The study aimed to find out the effect of the implementation of scientific approach - based project learning method to stimulate the early child’s autonomy skills. This study was conducting by quasi-experiment research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of the research is the whole group B TK Gugus IV Cempaka Denpasar Barat which is involving 529 children. The sample is taken randomly by using a random sampling technique. B1 group TK Sila Dharma amount to 24 children as the experimental group and B1 group TK Kumara Tunggal amount to 26 children as the control group. The data is taken by non-test techniques is observation. Data were analyzed using the t-test. Based on the result of the analysis, the average score of the experimental group (88,88) is higher than the average score of the control group (82.00). The result of the analysis using t-test with dk = 24 + 26 – 2 = 48 and α = 5% obtained t-count > t-table is 3,018 > 2,021 it means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. It means that there was a significant difference in early child autonomy between classes that were taught by the project learning method based on the scientific approach and classes that were taught by the conventional learning model. Thus, the project learning method based on the scientific approach influences to early child autonomy of group B TK Gugus IV Cempaka Denpasar Barat Academic Years 2018/2019.

Grandparenting is a part of parenting that is done by grandparents in the family to substitute the role of parents. This study aims at investigating the role of grand-parenting in early childhood education in the South Bali tourism area. This study implemented qualitative research method through phenomenological approach. Observation and interview were conducted to collect the data. Five subjects were selected through purposive-theoretical sampling, with the following criteria: (1) Hindu grandparents in the traditional village of Legian, (2) live and raised in the traditional village of Legian, (3) having grandchildren who study in early childhood education, (4) active and directly involved in parenting. The result of study revealed that grandparents have several roles in early childhood education, including: affection, education, social support, religious and cultural values. Self-monitoring is required to maximize the fulfillment of parenting. The implementation of grandparenting is influenced by the cultural value system (Tri Kaya Parisudha) as a nurturing foundation in shaping children's character. The change of conventional learning into online learning process due to COVID-19 pandemic had brought a significant change towards sense of community stimulation. Direct learning activities are needed considering that the early childhood education progress emphasize sense experiences in which a direct interaction between teachers and students. A dynamic interaction could improve roles as a part of society (sense of community). It was designed in the form of descriptive quantitative to find out a clear picture about the sense of community stimulation conducted by the teachers of The Early Childhood Education Program in North Denpasar, Bali. Proportional random sampling was used to choose the participants. Questionnaire was the instruments used in this study in which it was spread by using Google Form. The data were analysed quantitatively by using statistical descriptive in the percentage form. The findings showed that sense of community stimulation done by the early childhood teachers was positive in the percentage of 85,94 %. The other results were viewed from four indicators such as; teachers’ knowledge categorized as positive (79,59%), the sense of community stimulation strategy in the positive category categorized in strongly positive (86,52%), the sense of community stimulation’s planning, strategy categorized into strongly positive, and the collaboration and enrichment were strongly positive (92,16%).

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic leaves great number of human deaths since its first emergence. The Balinese that praise death through rituals should make some adjustment as there are some religious and traditional activities restriction to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Studies on human rituals have indicated lifelong changes, including in funeral rituals. This research addresses the meaning and adjustment of the death rituals employing various sources and perspectives. Benefiting the investigative study, this research explores the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic to the adaptation of death rituals practices by the Balinese. The research was conducted in Tabanan in the period from May-September 2021. The qualitative research design with focus on observation, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation of family members who lost other family members due to COVID-19 was employed. Data analysis was performed through inductive thematic analysis for data interpretation. Research results indicated that the experience of the sudden loss of family members due to COVID-19 is worsened because of the absence of the proper funeral rituals. The absence of rituals eliminates the social connections and social functions as it serves function as the social-cultural support to accept death. Additionally, it also diminish the grieving period as well as reducing the role of the traditional social institutions (desa adat) as the social-cultural supporter. This paper offers the deeper elaboration on how the Pandemic Covid-19 has affected the Balinese in overcoming death both socially and culturally.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan peran ayah dalam pendampingan pembelajaran jarak jauh anak usia dini mengenai 4 dimensi peran ayah pada masa COVID-19 di Kelurahan Padang Sambian Klod, Kota Denpasar Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wali murid yang ada di Taman Kanak- kanak yang ada di dalam kelurahan Padang Sambian Klod sebanyak 300 ayah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Teknik Proposional Stratified Sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebesar 170 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrument berupa angket yang mengacu pada skala Likert. Rentang nilai yang digunakan adalah 0,80. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tanggap ayah yang sangat baik dengan ditunjukkan 4,30 dari 5,00. Hal yang ditunjukkan oleh keteguhan sikap ayah dinilai sangat baik dan ditunjukkan oleh angka 4,32. Keterikatan perilaku ayah dinilai baik dan ditunjukkan oleh angka 3,88 serta pada keterlibatan afeksi ayah dinilai sangat baik dan ditunjukkan oleh angka 4,31. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi informasi ilmiah kepada peneliti selanjutnya dalam upaya untuk mampu meningkatkan peran serta ayah dalam pendampingan pembelajaran bagi anak usia dini.

In the process of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, early age students have to study from home and need parental guidance. However many parents are still less able to guide their children in online learning activities. This study aimed to analyze fathers’ involvement in early childhood care during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of study was qualitative. The approach used in this study was a case study. Data collection used interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) methods. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data was a descriptive qualitative analysis of data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study were as follows. First, fathers still carry out learning activities but do not leave their duties as a father. Second, fathers still take the time to present themselves to their children by accompanying them to activities. Third, the responsibility given by the father to the child is indeed more dominant in financial terms. Fourth, fathers’ activities when they are with their children are various ways. It was concluded that fathers still made time for their children during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Children life will be very dependent on the intensive care provided by the mother. During the child-rearing process, an emotional bond will be established in the interaction between mother and child. The purpose of this study was to explore the parenting styles of mothers for toddlers in Bali. The subjects of this study were 66 mothers with children under five in Bali who came from working mothers, working mothers at home, and housewives, and the sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The variables involved in this study, namely: mother's parenting attachment style, mother's employment status, and demographic data of mothers in Bali. This research uses a quantitative descriptive study approach. Data was collected using questionnaires which were distributed using google form and analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study can explain as many as 66 mothers with children under five, of which 22 people come from mothers who work outside the home with a moderate secure attachment style (the minimum score of secure attachment level is 63, and the maximum score of secure attachment level in this group is 101 ). There were 22 mothers who worked at home, with a minimum score of 71 for secure attachment, and a maximum score of 112 for this group. 22 mothers who did not work with a minimum score of 82 for secure attachment, and a maximum score safe attachment in this group was 118. The results of this study can be used as a development of discussion in parenting science, especially mother's care and attachment.

Treatment options for ASD include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based on learning theory and operant conditioning. Picture cards are an effective medium for object identification for autistic children. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Application of the ABA Method assisted by Picture Card Media on the speaking abilities of students with autism. This type of research is a single-case experimental design which was carried out in three phases, namely the baseline phase (A1), the intervention phase (B) and the baseline phase (A2). The subjects in this study were two children of group B. The collection of research data on the speaking ability of students with autism used observation and interview methods with an observation checklist sheet instrument. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis methods and data presentation was presented visually (visual inspection) in graphical form. The results of data analysis showed that there was a decrease in the frequency of speaking ability and an increase in the frequency of speaking ability from the baseline phase (A1) with an average of 6 to 14.18 in the intervention phase (B) and an increase in the frequency of speaking skills of students with autism during the ABA approach intervention with the help of media picture cards in learning stopped (A2) with an average of 18.7. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the ABA method approach with the help of picture card media in learning the speaking skills of students with autism Group B.

The low ability of empathy possessed by young children makes them lack a sense of sharing, helping, and understanding other people's feelings. Based on the problems found, it is necessary to provide new methods for developing empathy skills in children. A method that can develop empathy skills is an interactive storytelling method based on local wisdom. This research aims to determine the effect of interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom on empathy abilities in group B children. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all group B children, totaling 46 children. group B2, totaling 24 children, was the experimental group and group B1, totaling 22 children, was the control group. Data was collected using the observation method and then analyzed using the t-test. Based on the analysis results, there is a significant difference in abilities empathy between the children who were given interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom and those who were not given interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom. Based on the results of this research, the use of interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom affects the empathy abilities of young children.

Kebingungan guru untuk menentukan cara menstimulasi perkembangan otak dan kognitif anak usia dini yang tepat telah menjadi ke khawatiran saat ini. Stimulasi otak dan kognitif yang tepat sejak usia dini akan berdampak pada generasi yang unggul dimasa depan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan bagi guru terkait cara mengoptimalisasikan stimulasi perkembangan otak dan kognitif anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan mengadakan kegiatan penyuluhan pada guru- guru RA Ath Thooriq sebanyak 12 orang. Data hasil kegiatan dikumpulkan menggunakan tes tulis dan wawancara. Sementara analisis data menggunakan statistic deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan guru tentang stimulasi perkembangan otak dan kognitif anak usia dini setelah kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan.
