts considerable hurdles in its tear-off bread production processes. There is a lack of clear direction at every level of production due to manufacturing methods that still mostly rely on verbal instructions and ingrained habits. Consequently, the process's efficiency is hindered and the employees' performance is subpar. The first goal of this study is to fully identify every step in the MSME Roti SS torn bread production process in order to address these issues. Second, create thorough and suitable SOPs for every one of these phases. Third, assess how well the SOPs that have been created and put into place are working. In order to fully comprehend and address issues with product quality and operational efficiency in SS Bread MSMEs in Jember, this study combines descriptive qualitative and quantitative methodologies. According to the study's findings, MSME Roti SS's quality and operational efficiency have improved as a result of the design of SOPs at every step of the torn bread production process and the successful implementation of these procedures, which is demonstrated by a notable drop in defective products. It was observed that the SOP's application was able to cut the quantity of defective goods produced in a single procedure by 14%. Employees still need to adapt their personal protective equipment (PPE) when using SOP.
