Abstract

This study aims to examine the understanding of students of SMAN 1 Surakarta towards the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE), especially in the aspect of social media rights and the importance of background verification when applying for a job. This study used a qualitative approach with interview and participatory observation methods. The results showed that although students have basic knowledge of the prohibitions in ITE Law, their understanding of specific articles and legal consequences is still low. Formal education on ITE Law has not been optimally integrated in the school curriculum, so students obtain information from the media or personal experience. When it comes to verifying information when applying for a job, students tend to focus on the technical aspects, with no awareness of the importance of building a digital reputation. These findings underscore the need for educational approaches that are contextualized and based on students' digital experiences, such as case study-based learning and collaboration with legal practitioners. This research contributes to the development of digital law learning designs that are responsive to the needs of Generation Z and opens up opportunities for further research on digital legal literacy at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This study discusses the preventive measures against piracy attacks faced by MV. X while transiting High Risk Areas. The purpose of this research is to identify the vessel’s vulnerability factors to piracy attacks and analyze the procedures and preventive actions that have been implemented. A descriptive qualitative method was used, including observation, in-depth interviews with crew members and armed guards, as well as document analysis of anti-piracy SOPs. The research findings show that the vulnerabilities of MV. X are due to limited drill training, suboptimal implementation of procedures, and inconsistency in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Based on these findings, it is recommended to increase the frequency and depth of simulation drills, enforce PPE usage standards, and update deck access security procedures. In conclusion, consistent implementation of procedures and structured training will enhance vessel security during High Risk Area transits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of overtime work on physical and mental fatigue of the crew of the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya, by identifying the causal factors and consequences that may arise due to additional working hours. In this study, the researcher will apply a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted by the author on the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya owned by PT Pelayaran Manalagi which is a subsidiary of PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines, with the ship call sign "YBTL2" and a total load capacity of 52201 MT. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of this research data used source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it explains that the Overtime Pattern: The crew of the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya experienced an average of 4.5 hours of overtime per day, with the Engine Department experiencing the highest overtime (an average of 5.2 hours). Overtime most often occurs during loading and unloading at the port (35%) and when facing bad weather (27%), Physical Impact: Continuous overtime causes significant physical impacts in the form of sleep disturbances (80%), back and waist pain (70%), and muscle pain (60%), Mental Impact: As many as 85% of crew experience moderate to severe mental fatigue due to overtime, with the main symptoms being difficulty concentrating (75%), irritability (65%), and decreased decision-making ability (60%). Safety: There is a strong positive correlation (r = 0.82) between the duration of overtime and the frequency of safety incidents. The risk of incidents increases by 28% for every additional 2 hours of overtime, Work Performance: Overtime has an impact on decreased work performance, especially in problem-solving skills (45%), compliance with procedures (41%), and effective communication (37%), Overtime Management: The most effective overtime management strategies are task rotation and fatigue management training, but their implementation is still not optimal. Limited number of personnel and operational demands are the main obstacles in minimizing overtime, Regulatory Compliance: Average working hours of MV ship crew. Keywords: Overtime Work, Physical Fatigue, Mental Crew.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the main purpose of examining and analyzing the specific needs of elementary school teachers in designing and implementing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model that is grounded in the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, with the ultimate goal of enhancing students’ critical thinking skills as a crucial competency in the 21st century. The study is rooted in the understanding that critical thinking is not only a fundamental learning outcome but also a key skill for students to thrive in modern society, while at the same time recognizing the current limitations in technology integration within elementary-level PBL practices. A quantitative descriptive method was employed, involving a purposive sample of 100 elementary school teachers who provided data through structured questionnaires and interviews. The analysis focused on five core indicators, namely teachers’ initial knowledge of TPACK-based PBL, the availability of facilities to support its implementation, teachers’ participation in relevant professional training, the degree of TPACK integration in classroom learning, and the actual application of PBL in teaching practice. Findings revealed that only 36% of teachers possessed sufficient awareness of TPACK-based PBL, 40% reported having adequate facilities in their schools, 40% had previously joined related training, 36% had integrated TPACK into their instruction, and 50% had applied PBL in their classrooms. These results clearly demonstrate a significant gap between existing practices and the ideal conditions needed for maximizing the potential of TPACK-based PBL. Consequently, the study emphasizes the urgency of developing and strengthening this model by improving teacher knowledge, ensuring continuous professional development opportunities, and promoting the effective use of technology to foster innovative, contextual, and student-centered learning that can systematically nurture critical thinking abilities in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of company size on the quality of sustainability reports in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and to analyze the role of stock prices as a moderating variable in this relationship. The theory used as the main basis is stakeholder theory, which states that companies have a responsibility to disclose sustainability information in order to meet stakeholder expectations. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling in energy sector companies that published sustainability reports and financial reports in the period 2021–2023. Company size is measured by the natural logarithm of total assets, sustainability report quality is measured by the disclosure score using the GRI standard, while stock price is measured by the natural logarithm of the year-end closing price. The results show that company size has a positive effect on the quality of sustainability reports, and stock price significantly strengthens the relationship. These findings support stakeholder theory, that larger companies with high market value tend to provide greater transparency to stakeholders through better quality sustainability reporting.
