Abstract

Concentrically Braced Frame (CBF) is a structural system with high stiffness, so it is recommended to be implemented in earthquake-hazard areas. The stiffness in CBF is contributed by its diagonal component, which is called bracing. Bracing reduces lateral deformation on the frame system because of the earthquake and prevents heavy damage or failure of the structure. So far, several studies have been conducted. However, the effect of the frame height and the bracing configuration on the CBF performance has not yet been clarified. This study analytically investigated several models of CBF in Chevron V Brace and Diagonal configurations. Those models were prepared with different frame heights. The analyses were conducted by employing the cyclic load and considering yield displacement control in each model. The observation was emphasized on the load-displacement hysteresis curve, from which the performance of each model can be revealed. Three parameters of performance are evaluated: strength, stiffness, and dissipation energy. The analysis discovered that the Diagonal CBF performed better than the Chevron V Brace CBF by presenting a larger and more stable hysteresis curve, which is addressed to better energy dissipation. It is also discovered that reducing the frame height is suggested to enhance the CBF performance due to the earthquake.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keterampilan spiritual dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam di perguruan tinggi. Pendidikan Islam di tingkat perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter mahasiswa yang berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai spiritual. Oleh karena itu, evaluasi terhadap keterampilan spiritual mahasiswa menjadi hal yang esensial untuk memastikan tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dengan baik. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi lima kunci utama dalam pengembangan keterampilan spiritual, yaitu pemahaman agama yang mendalam, pengamalan ibadah yang konsisten, pengembangan akhlak mulia, penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan kemampuan untuk refleksi diri dalam konteks spiritual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi keterampilan spiritual dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam di perguruan tinggi memerlukan pendekatan yang holistik, melibatkan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif, serta penguatan peran dosen sebagai pembimbing spiritual. Evaluasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan yang lebih berorientasi pada pembentukan pribadi yang seimbang secara akademis dan spiritual.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of vibrations on the horizontal milling machine type 1216 during gear manufacturing using cutter modules with diameters of 50 mm and 55.25 mm, each at a cutting depth of 1 mm. Displacement, velocity, and acceleration measurements were conducted in vertical, horizontal, and axial directions using a VM-6370 vibration meter, with the average vibration amplitudes analyzed. The results revealed that the 55.25 mm cutter produced the highest vibration amplitude in the horizontal direction, reaching 353.270 mm/s², while the lowest was in the vertical direction at 171.293 mm/s². For the 50 mm cutter, the highest amplitude occurred in the vertical direction at 0.1336 mm and the lowest in the horizontal direction at 0.0583 mm. These findings demonstrate that larger cutter modules generate higher vibration amplitudes, significantly affecting the precision and surface quality of gear manufacturing. The study emphasizes the importance of selecting appropriate cutter sizes to minimize vibrations, optimize manufacturing processes, and improve product quality. By providing a detailed analysis of the relationship between cutter size and vibration levels, this research is a valuable reference for enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of gear cutting in industrial applications.

Abstract

Arus Globalisasi yang kini telah membawa pada zaman penggunaan serba teknologi, salah diantaranya ialah pendidikan. Kerapkali Siswa dapat lebih mudah memahami Pembelajaran Materi melalui penjelasan yang diajarkan oleh Teman sebayanya, Hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa bagian aspek salah satunya penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang disampaikan oleh Teman sebaya yang memiliki banyak kesamaan gaya belajar pada anak seusia mereka. Adanya Peningkatan Pengetahuan/Kognitif para siswa dalam belajar tentu dapat dipengaruhi dari implementasi Metode Pembelajaran, Media Pembelajaran, Konten Pembelajaran serta Evaluasi Pembelajaran. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini agar dapat menilai keefektifan implementasi Program Tutor Sebaya yang ada Pada SMAN 11 Kota Bekasi pada peningkatan pengetahuan Siswa tersebut, Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Quasi Eksperimen Kuantitatif, sehingga Hasil Penelitian dapat menampilkan perbedaan Antara Sebelum Menerapkan Program Tutor sebaya dan Setelah Menerapkan pada kegiatan Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pada industri minyak dan gas, sistem perpipaan merupakan komponen penting untuk mendukung proses transfortasi fluida seperti minyak mentah dan gas alam, namun dalam proses transfortasi sering kali membawa kotoran, debu, ataupun partikel padat lainnya. Fluida yang mengandung partikel padat dapat menyebabkan masalah serius dalam sistem perpipaan, oleh karena itu dibutuhkan strainer sebagai penyaring partikel padat tersebut. Meskipun strainer berfungsi sebagai penyaring, adanya strainer di jalur aliran dapat menimbulkan dampak terhadap karakteristik aliran fluida salah satunya adalah penurunan tekanan. Maka studi dinamika fluida menjadi penting dalam memahami fenomena aliran di sekitar strainer guna mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan simulasi numerik Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) dengan geometri strainer Dp=8 dan 6 inci, diameter lubang d=6 dan 4 mm, tipe lubang staggered dan straight, ketebalan s=2mm dan fluida uji gas metana. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan pada strainer Dp 8 inci (OAR=30,68%), tipe lubang staggered dengan q=81 menghasilkan DP paling kecil yaitu 169,80 Pa. Sedangkan DP terbesar terjadi pada strainer Dp 6 inci (OAR=19,59%, tipe lubang straight dengan q=830  yaitu 1734,06 Pa.

Abstract

Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) is a structural system that is advised to be built in seismically active areas since they are characterized by good stiffness and ductility. A large and stable hysteretic curve, which corresponds to good seismic performance, is produced by the combination of improved stiffness and ductility in EBF. The diagonal component of EBF, known as a brace, contributes to its stiffness. Meanwhile, the short beam, also known as the link element, provides ductility in EBF. One element that is essential as an energy dissipator in EBF is a link element. By displaying a sizable and steady hysteretic curve, a prior study found that EBF with a flexural link could effectively dissipate the seismic energy. But to achieve a higher EBF, the seismic performance still needs to be enhanced. An analysis of various EBF models in Inverted V configurations was conducted in this paper. Each model was prepared with different shear link characteristics. Installing web stiffeners in the link to improve its seismic performance was also taken into consideration in this study. To obtain seismic performance, the cyclic loads were employed to each model under conditions of yield displacement control. Analysis of the data resulted in the load-displacement hysteretic curve. Next, using the hysteretic curve, the three seismic performance parameters, i.e., strength, stiffness, and dissipation energy were further developed. The investigation showed that compared to earlier studies, the EBF with shear links showed a bigger and more stable hysteretic curve which means better dissipated energy. Additionally, adding web stiffeners significantly increases the EBF's seismic capability. Therefore, because of the improved seismic characteristics, it is advised to establish the EBF using a shear link reinforced by web stiffeners in an earthquake-hazard area.

Abstract

In the business world and capital markets, firm value is an important indicator that reflects the company's performance, prospects, and attractiveness in the eyes of investors. One factor that is believed to influence firm value is dividend policy, which is the management's decision to distribute profits to shareholders or retain them for the company's investment needs. In the world of investment and capital markets, dividend policy is one of the important factors that can influence investor perceptions of a company's value. This policy reflects. The method used in this study is secondary data through the financial statements of manufacturing companies that meet the sample criteria of 12 companies in a 5-year observation period. Data processing in the study using the eviews application with the selection of CEM, FEM, and REM models was carried out to determine the method that is appropriate for the research conducted, then the chow test, hausman test, and lagrange multipler test were used. From the results of data processing and analysis of the problems carried out, it can be concluded that the financial performance variable is unable to mediate the effect of dividend policy on firm value, this is because dividend policy acts as an external factor that directly influences firm value, without the need to go through a mechanism to improve financial performance. Dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on firm value. This shows that companies that consistently distribute dividends provide a positive signal to investors regarding financial stability and future profit prospects, while financial performance does not affect the value of the company. The implication of this finding suggests that in the context of the consumer goods industry, investor perceptions of firm value are more influenced by external signals such as dividend distribution, rather than by internal indicators such as ROA.

Abstract

Transportation of hydrocarbon gas in industry often carries contaminants such as scale, rust, and weld metal particles that can disrupt the flow and damage components such as compressors. Strainers are used to filter impurities before the fluid enters the main system. At high flow rates, strainers, especially perforated plates, are susceptible to structural damage. Because experimental tests are expensive and risky, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations are used. This study analyzes the effect of variations in methane gas flow rates on the strength of carbon steel strainers with plate thicknesses of 0.8 mm, 1 mm, and 2 mm. The tested velocities were 7.59 m/s, 9.59 m/s, and 11.59 m/s at a pressure of 10 bars and a temperature of 55?. The results showed the highest stress at the base of the strainer: 32,826 N/m2 (0.8 mm), 30,472 N/m2 (1 mm), and 21,975 N/m2 (2 mm). The maximum deformations occurred at the strainer tip: 2.35×10-8 m, 2.91×10-8 m, and 2.82×10-8 m. All values are below the yield strength limit of carbon steel (2.5×108–5×108 N/m2), indicating a safe design against high flow loads.

Abstract

Sistem Rangka Bresing Konsentrik (SRBK) adalah salah satu sistem struktur than gempa. Pada SRBK, bresing adalah komponen diagonal. Sebagai disipator energi, bresing akan mengalami gagal untuk mencegah kerusakan berat pada komponen SRBK yang lain seperti balok dan kolom. Sejauh ini, beberapa studi telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja bresing SRBK. seperti menambah luas penampang bresing. Namun, kajian terkait kinerja bresing ganda khususnya ketika bresing ganda dihubungkan dengan konfigurasi pelat penghubung yang berbeda masih terbatas. Studi ini mengkaji kinerja seismik bresing ganda yang dihubungkan dengan pelat kopel (BP) dan lacing (L). Bresing memiliki panjang yang berbeda yaitu 600, 1200, dan 1800 mm. Kajian eksperimental dilakukan dengan menerapkan beban siklik dengan kontrol perpindahan leleh. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa BL menyerap energi yang lebih baik dari BP yang ditunjukkan melalui kurva histerisis yang lebih besar. Sebaliknya, terdapat perbedaan yang dapat diabaikan dalam kekuatan dan kekakuan antara BP dan L yang berarti pelat penghubung memiliki dampak yang tidak signifikan untuk menambah kekuatan dan kekakuan bresing. Observasi pada panjang bresing menunjukkan BP dan L lebih efektif untuk diterapkan pada bresing pendek yang ditunjukkan melalui disipasi energi yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Peningkatan ekonomi pada mustahik merupakan salah satu tujuan pendistribusian zakat, dimana orang miskin (mustahik) tidak hanya mampu bertahan hidup dengan terpenuhinya kebutuhan dasar saja, tetapi juga harus mampu bekerja dan memenuhi kebutuhannya dan keluarganya secara mandiri. Kemandirian mustahik penting untuk memecahkan masalah ketimpangan, pengangguran dan kemiskinan dalam masyarakat. Hal ini hanya dapat tercapai jika kebijakan pendistribusian zakat mampu digunakan sebagai sarana pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat miskin (mustahik) yang akan meningkatkan kapasitas mereka dan memungkinkan mereka untuk berwirausaha sehingga mampu memenuhi kehidupan mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskritif analisis. Adapun sumber data primernya diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumen dari Baitul Mal Aceh (BMA), sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku dan tulisan-tulisan yang berkaitan dengan kajian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan data field research atau penelitian lapangan, dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Baitul Mal Aceh telah melakukan pengelolaan dan pendistribusian zakat yang sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku untuk memberdayakan mustahik. Baitul Mal Aceh telah juga melakukan berbagai pengawasan atau evaluasi terhadap pendistribusian zakat yang sudah berjalan dengan baik namun terdapat beberapa hal yang belum sejalan dengan yang diharapkan. Baitul Mal Aceh (BMA) lewat program pemberdayaan ekonomi mampu meningkatkan ekonomi atau kesejahteraan mustahik.
