Abstract

Mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi membutuhkan latihan, umpan balik, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memahami perspektif dan pengalaman para profesional STEM mengenai pentingnya komunikasi yang efektif dan dampaknya terhadap pertumbuhan dan pencapaian profesional mereka. Melalui wawancara mendalam dan analisis tematik, penelitian ini menyelidiki sifat multifaset keterampilan komunikasi dalam STEM. Temuan penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya komunikasi verbal, tertulis, dan visual dalam STEM. Analisis kualitatif mengungkapkan keterampilan komunikasi verbal praktis. Ini termasuk menyajikan temuan penelitian secara efektif dan terlibat dalam dialog interdisipliner, memungkinkan para profesional STEM untuk berkolaborasi secara efektif, bertukar ide, dan mendorong inovasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengungkap peran penting komunikasi visual dalam menyampaikan konsep ilmiah yang kompleks kepada peserta yang beragam. Studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana alat bantu visual yang berdampak, seperti visualisasi dan ilustrasi data, meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan pemahaman informasi ilmiah, yang mengarah pada peningkatan keterlibatan dan penyebaran pengetahuan yang lebih luas. Profesional STEM menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam mengembangkan dan mengasah keterampilan komunikasi mereka. Ini mengeksplorasi hambatan, seperti kurangnya penekanan pada pelatihan komunikasi dalam pendidikan STEM dan norma budaya yang memprioritaskan keahlian teknis daripada komunikasi yang efektif. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi strategi dan sumber daya yang digunakan para profesional STEM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi mereka, termasuk partisipasi dalam lokakarya, mencari bimbingan, dan memanfaatkan platform digital untuk komunikasi sains—peran penting keterampilan komunikasi dalam mencapai kesuksesan dibidang STEM. Komunikasi verbal, tertulis, dan visual yang efektif sangat penting dalam mendorong kolaborasi interdisipliner, penyebaran pengetahuan, dan inovasi. Dengan mengenali dan mengatasi tantangan yang terkait dengan keterampilan komunikasi, program pendidikan dan penelitian STEM dapat membekali para profesional dengan lebih baik dengan alat yang diperlukan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara keahlian teknis dan dampak sosial yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Sweet corn is a food crop that has a sweeter taste than ordinary corn. It has high economic value and has a shorter harvest time. The demand for corn is increasing in Indonesia but corn production is not sufficient to meet it. For this reason, efforts to increase sweet corn production are needed to consume the people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oil palm bunch ash and cow manure ameliorants on the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) on peat soil. The pot experiment was conducted in Bandar Agung Village, Lalan District, Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra of Indonesia dated from December 2022 to March 2023. This study used a Randomized Factorial Block Design which consisted of 2 factors which were the first factor was dose of oil palm bunch ash consisting of control, oil palm bunch ash at 20 tons ha-1 and 60 tons ha-1. The second factor was dose of cow manure at control, 42 tons ha-1 and 84 tons ha-1. Total treatment was 9 combinations and it were repeated 3 times. For each treatment was left 2 plant samples. The results showed that no significant effect for plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight. Application of 60 tons ha-1 of oil palm bunch ash + 42 tons ha-1 of cow manure showed the best combination results on sweet corn growth because it has the highest found on each variable observed. Abstract

This research aims to explore the solutions for recording marriages following the issuance of Supreme Court Circular (SEMA) Number 2 of 2023. According to the law, a marriage is valid if it meets the cumulative elements of Article 2, paragraphs (1) and (2), which require that it be in accordance with religious and belief systems and recorded according to regulations. Conversely, a marriage is invalid if it does not comply with religious and belief laws, resulting in the inability to register it. Before the issuance of the SEMA, interfaith marriages could be registered at the Civil Registry Office by submitting a registration application to the local District Court. However, after the issuance of this circular, such registration is no longer possible. The research method adopts a normative juridical approach, delving into literature data, particularly legislation. Despite the new regulations, interfaith marriage registrations can still occur, as judges may base their decisions on the Population Administration Law rather than the Marriage Law. Article 56, paragraph (1) of the Marriage Law essentially requires Indonesian citizens to comply with the marriage law, leaving no room for interfaith marriages. Therefore, to prevent registrations by judges at all court levels, it is necessary to reconstruct the Population Administration Law and require that one of the parties adheres to the religion and/or beliefs of their partner.

Abstract

Slip beading is an edge treatment that is commonly carried out by the sports shoe industry. Slip beading is a treatment on the edges that can add to the appearance of shoes to be more aesthetic. Slip beading is actually very good even though the work is difficult because the ribbon for the slip beading can use a different color from the color of the top of the shoe, but by being clever in choosing the color you will get shoes with a good appearance and contrasting color variations. Difficulties in the application of variations of slip beading arise due to the thickness of the material and it is only possible to do it with sophisticated equipment. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct research on the application of slip beading variations on shoes with classic models. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with an experimental method. That is trying to test with several samples of size variations in slip beading and several materials to find the best composition of size variations and material variations. The results of this study are the emergence of oxford shoe designs with variations of slip beading that match the material and width of the shoe components.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the characteristics of judicial reviews carried out by the Supreme Court and efforts to increase the competence of Supreme Court judges through differentiation of judges' expertise in judicial reviews. This research is normative legal research with a conceptual and statutory approach. The results of the research show that the characteristics of the judicial review carried out by the Supreme Court are extensive or broad in nature, not only focusing on and referring to the hierarchy of statutory regulations, but the Supreme Court must first qualify a statutory regulation that is formed based on authority or on the orders of higher statutory regulations. The means to increase the competence of Supreme Court judges through differentiation of judges' expertise in judicial review are necessary so that judges' considerations can be comprehensive and substantive. Differentiation of expertise of Supreme Court judges is oriented towards aspects of special training for judges related to judicial review at the Supreme Court because the characteristics of judicial reviews are testing general and abstract norms, and further differentiation of judges' expertise needs to be optimized in terms of the types and characteristics of the regulations being tested.

Abstract

Star anise essential oil (EO) and oleoresin (OL) consists of various volatile compounds that can be easily damaged and affect their quality and function. The degradation is mainly caused by the deterioration and release of their active components. Encapsulating the extracts into a composite matrix can give slow release and minimize the contact between active compounds and surrounding. Cellulose-PEG composite has good compatibility and affinity, it can retain the extracts so does their biological activities. In this work, the essential oil and oleoresin were encapsulated into the cellulose-PEG composite with a ratio of 1:2 (µL EO and OL per mg of composite). The cellulose was obtained from extraction of star anise residue of EO and OL isolation. The extraction steps were pre-alkalization, alkalization, and three-stage bleaching. Antibacterial assay for the samples uses a combination of agar disc and well method, where the pure one uses the disc as absorbent and both the disc and composite are put in the well. The diameter of the inhibition zone against Staphylococcus aureus was observed once a week for eight week. The result shows that pure and composite-packed star anise essential oil and oleoresin samples have fluctuating antibacterial activity during the obeservation. Both packed EO and OL show a lower difference of the diameter of the inhibiton zone which indicated the composite can retain the antibacterial activity of the star anise essential oil and oleoresin. Abstract

Kontrol dan monitoring tanaman secara otomatis pada Smart Farming harus dilakukan untuk menjaga tanaman tumbuh berkembang dan hasil panen yang baik. Koneksi jaringan internet yang buruk pada Internet of Things Smart farming system mengakibatkan buruknya automasi yang dilakukan. Diperlukan Otomasi Hybrid untuk menanggulanginya. Menggabungkan online dan offline automation menggunakan NodeMCU dan Arduino Mega untuk membangun hybrid automation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Hybrid Automation pada Internet of Things Smart Farming System sangat penting dan harus ada. Kontrol dan monitoring tanaman pada sistem smart farming dapat terus dilakukan dalam keadaan koneksi jaringan internet baik atau buruk.

Abstract

Mixing urea with natural materials that can reduce the rate of urea dissolution is known to increase the N availability replenished by inorganic fertilizers which absorbed by plants for growth and production.This study aimed to examine the effective of application of pellet N fertilizer prepared by coal fly ash- azolla and urea on the response of corn planted in acidic Ultisol. This pot experiment was performed in the greenhouse and soil analysis was conducted in the Laboratory of Chemistry, Biology and Soil Fertility, Soil Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research was arranged using a completely randomized design with nine treatments and three replications. The treatments applied were a mixed composition materials (w/w) of 50% coal fly ash + 50% azolla, and 40% coal fly ash + 60% azolla respectively. Each composition (w/w) of 70% coal fly ash- Azolla mixture was then incorporated by 30% urea and compacted as pellets using a manual screw extruder. In addition, to compare the effect of pellet, it was done the other treatment by granular urea fertilizer only applied by immersing and sowing on the soil surface. The results showed that the application of N slow release using the pellet forms significantly increased N availability, plant N uptake, plant height and dry weight of corn. The N slow release as a pellet can reduce the dose of N inorganic fertilizer as urea by 25%. The response of corn at a dose of 0.75 times is not significantly different from the dose of 1 times the recommended dose of N.

Abstract

Since its inception, Muhammadiyah, which was founded in 1912 by KH Ahmad Dahlan, has had DNA and a commitment to religious moderation. This article discusses Muhammadiyah's role in promoting religious moderation and examines how this organization is a pioneer in creating inter-religious harmony in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method by taking several data and references sourced from several fatwas, articles and websites of the Ministry of Religion, as well as various literature that supports the topics discussed in this research. The data that has been collected is analyzed and interpreted through discussions between the authors to arrive at the research objectives. The research results show that Muhammadiyah has made a significant contribution in spreading the values ​​of tolerance and inclusiveness which support social stability in Indonesia. Abstrak Sejak awal, Muhammadiyah yang didirikan pada tahun 1912 oleh KH Ahmad Dahlan telah memiliki DNA dan komitmen terhadap moderasi beragama. Artikel ini membahas peran Muhammadiyah dalam mempromosikan moderasi beragama dan mengkaji bagaimana organisasi ini menjadi pelopor dalam menciptakan kerukunan antarumat beragama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dengan mengambil beberapa data dan referensi yang bersumber dari beberapa fatwa, artikel, dan website Kementerian Agama, serta berbagai literatur yang mendukung topik dalam pembahasan penelitian ini. Data yang telah terkumpul tersebut dianalisis dan diinterpretasi melalui diskusi di antara para penulis hingga sampai pada tujuan-tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muhammadiyah memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam menyebarkan nilai-nilai toleransi dan inklusivitas yang mendukung stabilitas sosial di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi Program Sekolah Penggerak di SDIT Salsabila 3 Banguntapan dengan menggunakan metode evaluatif dan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian berfokus pada efektivitas program dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah melalui model evaluasi Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) dari Stufflebeam. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi terhadap proses pembelajaran dan fasilitas sekolah, serta wawancara semi terstruktur dengan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala kurikulum, dan guru. Data sekunder dikumpulkan dari dokumen-dokumen seperti modul ajar, kurikulum, dan rapor pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi mencatat proses pembelajaran serta kondisi sarana dan prasarana sekolah, sementara wawancara mendalami pelaksanaan program dan dampaknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada komponen Context, Program Sekolah Penggerak sejalan dengan visi dan misi sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Pada komponen Input, sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana mendukung pelaksanaan program, meskipun terdapat keterbatasan pada fasilitas laboratorium dan bahan ajar. Pada komponen Process, proses implementasi program berjalan dengan baik, namun beberapa guru memerlukan pelatihan lanjutan dalam metode pembelajaran inovatif. Pada komponen Product, program telah memberikan dampak positif pada peningkatan keterampilan guru dan hasil belajar siswa, namun evaluasi berkelanjutan masih diperlukan untuk memastikan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.
