Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan Strategi Heuristik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dan bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan Strategi heuristik Polya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen terhadap seluruh populasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Muara Bungo, sedangkan sampel dipilih dua kelas secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan skala sikap. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan Strategi Heuristik Polya lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran konvensional; (2) siswa bersikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan Strategi Heuristik Polya. Penulis menyarankan agar Strategi Heuristik Polya dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif bagi guru untuk melakukan proses belajar mengajar di kelas dan dilakukan penelitian sejenis untuk mengungkap kemampuan pemahaman dalam materi pelajaran matematika lainnya.

Abstract

Algebra is knowledge in education. The ability to think should be known so that it can be maximized in the learning process, one of which is the ability to think in algebra. In the process of working on various algebra problems, students carry out generational activities, transformation activities, and global meta-level activities. Learning algebra will be easy if combined with technology. One of the technologies that can support algebra learning is Geogebra. The research aims to determine how students' algebraic thinking abilities use the Geogebra application. The method in this research is qualitative, with a case study type. The research subjects were students taking calculus courses in the Informatics Engineering study program at a private campus in Jakarta. The research results show that the algebraic thinking ability levels consist of high, medium, and low. High algebraic thinking abilities have high generational, transformational, and global meta-level abilities, while moderate algebraic abilities have moderate generational abilities; transformational abilities tend to be medium to high, and global meta-level abilities tend to be medium to low. Low levels of algebraic thinking ability tend to have moderate to low generational abilities, low transformational abilities, and low global meta-level abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of SL using statistical literacy ability test questions integrated with Indonesian education issues through a quantitative descriptive research approach to 116 students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah University Muara Bungo. The results showed that students were still low in Statistical Literacy skills. These results can be seen from 75% of students who scored below 60 and 25% of students who scored above 60 on the Statistical Literacy ability test. Then, it can be seen from the average ability of students to solve SL test questions based on Indicators, namely 71.33% in indicator 1, 53.16% in indicator 2, and 57.18% in indicator 3. At the same time, the average student who is able to solve SL questions is 28.67% in indicator 1, 46.84% in indicator 2, and 42.82% in indicator 3. Based on in-depth interviews, researchers see the main factor in the low SL ability of students being that they have not mastered descriptive statistics. The main factor that helps students solve SL questions is the Indonesian Education Issue approach. Researcher suggest that further research needs to be done that can improve students' SL skills through the application of learning models, the development of learning models, or the application of learning strategies to solve SL problems.

Abstract

This study aims to look deeper into the definition of statistical literacy (SL) and learning challenges to improve SL, as SL has become essential for students to face the era of data disruption and quantitative information. Previous research has investigated the level of elementary to high school students. Not many still discuss the definition of SL in students in higher education and what challenges teachers need to prepare for in improving SL. The research questions of this study are as follows: 1) What is the distribution of SL definitions often used in higher education? 2) What challenges will be faced in improving SL? This study was a systematic review of 10 articles with inclusion criteria. The article search was assisted by Publish Or Perish (PoP) software by entering the keyword "SL" in the "title words" in the Scopus search and specifying the year “2018-2023”. The results of this study found that 1) The ability to comprehend, interpret, evaluate critically, communicate, describe, organize, generalize, hypothesize, and visualize statistical data and information is frequently emphasized as constituting SL.; 2) The challenge in improving SL is that educators can develop learning models with a contextual approach and the development of evaluation tools with a contextual approach. In future research, the author suggests that research can be conducted to develop learning models that can improve SL at the college level based on a contextual approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh observasi pada 4-5 Maret 2024 tentang pembelajaran passing bawah bola voli di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 89 Lubuk Niur, Kabupaten Bungo. Hasil observasi menunjukkan kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam menyampaikan materi teknik passing bawah bola voli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penyampaian materi tersebut dengan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi, melibatkan 1 kepala sekolah, 1 guru PJOK, dan 6 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis dengan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran didukung oleh fasilitas yang memadai, persiapan guru yang komprehensif, dan evaluasi melalui observasi serta ujian praktik. Namun, masih ada kendala yang perlu diatasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pentingnya peningkatan Statistical Literacy (SL) menjadi semakin nyata di tengah-tengah era informasi dan teknologi yang terus berkembang. Penelitian   ini bertujuan untuk melihat proses pengembangan e-modul statistik deskriptif berbasis problem based learning terintegrasi Isu Pendidikan Nasional untuk meningkatkan SL mahasiswa, dengan menerapkan metode penelitian berjenis Research and Development berdesign Plomp. Objek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo. Penelitian ini menghasilkan nilai kevalidan materi 93% berkategori sangat kuat, kevalidan media sebesar 96,65% berkategori sangat kuat, dan kevalidan Bahasa sebesar 94,40% berkategori sangat kuat. Selanjutnya  menghasilkan nilai kepraktisan sebesar 69,84% berkategori praktis dan menghasilkan nilai keefektifan dari hasil belajar mahasiswa sebesar 85,71% berkategori sangat baik. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan e-modul statistik deskriptif berbasis PBL terintegrasi isu pendidikan indonesia untuk meningkatkan SL dalam kategori sangat baik. Kemudian,  peneliti melihat ada gap yang membutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut terkait pengembangan e-modul statistik inferensial berbasis PBL terintegrasi Isu-isu dibidang lainya seperti lingkungan, kesehatan dan ekonomi dalam upaya meningkatkan SL mahasiswa.

Abstract

The dominance of the agricultural world in Karak Apung Village makes the women in the village have farming skills that are no less great than men, as a result in general only those skills can be highlighted for the women of Karak Apung villagers. Through this girls' school, she hopes to solve the village problem which is divided into three things, (1) the Skills Program; (2) Equality Program; and (3) Digital Reading Room Program. The method of treatment will be taken for one semester or 12 face-to-face meetings. The results of the girls' school, namely the women of Karak Apung Village, have been equipped with new competencies, namely Bridal Makeup, Tata Boga, Gymnastics Instructors, and the Village has a digital reading room corner equipped with wifi. This skill is evidenced by the existence of a legal competency certificate owned by the Woman of Karak Apung Village

Abstract

21st century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication, are the main demands in the modern world of education. However, Muhammadiyah teachers in Bungo Regency still face the challenges of the times in implementing learning approaches that support mastery of these skills. Observation results show that most teachers have limitations in mastering Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) and integrating technology into learning. Community service activities aim to improve teachers' understanding and skills in implementing Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) through intensive Workshop-based training. The method used in this community service activity applies the Community-Based Education approach, which involves teachers as active partners in the training process. This activity includes three main stages: situation analysis to identify teacher needs, implementation of practice-based workshops, and evaluation of the impact of training on improving teacher pedagogical competence. The workshop includes materials on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), project-based learning strategies (Project-Based Learning), and the use of technology in teaching. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the PK and TPACK concepts, as well as an increase in their skills in designing and implementing innovative learning methods. In addition, a teacher learning community was formed that supports reflection and continuous improvement of competencies. Thus, this community service activity provides solutions to the problems faced by partners and contributes to improving the quality of education in Muhammadiyah schools in Bungo Regency and invited participants who attended the workshop activities that have been implemented.

Abstract

General Background: Mathematics education is vital for developing students' critical and analytical thinking skills. Specific Background: However, traditional lecture-based instruction and lack of engaging media have resulted in low participation and poor learning outcomes, especially in topics like fractions. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies have evaluated the Course Review Horay model and concrete media separately, but few have investigated their integrated use in elementary settings. Aims: This study aimed to improve the learning process and outcomes of fourth-grade students on fractions through the integration of the Course Review Horay model with fraction puzzle media. Results: Conducted as a Classroom Action Research in two cycles with 16 students, the intervention led to a significant increase in active participation (from 12.5% to 62.5% categorized as “Very Good”) and mastery learning (from 60% to 81.25%), supported by a statistically significant t-test result (p = 0.032 < 0.05). Novelty: The combination of a collaborative, gamified model with tactile media offers a novel and engaging method for teaching abstract concepts. Implications: This integrated approach supports 21st-century learning goals and is a practical strategy for enhancing both engagement and achievement in primary mathematics education.Highlight : Model Course Review Horay's fraction puzzle helps increase student engagement and learning outcomes. Student engagement in the “Very Good” category rose from 0% to 62.5%. The average student score increased from 70.94 to 75.63 with a completion rate of 81.25%. Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya proses dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV SDN 31/VI Rantau Panjang pada mata pelajaran IPAS, yang ditandai dengan rendahnya ketuntasan belajar dan kurangnya partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 peserta didik kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan belajar mencapai 77,27%, dan meningkat menjadi 90,91% pada siklus II. Aktivitas peserta didik juga meningkat secara signifikan berdasarkan hasil observasi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar IPAS. Prospek penerapan model ini di masa mendatang adalah untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik di berbagai mata pelajaran di sekolah dasar.
