Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model problem-based learning berbantuan alat peraga benda konkret terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi-experimental atau eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III sekolah dasar yang terdiri dari 9 kelas dalam 8 Sekolah Dasar yaitu sebanyak 232 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 23 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 27 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data kemampuan numerasi diperoleh dengan memberikan instrumen berupa tes objektif bentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Rerata GSn kemampuan numerasi siswa kelompok eksperimen lebih dari rerata GSn kemampuan numerasi siswa kelompok kontrol yaitu 0,576 >0,336. Data kemampuan numerasi selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji t. Nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 9,58 >2,01. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan numerasi antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model problem-based learning berbantuan alat peraga benda konkret dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode ceramah. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem-based learning berbantuan alat peraga benda konkret berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa.

Abstract

Rendahnya kompetensi pengetahuan Matematika siswa kelas menjadi dampak dari minat siswa dalam belajar Matematika yang rendah karena penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media komik terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan Matematika siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu bentuk desain rancangan yaitu Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi sebanyak 241 siswa, sedangkan sampel sebanyak 63 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dengan soal uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh Fhitung = 120,25 dan dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh Ftabel = 4,00. Dengan demikian, nilai Fhitung > Ftabel, sehingga H0 ditolak. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan Matematika kelompok ekperimen dan kelompok kontrol setelah mengendalikan pretest. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media komik berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan Matematika siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran ini memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap Matematika.

Abstract

The numeracy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia remain low, as reflected in national and international assessments. Conventional teaching methods are ineffective in improving numeracy skills, necessitating a more interactive and engaging approach. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of mobile game-based learning in facilitating numeracy education. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved two groups of third-grade students: an experimental group using mobile games and a control group using PowerPoint. Data were collected through numeracy tests covering number relations, arithmetic operations, and counting. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in numeracy skills compared to the control group, with a p-value of 0.043. These findings suggest that mobile game-based learning is more effective, interactive, and flexible in enhancing students' numeracy skills. The study recommends mobile games as an innovative alternative learning medium in elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi ekonomi di kelas V sekolah dasar yang masih disampaikan secara konvensional dan kurang kontekstual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas media pembelajaran berupa buku pintar elektronik berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan serta pemahaman konsep ekonomi siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas V sebanyak 19 siswa. Metode dan instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif, kualitatif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Media ini dirancang dengan pendekatan PBL yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif berpikir kritis, memecahkan masalah nyata, serta bekerja secara kolaboratif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi PBL dalam media digital dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna bagi siswa sekolah dasar, serta dapat menjadi referensi bagi guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran ekonomi yang inovatif.

Abstract

Materi pecahan pada kelas III Sekolah Dasar sering menjadi tantangan bagi siswa karena bersifat abstrak dan kurang dikaitkan dengan pengalaman nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis media pembelajaran Sanca berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SD sebanyak 18 orang. Pada jenis data ini dapat dikelompokkan menjadi dua jenis data diantaranya data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Metode dan instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan tes. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik analisis data, yaitu analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, kualitatif dan analisis statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata post-test siswa lebih dari nilai KKTP.  Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Sanca berbasis PBL efektif untuk digunakan dalam pengajaran materi operasi hitung pecahan.  Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis PBL yang dikembangkan secara kontekstual dan visual dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar Matematika pada jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The lack of student engagement and the limited use of contextual media in elementary school mathematics learning have driven the need for the development of innovative problem-solving-based e-comics to enhance understanding and learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to develop a problem-solving-based e-comic learning medium that is valid, practical, and effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The research subjects included design experts, content experts, instructional design experts, media experts, and 14 fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively through interviews, questionnaires, and tests to assess teacher needs, student responses, and effectiveness. The results of the media feasibility assessment from subject matter experts (92%), instructional design experts (92.5%), learning media experts (91%), individual trials (92.5%), and small group trials (93.6%) all fell into the "very good" qualification. The one-sample t-test results showed that tcount (3.022) > ttable (1.770) at a 5% significance level. In conclusion, the problem-solving-based e-comic learning medium is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. The implication is that this medium can be used as an alternative learning tool that is more engaging and effective.

Abstract

Learning media plays a very important role in teaching Mathematics at the elementary school level because it helps students transform abstract concepts into more concrete and understandable forms. However, the low understanding of Grade III students regarding long division material is caused by the limited availability of engaging and contextual learning media. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the interactive multimedia “Porogapit Math” based on bar diagrams, which is feasible and effective for use in Mathematics learning. The development model employed in this study was the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects consisted of 28 Grade III students. Data collection methods and instruments included questionnaires to test the validity and practicality of the multimedia, as well as essay tests to measure its effectiveness. Data analysis techniques were conducted using quantitative descriptive, qualitative, and inferential methods. Based on the results of the t-test, the obtained t-value was 2.287, while the t-table value with df = (n – 1) = 27 at a 5% significance level was 2.052, indicating that tvalue > ttable, meaning that H₀ was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia “Porogapit Math” based on bar diagrams is effective for teaching division material in Grade III. The implication of this study is that “Porogapit Math” can serve as an innovative learning alternative that facilitates students’ understanding of long division concepts in a visual, interactive, and enjoyable way.

Abstract

The background of this research indicates a lack of innovative learning media and contextual approaches in mathematics education, resulting in monotonous teaching that negatively impacts students' learning outcomes. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on a contextual approach for the topic of equivalent fractions. The research model used is the ADDIE development model, with subjects comprising 39 fourth-grade students. The results of this study are very promising. The design review by experts received an excellent rating, and the feasibility testing indicates that the interactive multimedia based on the contextual approach is suitable for use in teaching. This is based on: the content/material review by experts rated as very good, the instructional design review rated as very good, the media review rated as very good, the individual trial rated as very good, and the small group trial rated as very good. Furthermore, the effectiveness test yielded a tvalue of 14.046 and a critical tvalue of 1.686, indicating that tvalue ≥ critical tvalue (14.046 ≥ 1.686), which means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia based on a contextual approach is effective for use in mathematics learning with the topic of equivalent fractions in fourth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is still dominated by conventional approaches that lack active and meaningful student engagement, resulting in low conceptual understanding. This study aims to develop and prove the effectiveness of an interactive Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) to enhance the engagement and learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. This research is a development study using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects consisted of 25 fourth-grade students. The data collection methods and instruments included interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive quantitative, qualitative, and inferential analysis. The results showed that the developed interactive LKPD had a very high level of validity and practicality, and it was effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding in mathematics and collaboration skills. The implications of this study indicate that project-based learning media designed according to the characteristics of elementary students can serve as an innovative solution to improve the quality of mathematics learning in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

Abstract

This research aims to be motivated by the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Number 4 Darmasaba in the distribution material which is classified as unsatisfactory, students have not achieved the expected learning outcomes. The development of interactive multimedia was chosen as a solution to mathematics learning problems, especially in distribution material for class IV because it was based on the results of an analysis of the needs of students and educators carried out in the field, namely at SD Number 4 Darmasaba. This research uses the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data collection instruments used in the development of interactive multimedia based on Android-assisted numeracy literacy for class IV division material at SD Number 4 Darmasaba are questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of effectiveness tests that have been carried out, interactive multimedia based on Android-assisted numeracy literacy is effectively used for class IV division materials at SD Number 4 Darmasaba
