Abstract

Latar belakang masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya perolehan hasil belajar, rendahnya kinerja belajar siswa, dan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Inovasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan jenis kualitatif. Adapun subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas VII di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama Provinsi Papua Selatan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes berupa evaluasi akhir siklus. Sementara, metode non tes dilakukan dengan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskripsi komparatif yaitu membandingkan hasil belajar prasiklus, siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan. Pada prasiklus nilai rata-rata kelas 58.5 dengan ketuntasan belajar 40 %, pada siklus 1 meningkat menjadi 72 dan 70 % dan pada siklus 2 menjadi 82 dengan ketuntasan 90%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar IPA siswa meingkat. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah dapat dijadikan tolak ukur pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni melalui penerapan metode pemberian tugas dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran matematika siswa kelas VI pada salah satu SD di provinsi Papua Selatan. Metode pemberian tugas merupakan suatu cara mengajar dengan kegiatan perencanaan antara siswa dan guru mengenai suatu pokok bahasan yang harus diselesaikan oleh siswa dalam waktu tertentu yang telah disepakati. Jenis penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang akan dilaksanakan minimal dalam dua siklus dimana terdapat tiga kali pertemuan dalam satu siklus dan terdapat tujuh jam pelajaran dalam satu pertemuan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru dan siswa kelas VI A. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahap kegiatan, yaitu prencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan pada penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah Jika sebanyak 90% siswa mampu mencapai hasil belajar sesuai KKM yang ditentukan yakni 70 dan jika hasil observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru menunjukkan nilai ≥ 90. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VI SD di salah satu sekolah di Merauke berhasil meningkat setelah menerapkan metode pemberian tugas. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi pada pemahaman bahwa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa khususnys kelas VI SD, salah satu solusinya bisa dengan menerapkan metode pemberian tugas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi peserta didik kurang begitu aktif dan minat terhadap penjelasan guru dalam mata pelajaran matematika membuat hasil belajar siswa belum maksimal dan masih banyak yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu, melalui Model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mata pelajaran matematika materi Statistik kelas VI. Desain penelitian ini merupakan PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI/C tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 19 orang. Dalam pelaksanaannya, penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model Kurt Lewin yang menyatakan bahwa dalam satu siklus terdiri dari empat langkah pokok yaitu: (1) perencanaan (planning), (2) aksi atau tindakan (acting), (3) observasi (observing), dan (4) refleksi (reflecting). Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada setiap siklus dimulai dari awal sampai akhir pembelajaran. Dalam pengumpulan data ini peneliti menggunakan beberapa teknik yaitu: observasi, dokumentasi, tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah sebesar 78% sedangkan pada siklus II hasil belajar siswa mencapai 94,7%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based  Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran Matematika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika siswa kelas VI SD. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) bisa menjadi solusi meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are crucial in the education era of Revolution 5.0, requiring teachers to incorporate these skills into their teaching. However, many teachers face challenges in fully implementing HOTS due to various internal and external factors. This qualitative descriptive study analyzes the strategies used by teachers at SD Inpres Polder in Merauke for implementing HOTS. The research involved 18 teachers and employed data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies of lesson plans and curricula. The results indicate that teachers employ several strategies to integrate HOTS, including designing learning activities and tasks oriented towards HOTS, providing feedback to develop thinking skills, and collaborating with students for complex problem-solving. Additionally, they use resources that stimulate reflective and critical thinking. However, teachers also encounter challenges such as limited time, curriculum adjustments, and diverse student backgrounds. In conclusion, while teachers at SD Inpres Polder have adopted various strategies to implement HOTS, they need further support to enhance these strategies. Collaborative efforts from schools, parents, and policymakers are essential to help teachers develop their professionalism and effectively apply HOTS in their teaching.

Abstract

Digitalization is an effort to save energy, funds and time as well as an effort to support the realization of the SDGs in the education sector. This research discusses approaches in maintaining a digitally literate environment as part of efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the field of quality education. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman data analysis. The results of the discussion show that maintaining a digitally literate environment is a strategic and essential step in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the digitally literate environmental education sector that not only increases individual capacity, but also contributes to inclusive and innovative and environmentally friendly growth. To maintain a digitally literate environment, a number of actions are needed, including digital transformation. This study recommends concrete steps to encourage equitable and sustainable digital transformation in various sectors of life, especially in the education sector.

Abstract

The learning process in higher education requires contextual textbooks that are relevant and able to meaningfully adapt to the characteristics of students. However, at Musamus University, most teaching materials still rely on general textbooks from outside sources, which insufficiently represent the realities of local education in Papua. This research aims to produce a contextual-based Introduction to Education textbook tailored to the needs of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Musamus University. The study employed a Research and Development method with a quantitative approach through a quasi-experimental design. The development process encompassed needs analysis, product design, expert validation, limited trials, revision, and large-scale trials. Validation results indicated an average score of 84.5%, categorised as very good, thereby deeming the product suitable for use. Furthermore, the practicality of the limited trial obtained a student response score of 84% and an activity observation score of 90%. Subsequently, the effectiveness results demonstrated an improvement in pre-test–post-test scores by 21.25 points with an effect size of 2.69. The conclusion affirmed that the contextual-based Introduction to Education textbook is feasible and effective for use by PGSD students at Musamus University. Additionally, students evaluated positively the aspects of clarity, design appeal, integration of local content, and usefulness of practice exercises. Therefore, it is recommended that the study programme adopt this textbook into the official curriculum to promote more contextual learning. Moreover, lecturers should receive specific training to optimise the utilisation of the textbook. Finally, further research may extend the application of the textbook to other study programmes in order to achieve more comprehensive results.

Abstract

The Development of "Ultimate" Learning Media (Thematic Multimedia) for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Padang Raharja. This research aims to develop and produce a learning media product, namely interactive learning multimedia that is feasible and practical for learning thematic theme 2 "Always Save Energy" sub-theme 1 "Energy Sources" for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Padang Raharja. This research is a research and development or usually called R&D which refers to the 4D development model with four steps or stages, namely the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage and the dissemination stage. However, the research on the development of "Ultimate" learning media (Thematic Multimedia) intended for grade IV Elementary School which the researcher created could not be continued until the fourth stage, namely dessimination and only reached the development stage. Researcher limited this research to only the development stage due to limited time and cost constraints. By going through these stages th e researcher developed this learning media so that it showed appropriate and practical value for use by fourth grade elementary school students.The results of this research show that the development of "Ultimate" learning media (Thematic Multimedia) is practical and suitable for use. This can be proven from the results of the recapitulation of assessments (validation) by material and media assessors (validators) which show an average score of 4.7 in the "Very Appropriate" category for each assessment (material and media). The results of the practicality test recapitulation by 35 class IV students obtained an average score of 4.56 in the "Very Good" category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Profesi Keguruan di Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Universitas Musamus Merauke. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Unmus yang mengambil mata kuliah Profesi Keguruan. Objek penelitian ini adalah partisipasi aktif mahasiswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan penelitian. Hasil observasi pembelajaran oleh dosen observer pada penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw penilaian dosen observer sebesar 96% kategori sangat aktif, penilaian mahasiswa sebesar 82,14% kategori sangat aktif. Sedangkan untuk pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh hasil penilaian observer sebesar 52% dengan kategori cukup aktif, dan hasil penilaian mahasiswa menunjukkan persentase sebesar 45,31% dengan kategori cukup aktif.

Abstract

The demonstration method is a very effective method, because it helps students to find answers with their own efforts based on facts or correct data by demonstrating both directly and through the use of teaching media that are in accordance with the material presented. Talking about the effectiveness of the demonstration method, the importance of this method can be seen from the way it is applied in learning, one of which is in mathematics learning. Learning mathematics is one of the learning that is often a scary thing for every student. Therefore, to overcome this, a method that suits students during learning is needed. Take this into account. So, the purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the demonstration method on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. This research is a classroom action study, where this research was carried out on grade II students at SD Negeri 2 Merauke for the 2022/2023 school year. In this study, 24 students were the subjects of the study. By applying two cycles with two meetings each in each cycle, the study also used tests and observations as research data. As a result, there was a very significant improvement in student learning outcomes starting from cycle I to cycle II. Therefore, it is expected that the role of teachers is to advance in the achievements achieved by students, so teachers must be more creative and innovative to create learning that is fun, easy to understand and able to increase student interest so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

This training activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers at SD Yapis 2 Merauke in preparing learning activity plans using innovative learning models. This activity started with the teachers of SD Yapis 2 Merauke regarding the complex models of innovative learning development. The training method is carried out using discussion techniques, question and answer, assignments and presentations. Training activities begin with a pretest to map the initial abilities of the training participants, and at the end of the activity a posttest is carried out to measure the success of the training activities carried out. An indicator of the success of this training is if participants obtain an average score of at least 75% in the good category. Based on the results of data processing from training activities, initial test information was obtained before training for 3 people or 20% with scores still in the poor category. including 7 teachers or 46.7% in the sufficient category and 5 teachers or 33.3% in the good category and 3 teachers or 20% in the poor category. After carrying out the training, final test data information was obtained for 1 person in the fair category or 7%, and 6 teachers in the good category or 40% and 8 teachers in the very good category or 53%. Based on the data, the final test results of the activity show that it has exceeded the specified success indicators. This means that the training carried out at SD Yapis 2 Merauke was declared successful and was able to improve teacher skills.
