Abstract

This study aims to identify user segmentations of a learning management system at Universitas Negeri Malang using two-step clustering method. Data is collected through an on-line survey which is linked onto the academic information systems. Total number of data are 10.594 responses. This study runs three clustering methods, two-step, k-means, and kohonen clustering, in order to identify the user segmentation. Two-step clustering methods performs better than the other two clustering methods (k-means and kohonen) based on silhouette clustering index. The number of cluster resulted from two-step clustering method are three clusters. The top three of most important factors in identifying the user segmentation are the benefit of the learning management usage in helping to access information, increasing the effectiveness of accomplishing assignments, and students satisfaction on the learning management system services.

Abstract

PT XYZ, an aluminum smelting industry with high temperatures, has faced many near misses and accidents. This study aims to improve risk evaluation by analyzing the effect of the implementation and understanding of HIRARC on work accidents through the work environment. Data were collected from 179 respondents in the production section using purposive sampling and analyzed using the structural equation modeling method. The research results show that the implementation of HIRARC has a significant effect on the work environment, while the understanding of HIRARC is not significant. HIRARC implementation also affects work accidents, while the understanding of HIRARC is not significant. The work environment also influences work accidents. HIRARC implementation has an indirect effect through the work environment as a mediating variable, while understanding HIRARC has no indirect effect through the work environment. The recommendations proposed include installing blowers or shady areas with drinking water stations, using PPE, developing easy-to-understand OSH regulations and procedures, as well as implementing regular training, monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) play a crucial role in urban environments, not only supporting nature conservation but also fostering social interaction and contributing to economic growth. City parks, as representations of GOS, can be enhanced through thematic development and place branding to improve user engagement and functional value. This study aims to analyze visitor perceptions of thematic parks by identifying high-frequency keywords extracted from user-generated reviews. Text mining techniques were employed using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Term Frequency-Relevance Frequency (TF-RF) methods, followed by text summarization using Cosine Similarity and Maximum Marginal Relevance (MMR). These methods effectively process large volumes of unstructured data to reveal meaningful insights. The analysis focused on three parks with the highest number of reviews: Alun-Alun Kota Malang (945 reviews), Taman Merjosari (552 reviews), and Alun-Alun Tugu (462 reviews). Keyword analysis showed prominent terms such as ‘tugu’, ‘olahraga’ (sports), and ‘anak’ (children) under both TF-IDF and TF-RF methods, with TF-RF emphasizing more context-specific vocabulary. Results indicate that Alun-Alun Tugu is perceived as a comfortable space near government offices featuring a lotus pond, Taman Merjosari is recognized for its sports facilities, and Alun-Alun Malang is identified as a child-friendly park with fountains. The study offers place branding recommendations by analyzing word associations in summarized user feedback. This study can contribute valuable insights for governments, architects, and urban designers in developing thematic parks that better reflect and accommodate user preferences.

Abstract

The Lean Manufacturing (LM) system has been increasingly used in many industrial applications, worldwide, in the last 3 decades. The LM system is based on sound philosophy and includes several tools and principles, which permit its usage in eliminating wastes and decreasing the production costs. Though the conventional LM is helpful, the new paradigm, i.e., Industry 4.0, has started challenging the system. The traditional LM system cannot analyse the complex issues present in the existing competitive market on its own. This is because the Industry 4.0 is based on data which is more diverse, complex and fast. In this review, the researchers have attempted to identify the solution for the current scenario. Literature survey showed that simulation was a relevant tool that could be used for addressing the complexity-based issues related to the new concept. Though the combination of the simulation and LM system helped in understanding the problems, there still existed a gap in the LM system with regards to the merging of the 2 technologies of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The massive increases in textual data from Twitter and text analytics simultaneously have driven organizations to obtain hidden insights to implement the proper marketing strategies for businesses. The vast information generated by Twitter enables most e-commerce businesses to utilize Twitter to implement social media marketing. One of those e-commerce businesses is Blibli Indonesia. Intense business competition has led them to perform marketing strategies to understand consumer tendencies. Focusing the marketing strategies on consumer preferences enables the increase of consumer interest in Blibli, which is in line with enhancing the opportunity to reach new consumers. This research aims to discover Twitter content based on k-means results to cluster the tweets of @bliblidotcom. The best cluster is determined with the elbow method by selecting the deepest curvature, three clusters. The result suggests that Twitter users like Park Seo Jun's content. Hence, Blibli can focus on that content as its business marketing strategy on the Twitter platform.
