Abstract

School-age children play a strategic role as an investment for the nation's progress, considering they are the future generation. Optimal growth and development in school-age children heavily rely on the provision of nutrition and nutrient intake. Snacking habits and food consumption play a crucial role in determining children's nutritional status, as imbalanced food intake can lead to nutritional problems such as malnutrition or obesity. This study aims to investigate the relationship between snacking habits and food consumption with children's nutritional status. This research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study consists of sixth-grade students at Elementary School Inpres 08 Mamboro with a sample size of 48 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire covering variables such as snacking habits, food consumption, and children's nutritional status. Analysis indicates that the majority of respondents have poor snacking habits (64.6%) and inadequate food consumption (58.3%). Chi-square test results demonstrate a significant relationship between snacking habits and children's nutritional status (? = 0.004) and between food consumption and children's nutritional status at Elementary School Inpres 08 Mamboro (? = 0.00). Poor snacking habits and food consumption can negatively impact children's nutritional status, while good food consumption can help maintain optimal nutritional status. Therefore, efforts are needed to enhance understanding and practice of healthy eating habits among school-age children to support their growth and development.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting remains a major public health concern in Indonesia. Local-food supplementary feeding (PMT berbasis pangan lokal) is prioritized in national strategies, yet implementation fidelity varies. This study aimed to assess determinants of PMT implementation in Donggala, Indonesia, a sequential explanatory mixed-methods approach among community health cadres and health workers, guided by Edwards III’s policy implementation framework. Methodology: A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was employedmixed-methods sequential explanatory design was applied. Quantitative data were collected via structured questionnaires from 54 cadres and health workers, while qualitative insights were derived from focus group discussions (FGDs). . Binary logistic regression examined the associations between communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure with PMT implementation, adjusting for education, occupation, and years of service. Results are presented as odds ratios (ORs), 95% confidence intervals (CIs), pseudo-R², and exact p-values. Qualitative data were derived from focus group discussions and analyzed thematically to contextualize quantitative findings. Results: Disposition emerged as the only statistically significant determinant in the adjusted model (OR = 21.01; 95% CI: 3.02–146.18; p = 0.002), whereas communication, resources, and bureaucratic structure lost significance after adjustment. Qualitative findings reinforced these results, highlighting intrinsic motivation, peer solidarity, and willingness to serve as key drivers of implementation. Participants also identified systemic barriers, including unclear SOP dissemination, limited resources, and administrative burdens, which affected program continuity and cadre performance. Conclusion: Cadre disposition plays a pivotal role in PMT implementation; however, its effectiveness depends on supportive structural and resource conditions. Motivation alone cannot compensate for weak communication systems, limited budgets, or burdensome administrative procedures. Strengthening supervision, improving communication channels, and ensuring adequate resource allocation are essential. Findings should be interpreted cautiously given the modest sample size and non-validated measurement instruments. Further research using larger samples and validated tools is recommended.

Abstract

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is mandated by Minister of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022, but its implementation at the Kamaipura Community Health Center still faces technical obstacles such as slow internet connection and incomplete reporting features. This study aims to analyze the level of satisfaction of EMR application users using the PIECES Framework method (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, and Service) at the Kamaipura Community Health Center, Sigi Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a questionnaire instrument distributed to health workers (doctors, nurses, midwives, and medical records officers). Data analysis used multiple linear regression tests to determine the partial (t-test) and simultaneous (f-test) effects of PIECES variables on user satisfaction. The results showed that all PIECES Framework variables simultaneously have a significant influence on user satisfaction of the EMR application. Partially, only system reliability (performance) had a significant effect on the perception of health worker satisfaction, while information quality, economic, control/security, efficiency, and service showed no significant partial effect. It can be concluded that the PIECES method is effective in mapping weaknesses in the EMR system. The recommendations of this research are the need to increase internet network capacity, complete reporting features, and prepare official SOPs.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an essential aspect of creating a safe working environment in hospitals. However, the reporting of occupational accidents remains suboptimal. This study aimed to analyze the determinants influencing awareness of occupational accident reporting at the Technical Implementation Unit of Madani General Hospital, Palu. Method: This research employed a quantitative method with a cross- sectional design. The study population consisted of all medical and non- medical health workers totaling 753 individuals, with a sample of 289 respondents selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Google Form–based questionnaire. Data analysis included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test, and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. Result: The results showed a significant relationship between coworker support (p=0.000) and knowledge of OHS reporting procedures (p=0.000) with awareness of occupational accident reporting. Meanwhile, basic knowledge of OHS was not associated with reporting awareness (p=0.862). The variable of OHS training history could not be analyzed because all respondents (100%) had never attended OHS training. Multivariate analysis indicated that coworker support was the most dominant variable influencing awareness of occupational accident reporting, with an Exp(B) value of 68.178. Discussion: In conclusion, coworker support and knowledge of OHS reporting procedures significantly influence awareness of occupational accident reporting, with coworker support identified as the most dominant factor. Hospital management is recommended to enhance workplace support, strengthen the dissemination of OHS reporting procedures, and conduct regular OHS training to improve awareness of occupational accident reporting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the incidence of ISPA (Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Atas) in excavation C workers in the working area of the Gonengganti Health Center, Donggala Regency. This study is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The research population is all excavation C workers in the working area of the Gonengganti Health Center, with a total sample of 83 people taken using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire that included dust exposure levels, PPE use, duration of dust exposure, and smoking history. Data analysis was carried out univariately, bivariately using chi-square test, and multivariately using logistic regression. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that dust exposure level, PPE use, dust exposure duration, and smoking history had a significant relationship with the incidence of ISPA in excavation C workers (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that dust exposure level and PPE use were the most dominant factors associated with ISPA incidence, with odds ratio (OR) values > 1, indicating that workers with high dust exposure and not using PPE consistently have a greater risk of experiencing ISPA than other workers. The conclusion of this study shows that the incidence of ISPA in C excavation workers is influenced by work environment factors and worker behavior. Therefore, efforts are needed to control dust exposure, increase compliance with PPE use, regulate work duration, and provide education on the dangers of smoking as preventive measures to reduce the risk of ISPA in excavation C workers.
