Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this is to support the activities IBW Local Government Pacitan District in terms of democratic economic development prioritizing agro-industrial sector of medicinal plants. Therefore, IBW team Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University and National Institute of Technology in Malang proposed program IBW Tourism Village in the district of Medicinal Plants Nawangan, Pacitan. The final target of the program is the tourist village of medicinal plants by the development of integrated and sustainable agricultural systems are based on self-reliance and environmentally sound. Implementation of the program's first year IBW tourist village in the district of medicinal plants Nawangan Pacitan district is focused on the activities of "on-farm" and pewacanaan tourist village. That is, the focus of the program is directed to engineering cultivation of medicinal plants in the location-based organic farm aims to introduce fundamentally organic cultivation of medicinal plants. The conclusion of the implementation IBW tourist village of medicinal plants in the district Nawangan Pacitan, namely: (1) People in the location IBW tourist village of medicinal plants in the district Nawangan Pacitan, namely the village of Ferns New and Ngromo that are the focus of empowerment this program begin applying cultivation drug organically and conducting business in a simple processing of medicinal plants; (2) The medicinal plant processing business simply needs to be developed with the appropriate technology tools are planned for the next stage. Abstrak: Tujuan kegiatan IbW ini adalah menunjang Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Pacitan dalam hal pengembangan ekonomi kerakyatan yang memprioritaskan pada sector agroindustri tanaman obat. Oleh karena itu, Tim IbW Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi dan Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang mengusulkan program IbW Desa Wisata Tanaman Obat di Kecamatan Nawangan, Kabupaten Pacitan. Sasaran akhir dari program ini adalah desa wisata tanaman obat dengan pengembangan sistem pertanian terpadu dan berkelanjutan yang berbasis kemandirian dan berwawasan lingkungan. Pelaksanaan tahun pertama program IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan ini difokuskan pada kegiatan “on farm” dan pewacanaan desa wisata. Artinya, fokus program diarahkan untuk rekayasa budidaya tanaman obat di lokasi berbasis pertanian organik yang bertujuan mengenalkan secara mendasar budidaya tanaman obat organik. Kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan ini, yaitu : (1) Masyarakat di lokasi IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan, yaitu desa Pakis Baru dan Ngromo yang menjadi fokus pemberdayaan program ini mulai mengaplikasikan budidaya tanaman obat secara organik dan melaksanakan usaha pengolahan tanaman obat secara sederhana; (2) Usaha pengolahan tanaman obat secara sederhana tersebut perlu dikembangkan dengan adanya alat teknologi tepat guna yang direncanakan dilaksanakan pada tahapan berikutnya. Kata kunci : desa wisata, tanaman obat, kec nawangan, produksi produk olahan.

Abstract

Abstract: Journalism ethics play a very important role in press as a guideline for professional journalism.Journalism ethics thus can be understood and carried out by journalists. Complying the code of conduct agreed by the Press Council means that reporters understand in gathering, reporting and presenting a news. The purpose of this study was to determine the journalism ethiccodes and the factors that affect the implementation of the code in the Daily Newspapers Surya Malang. This research is a qualitative research. The informants of this research were the Head of Publishing and a journalist ofDaily Newspapers Surya Malang. The data collection technique was interview anddata analysis used was descriptive method, which described the results of the data obtained. The research proved that the implementation of the journalism ethic codes in the Daily Newspapers Surya Malang has followed the guidelines of the Constitution applied in Indonesia for journalists in providing news or information published. In the implementation of journalistic ethics in Indonesia, the reporters did not make a false news, defamation, sadistic and obscene. Factors of the journalism ethic codes implementation wasthe government policy and human rights to achieve protection from wrong news. According to the government's policy towards the implementation of the journalism ethic codes, a new must be accurate, balanced, factual to avoid detrimental things Keywords: Journalism Ethic Codes, Newspapers Abstrak : Kode etik jurnalistik memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam dunia pers dimana sebagai pedoman nilai-nilai profesi kewartawanan, sehingga kode etik jurnalistik wajib dipahami dan dilaksanakan oleh wartawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kode etik jurnalis dan faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan kode etik jurnalis dalam Surat Kabar Harian Surya Malang. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Informan penelitian yaitu Kepala Bagian Peneribit dan salah satu Wartawan Surat Kabar Harian Surya Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah wawancara. Metode analisa data yang di gunakan yaitu metode deskriptif, dimana mendeskripsikan hasil data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penerapan kode etik jurnalis dalam Surat Kabar Harian Surya Malang sesuai pedoman UUD yang diterapkan di Indonesia untuk wartawan agar memberi berita atau informasi yang dipublikasikan bisa di pertanggung jawabkan. Dalam penerapan kode etik jurnalistik di Indonesia maka wartawan tidak membuat berita bohong, fitnah, sadis, dan cabul. Faktor penerapan kode etik jurnalis yaitu faktor kebijakan pemerintah dan hak asasi manusia untuk mendapatkan perlindungan dari berita yang salah. Kebijakan pemerintah terhadap ketaatan penerapan kode etik jurnalis yaitu agar berita yang dipublikasinkan akurat, berimbang, sesuai fakta di lapangan untuk menghindari hal-hal yang dapat merugikan. Abstract

Abstract: In this study directly describe the patterns of leadership in a government institution in the city of Malang, in this case the Board of Family Planning and Community Empowerment (BKBPM) MalangResearch by the author is a type of qualitative research that places more emphasis on the quality of research results in the form of sentences statements, testimonies, and others. For data collection, the author conducted a number of ways or techniques of observation, documentation, and interviews with the respondents in the study. So to ease the authors, the interview process was conducted on the sidelines of a break. The results that the authors obtained after processing the data from the files of interviews with respondents, the authors concluded that the pattern of leadership is a way or activities to influence the behavior of others or the arts affect human behavior, both individuals and groups. And one thing that needs to be underlined is the pattern of leadership should not be limited by the rules or etiquette bureaucracy. Leadership can happen anywhere, as long as someone shows ability to influence the behavior of others towards the achievement of a specific goal. Some of the patterns found among other leadership: Negative and Positive Impact of Leadership Patterns in BKBPM Malang. The positive impacts include: service runs as expected, patterns of leadership goes well, Bottoms received instructions from the leader and done well. While the negative impacts are: Happiness, Perseverance, efficiency, courtesy in the service, and Norma applicable. Keywords: Patterns, Leadership. Abstrak: Pada penelitian ini secara langsung mendeskripsikan tentang pola kepemimpinan di suatu lembaga pemerintahan yang ada di Kota Malang, dalam hal ini yakni Badan Keluarga Berencana dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (BKBPM) Kota Malang. Penelitian yang penulis lakukan ini merupakan Jenis Penelitian Kualitatif yang lebih menekankan pada kualitas hasil penelitian dalam bentuk kalimat-kalimat pernyataan, keterangan-keterangan, dan lain-lain.Untuk pengambilan data, penulis melakukan beberapa cara atau teknik dengan melakukan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan responden di tempat penelitian. Sehingga untuk memudahkan penulis, proses wawancara pun dilakukan disela-sela waktu istirahat.Hasil penelitian yang penulis peroleh setelah melakukan pengolahan data dari berkas-berkas wawancara dengan responden, maka penulis berkesimpulan bahwa Pola kepemimpinan adalah suatu cara atau kegiatan untuk mempengaruhi perilaku orang lain atau seni mempengaruhi perilaku manusia baik perorangan maupun kelompok. faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas kepemimpinan di BKBPM Kota Malang antara lain : Persepsi yang tepat, tingkat kematangan, Penilaian yang tepat terhadap tugas, Latar belakang dan pengalaman, Harapan dan gaya pemimpin, Hubungan seprofesi, serta Para pemimpin saat ini menghadapi situasi yang sulit. Factor-faktor lain adalah : Kepribadian (personality), Harapan dan perilaku atasan, Karakteristik, harapan dan perilaku bawahan mempengaruhi terhadap apa pola kepemimpinan, Kebutuhan tugas, setiap tugas bawahan juga akan mempengaruhi pola kepemimpinan, Iklim dan kebijakan organisasi mempengaruhi harapan dan perilaku bawahan, serta Harapan dan perilaku rekan. Abstract

Abstrak: Pada masa sekarang Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) sangat penting bagi kelancaran setiap instansi atau organisasi pemerintah maupun swasta. Karena tanpa adanya sumber daya manusia didalam suatu organisasi maka tujuan visi dan misi suatu organisasi tidak akan berlangsung dengan baik. Oleh sebab itu sangat dibutuhkan suatu motivasi bagi setiap orang untuk mendorongnya bekerja dan demi terwujudnya kinerja yang baik maka sangat dibutuhkan yang namanya pemimpin dimana tugas pemimpin adalah sebagai kepala kantor atau instansi, pemimpin sekaligus sebagai motivasi untuk bawahanya agar terwujudnya suatu kinerja yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui angket dan dokumentasi dan dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan data untuk menarik kesimpulan. Dari penelitian yang dilaksanakan telah diperoleh suatu kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh yang paling signifikan dari motivasi kerja dan efektivitas kepemimpinan Camat terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Lowokwaru Malang dengan presentasi 23%,65%,65%,45%, sehingga dikatakan bahwa hipotesisnya terjawab semua. Ada pengaruh yang paling dominan antara motivasi kerja dan efektivitas kepemimpinan Camat terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Lowokwaru dengan presentasi 65% yaitu Efektivitas Kepemimpinan sehingga dikatakan bahwa hipotesisnya terjawab. Kata kunci : Motivasi Kerja, Efektivitas Kepemimpinan dan Kinerja Pegawai Abstract: Nowadays, human resource is very important for the smoothness of a government or private institution or organization. Because without the existence of human resource in an organization, the organization’s vision and mission will not run well. Therefore, it is strongly needed motivation for individual to encourage him/her to work and get a good performance so that it is needed a leader whose duties as a head of office or institution, and motivator for his/her employees in order to get a good performance. In this study the researcher used qualitative research method by using steps of data collection done through questionnaire and documentation, and continued by data analysis to draw a conclusion. From the study executed it is drawn a conclusion that there is significant effect from working motivation and leadership effectiveness of the subdistrict head to the employees’ performance at Subdistrict Office of Lowokwaru, Malang with presentation in successive are 23%, 65%, 65%, and 45%, so that it can answer the hypothesis. There is the most dominant between working motivation and leadership effectiveness of the subdistrict head to the employees’ performance at Subdistrict Office of Lowokwaru, Malang with presentation of 65% i.e. leadership effectiveness in the other words the hypothesis is answered. Abstract

As the oldest and biggest operator Telkom can not avoid the crisis especially trust crisis to its products and services. The aims of the research is how the Public Relations of Plasa Telkom Malang make strategy to handle complain and what are the resistance factors. This research used descriptive qualitative research method in collecting data by direct observation, documentation and in depth interview with the field informan. To measure the data validity used triangulation technique and data analysis used Miles and Huberman. The research result showed that the strategy used by Public Relations of Plasa Telkom in handling customers complaints are: 1) Quick in response the customers complains, which means not wasting time, 2) Increase the customer service/customer care and security officers services as each functions and responsibilites, 3) Provide Public Relations media such as TV, newspaper, tabloid. The resistance factors of Plasa Telkom Malang Public Relations in handling customer complaints are: 1) The less preparation of Plasa Telkom Malang Public Relations in communications, 2) The less cooperation and approach from the company to the certain media, 3) There is no complete identity from the customers.

Abstract

Political communication aspirational government officials will bring a harmonious relationship between government officials and the public, so as to improve public services better. Communication also makes good political government policy based on the aspirations of the community, and the community will participate in any policy made by the local government because they feel involved. This research was conducted in Malang by using quantitative methods with simple linear regression analysis. Determination of sampling using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis with SPSS to test the research hypothesis. The results of this study stated that the Political Communication and a significant positive effect on the Public Service.

Abstract

Presidential elections often are colored by propaganda and post-truth politics in its campaign to influence public opinion. This study aimed to identify the way and forms of propaganda and post-truth communicate political messages from the 2019 presidential election in Indonesia through political communication on social media. This research employed a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative data were obtained from Twitter with social network analysis (SNA) from December 2018 to March 2019. Meanwhile, the qualitative data were obtained from literature searches and expert interviews. The results of this analysis indicated that presidential candidate Jokowi was widely rumored to be a liar, claimant of success, weak leader, communist, pro-China, and anti-Islam. There were also many rumors that referred to presidential candidate Prabowo as a pro caliphate, human rights violator, person with a questionable religion, bad-tempered person, inexperienced leader, and hoax spreader. These negative issues constitute propaganda in the form of stories, rumors, and myths that were manipulated to influence public opinion on social media. Some parts of society believed them based on emotional belief instead of on rationally observed facts. We conclude that even when it involves many people in a big nation, propaganda can be manipulated to influence public opinion.Keywords: Propaganda, post-truth, social media, political communication, presidential election ABSTRAKPemilihan presiden sering kali diwarnai oleh propaganda dan politik pasca-kebenaran dalam kampanyenya untuk memengaruhi opini publik. Kami mempelajari kasus pemilihan presiden di Indonesia tahun 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana bentuk-bentuk propaganda dan post-truth mengkomunikasikan pesan politik melalui komunikasi politik di media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yaitu kombinasi metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari media sosial Twitter dengan analisis jejaring sosial (SNA) dari Desember 2018 hingga Maret 2019. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari penelusuran literatur dan wawancara ahli. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa capres Jokowi banyak diisukan sebagai pembohong, klaim keberhasilan, pemimpin lemah, komunis, pro-China, dan anti-Islam. Banyak rumor yang menyebut calon presiden Prabowo sebagai pro khilafah, pelanggar HAM, orang yang agamanya dipertanyakan, pemarah, pemimpin yang tidak berpengalaman, dan penyebar hoax. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa isu-isu negatif tersebut merupakan propaganda berupa cerita, rumor, dan mitos yang dimanipulasi untuk memengaruhi opini publik di media sosial. Sebagian masyarakat percaya bahwa propaganda ini sebagai kebenaran karena didasarkan pada keyakinan emosional, bukan fakta yang diamati secara rasional. Kami menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun melibatkan banyak orang di negara besar, propaganda dapat dimanipulasi untuk memengaruhi opini publik.Kata Kunci: Propaganda, post-truth, media sosial, komunikasi politik, pemilihan presiden

Abstract

Political memes colored the 2019 Indonesian presidential election campaign on social media. Political memes have become one of the propaganda strategies to influence public opinion to gain political support from the public before the presidential election. This study aims to analyze and understand political memes as a medium of political propaganda in the 2019 Indonesian presidential election. This study uses critical discourse analysis to uncover the meaning behind the text. The data collection technique uses documentation in the form of political memes of the two presidential candidates, both in images and political symbols scattered on social media in the January – March 2019 period. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using Fairclough's critical discourse analysis model to find out the meaning of the text. This study indicates that social media plays an essential role in political communication in the 2019 presidential election campaign. Social media is a cheap and fast means of spreading political memes that reach potential voters widely and massively. Through political memes, Joko Widodo often talks about having links with the Indonesian Communist Party. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto is often spoken of by his political opponents as a supporter of the caliphate in Indonesia. These political memes are used as political propaganda to construct or deconstruct political presidential candidates' discourse and build or damage the reputation of presidential candidates to influence public opinion.

Abstract

Humans become social creatures who develop complex communication behavior as a means of social interaction. The ability to communicate in humans basically involves a number of important aspects in humans, which develop gradually, starting from the most fundamental aspects, namely genetic aspects, to the highest aspects, namely aspects of nurture and learning. In addition, the ability to communicate in humans emerges and develops according to the level of development of the human brain. Simply put, human communication skills involve many important aspects which all complement one another. The loss of one aspect in shaping the communication process reduces the effectiveness of the communication process, leading to communication failures. This journal article uses the perspective of communibiology to examine a number of factors relating to the origin of the human ability to communicate to the implications surrounding the human ability to communicate. Thus, all parties involved in the communication process can maximize the communication process, by minimizing the emergence of factors that reduce the effectiveness of the communication process.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population and has an influence on developing culture, including the pattern of consumerism among the Indonesian Muslim community. Based on these conditions, companies that create halal certified products. Starting from products consumed directly or indirectly. Several products other than food and drinks in Indonesia that have halal certification include cosmetic products. This research aims to analyze the representation and construction of advertising for halal cosmetic products on social media, especially Instagram. This research uses a qualitative method with Roland Barthes' semiotic approach to examine the form of signs and signifiers. This research uses the perspective of Network Society theory (Jurgen Habermas) to analyze the forms of norms and lifewords in halal product advertisements. This research is based on media analysis so that the data collection technique is through advertisements obtained from Instagram. The research results show that representation in symbolic form in advertisements for cosmetic products with halal logos can be seen from the use of models, words and scenarios created by producers. The norms used are religious norms because the cosmetic products used by Muslim women are halal products. Meanwhile, lifeworld is the message the producers want to convey.AbstrakIndonesia sebagai negara dengan mayoritas penduduk muslim dan berpengaruh terhadap kultur yang berkembang, termasuk pola konsumerisme di kalangan masyarakat muslim Indonesia. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, perusahaan yang menciptakan produk bersertifikasi halal. Mulai dari produk yang dikonsumsi secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Beberapa produk selain makanan dan minuman di Indonesia yang telah memiliki sertifikasi halal diantaranya produk kosmetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis representasi dan konstruksi iklan pada produk kosmetik halal di media sosial, teutama Instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mengkaji bentuk tanda dan penanda. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif teori Masyarakat Jejaring (Jurgen Habermas) untuk menganalisis bentuk norma dan lifeword dalam iklan produk halal. Penelitian ini berbasis analisis media sehingga teknik pengumpulan data melalui iklan yang diperoleh dari Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi dalam bentuk simbolik pada iklan produk kosmetik dengan logo halal telihat dari penggunaan model, kata-kata serta skenario yang dibuat oleh produser. Norma yang digunakan adalah norma agama dikarenakan produk kosmetik yang digunakan wanita muslim adalah produk yang halal. Sedangkan lifeworld adalah pesan yang ingin disampaikan oleh produsen.
