Abstract

Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan faktor utama dalam membentuk individu yang terampil dan dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan perkembangan zaman. Manajemen kurikulum memiliki peran yang sangat krusial dalam memastikan efektivitas proses pembelajaran melalui perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi yang sistematis. Kurikulum yang dirancang dengan baik harus dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang berarti kepada siswa selain berkonsentrasi pada penyampaian pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen kurikulum sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan standar pendidikan. penelitian ini menggunakan metode dengan jenis studi pustaka dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai literatur, yang relevan dengan tema bahasan, kemudian dianalisis secara kritis untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu manajemen kurikulum yang baik sangat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Perencanaan kurikulum yang matang memungkinkan penyesuaian dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dan perkembangan zaman. Implementasi yang tepat memastikan ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran, sementara evaluasi berkelanjutan memberikan umpan balik untuk penyempurnaan kurikulum. Selain itu, pemanfaatan bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran yang sesuai membantu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan mendalam. Kesimpulannya, manajemen kurikulum yang terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara signifikan. Maka dari itu, suatu institusi pendidikan perlu menerapkan strategi yang sistematis dalam mengelola kurikulum agar pembelajaran berjalan optimal dan sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman.

Abstract

Learning Kitab Kuning is a characteristic of traditional Islamic boarding school education which has an important role in preserving the classical Islamic knowledge. However, in its implementation, especially at the ibtida' level, various obstacles are often found that hinder learning activities. This study aims to identify the problems faced in the yellow book reading method in Islamic Boarding Schools, especially at the ibtida' level, and to analyze the causal factors and their impact on the learning achievements of students. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that The results of the study show that there are 4 (four) dynamics of the Kitab Kuning reading method, including (1) low basic Arabic language competency of students and a linguistic system that contrasts with Indonesian; (2) low motivation to learn of students, (3) limited quantity of teacher, and (4) there is no standardization of standard Kitab Kuning learning methods, especially at the Ibtida' level. This study recommends the need for innovation in teaching methods that are more communicative and interactive from teacher, as well as full support from the Islamic boarding school institution to be able to answer the dynamics of the Kitab Kuning reading method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dinamika perkembanganyang ada di dunia pendidikan yaitu kurikulum madrasah di Indonesia, dimulai dari era pra-kemerdekaan hingga era reformasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka (library research). Analisis dilakukan dari berbagai macam literatur seperti perpres atau peraturan pemerintah, buku akademik, jurnal ilmiah, serta dokumen kebijakan yang relevan dengan pendidikan yang ada di madrasah. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum Indonesia merdeka, pendidikan agama Islam diselenggarakan melalui lembaga seperti masjid dan pesantren, yang mana terdapat jenjang pendidikan didalamnya seperti ibtidaiyyah, tsanawiyah, dan dayah sebagai cikal bakal jenjang aliyah. Setelah kemerdekaan, struktur bentuk kurikulum pendidikan madrasah mengalami pergeseran dari sistem mata pelajaran yang terpisah menjadi sistem yang terintegrasi. Perubahan ini ditandai dengan munculnya kurikulum berbasis konten serta pembaruan nomenklatur kurikulum, yang berkembang dari era SKB Tiga Menteri hingga era reformasi. Selain itu, diperkenalkan pula pendekatan pembelajaran baru seperti Cara Belajar Siswa Aktif (CBSA). Dalam upaya penguatan karakter peserta didik berlandaskan nilai-nilai Pancasila, kurikulum madrasah di tingkat RA, MI, MTs, MA, dan MAK diarahkan pada pengembangan struktur yang bersifat otonom, dengan penekanan pada pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler

Abstract

This research discusses the management strategy of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) based local curriculum at MA Ma'arif Pare as an effort to maintain the Islamic identity of students in the era of globalization. In the face of the challenges of globalization that impact local values and Islamic culture, Islamic educational institutions must be able to respond appropriately. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used in this research to explore in depth the application of the Aswaja curriculum in both intracurricular and extracurricular learning. The results show that Aswaja values such as tawasuth (moderate), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balance), and i'tidal (justice) are integrated into the learning process through routine religious activities, character strengthening, and cooperation with local religious leaders. This curriculum not only strengthens academic aspects, but also effectively instills religious and nationalistic characters in students. MA Ma'arif Pare can combine traditional Islamic values with national education policies and adapt them to the social context of the community. This demonstrates that Aswaja-based local curriculum management can serve as a strong foundation in preserving Islamic identity amidst global change.

Abstract

Character education in Indonesia, especially in the context of Islamic religious education (PAI), is becoming an increasingly pressing issue with the emergence of various immoral cases among students. This study aims to explore how PAI can play a role in shaping the Islamic character of students in Vocational High Schools (SMK), with a focus on gender dynamics at SMKN 1 and SMKN 2 Kediri City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design involving two vocational schools, aiming to explore how PAI education can contribute to the formation of gender-based student character. In this context, the importance of inclusive character education that is responsive to students' needs is the main focus. This discussion provides a clearer picture of the problems of Islamic education, especially in the formation of Islamic character through PAI learning in vocational schools. It is hoped that these findings can be the basis for further development in character education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of madrasah curriculum in Indonesia has undergone various transformations since the colonial period until now. The purpose of this research is to find out the development of madrasah curriculum in Indonesia. The research method used by researchers is library research. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the development of madrasah curriculum in Indonesia has undergone significant changes, especially after Indonesia's independence. The Indonesian government issued various policies to advance education in Indonesia, including Islamic religious education and madrasah. One of the policies issued is the integration between the general education curriculum and Islamic religious education in madrasas. The government can provide adequate financial support and experts for madrasah curriculum development. The community can support through active participation in educational activities, such as providing educational facilities and infrastructure. The industrial world can provide support in the form of internship programs and cooperation with madrasah to improve student skills. In the development of madrasah curriculum in Indonesia, there have been significant changes and developments since the establishment of Madrasah Aliyah in 1945. The currently implemented madrasah curriculum, the 2013 curriculum, has integrated general and religious education in a more balanced manner.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman yang selalu berubah dan pertumbuhan teknologi yang tidak pernah tetap dan tidak akan konstan selalu menjadi pendorong utama pengembangan kurikulum. Ketimpangan dalam desain kurikulum karena kurangnya respon terhadap perubahan sosial. Kurikulum yang diterapkan pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab pada saat ini dapat dikatakan lebih luas dan disebabkan oleh hal-hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam beberapa aspek dan semua faktor yang terkait. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui desain kurikulum, mengetahui desain kurikulum sebagai disiplin ilmu, mengetahui desain kurikulum yang berorientasi pada siswa, mengetahui desain kurikulum yang berorientasi pada masyarakat, dan mengetahui desain kurikulum yang bersifat teknologis Dalam penulisan artikel ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi literatur dan metode analisis istiqra'i. Desain kurikulum sebagai sebuah disiplin ilmu dapat dibagi menjadi tiga jenis, yaitu: Kurikulum Mata Pelajaran, Kurikulum dengan Mata Pelajaran yang Berkorelasi, Kurikulum Terpadu. Desain kurikulum yang berorientasi pada siswa didasarkan pada perspektif kehidupan anak di masyarakat dan didasarkan pada perspektif psikologis. Desain kurikulum yang berorientasi pada masyarakat didasarkan pada arah yang ingin dituju oleh sekolah, yaitu memenuhi apa yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dan hal ini menjadikan apa yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat harus menjadi dasar utama dalam menentukan isi kurikulum.

Abstract

Background. The digital era is the historical period characterized by the existence of digital technology, including communication and social interaction. The unrealized discoveries in the field of technology will also affect social change greatly, and will also have a very serious impact on education indirectly.Aim. This paper will elaborate how the theory of symbolic interaction and the theory of social change as a collaborative approach in carrying-out social research and solutions in dealing with the current digital era. the qualitative approach is used in this research with a critical-analytic method to a social case.Methods. Library research was conducted to analyze the theory of this social change as the data took from many kinds of literature that contained this theory.Results. Explained in this paper the theory of symbolic interaction initiated by George Herbert Mead and later completed by Herbert Blumer. This symbolic interaction theory has three main key concepts: mind, self, society where the symbols of attitudes, behavior, ways of speaking are seen in the interactions that take place. Meanwhile, the theory of social change initiated by Auguste Comte and Herbert Spencer is a theory about changes in the structure of society that can affect the patterns of social interaction and something that can build human character towards a better process or vice versa.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of religious education curricula in three educational settings in Indonesia: Islamic boarding schools, schools, and madrasahs. The curriculum is positioned as a strategic instrument in shaping students’ religious character and adaptive capacity in facing contemporary challenges. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature study to examine curriculum models, principles, and implementation strategies tailored to the characteristics of each institution. The findings indicate that Islamic boarding schools emphasize preserving classical Islamic scholarship, moral education, and spiritual formation. Schools integrate religious values into the national curriculum through modern pedagogical approaches, while madrasahs apply an integrated model that combines religious and general education with a greater focus on religious subjects. In addition, curriculum contextualization, digital integration, and the implementation of religious moderation values are identified as the main innovations and challenges. These results highlight that curriculum development in these three institutions significantly contributes to shaping a generation that is academically competent, morally grounded, and able to play a constructive role in society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the quality indicators of calligraphy within the implementation of the Hamidi Method, as well as to trace the spiritual dimensions embedded in the calligraphy learning process at SAKAL Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) in Jombang. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes how technical aspects—such as proportional accuracy (nisbah), consistency of letterforms, and artistic composition—are harmoniously integrated with spiritual values, making each stroke of calligraphy a form of devotion to the Divine Word (Kalamullah). The Hamidi Method is implemented progressively through the use of kurrasah (instructional booklets) and scholarly mentorship rooted in a chain of transmission (sanad), developing students'skills while instilling discipline and Islamic spirituality.The indicators of calligraphy quality in this context include five key aspects: proper use of tools and materials, technical precision, harmonious layout composition, fluency in writing, and artistic expression grounded in tradition. From Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s perspective on spirituality, calligraphy is not merely visual art but sacred art that fulfills four main functions: psychological-spiritual balance, reminder of Divine transcendence, reflection of collective religious consciousness, and a symbol of Islamic civilizational progress. The findings indicate that the Hamidi Method is not only effective for technical skill development but also serves as a transformative educational model that blends spirituality and culture, bridging classical Islamic values with contemporary relevance.
