Abstract

Buduan Village, located in Suboh District, Situbondo Regency, East Java, is developing by continuously keeping up with the times so that rice fields are turned into buildings and structures. Buduan Village people's awareness of the environment still needs to grow, even though green open land is decreasing. Urban farming is introduced to the community to care for the environment and provide knowledge regarding several ways to grow crops on increasingly narrow land. Hydrogel is a planting medium in urban farming techniques that is easy to introduce to the public to increase interest in planting. The IPB Vocational School Homecoming Lecturer Team provided urban farming training using a planting system using hydrogel to the people of Buduan Suboh Village. This training activity aims to increase people's interest in planting. The training was carried out by providing urban farming material and continued with direct planting practice using hydrogel planting media. The Buduan Village Community attended this training from the Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) group and the Azzaidah recitation group; a total of 33 participants took part in the training. The results of this training provide knowledge about urban farming to the people of Buduan Suboh Village and the urban farming system. Planting using hydrogel media is implemented by the community in their respective home areas as an initial initiation into caring for the environment.

Abstract

This study examined the enhancement of English communication skills among adults working in Mulyaharja’s Tourism Village, with the aim of empowering the community through improved language proficiency. Adopting Beeton’s Active Community Tourism Development Model, which emphasizes empowering local communities through active participation, the study involved 18 adult participants and four English instructors from the College of Vocational Studies of IPB University. Using a combination of questionnaires and a pre-test/post-test design, the research assessed participants’ language skills and perceptions before and after the training. The findings revealed a significant improvement in post-test scores, with an average increase of 50%, indicating the program’s effectiveness in fostering language skills. Participants reported high satisfaction rates, with 82% recognizing the relevance of the training to their professional and personal lives. These outcomes underscore the role of English proficiency in enhancing interactions with foreign tourists and supporting community development. Feedback also highlighted high motivation levels, as participants valued the training’s applicability to their roles, while observational notes captured challenges faced, offering insights into areas for future training improvements. The research highlights the potential of targeted English training in rural tourism contexts to strengthen community empowerment and communication skills, suggesting that future programs could benefit from extended courses and follow-up sessions to consolidate learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of KG Media's Public Relations in optimising internal information dissemination through digital communication strategies implemented on the Instagram account @dailyatkgmedia. In addition, this study was conducted to improve on previous research that did not use SWOT analysis to optimise KG Media's internal information dissemination. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and active participation of the author during an internship at KG Media. The analysis focuses on how digital communication strategies are used to optimise the dissemination of KG Media's internal information, strengthen internal communication, increase employee engagement, and build organisational identity and culture. The SWOT analysis approach used in this study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect the effectiveness of KG Media's internal communication strategies. The results of the study show that the main strength of KG Media's Public Relations lies in its ability to utilise digital platforms, produce informative and emotionally valuable content, and keep up with digital trends.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Wisata Saung Eling, Kelurahan Mulyaharja, Kota Bogor, dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan digital masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk pembuatan caption media sosial. Saung Eling sebagai destinasi wisata berbasis komunitas memiliki potensi besar dalam promosi digital, namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam konsistensi narasi dan kreativitas konten. Melalui pelatihan ini, peserta diperkenalkan pada konsep dasar AI, teknik membuat prompt yang efektif, dan praktik menggunakan aplikasi seperti ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva AI, dan CapCut AI. Peserta belajar menulis caption dengan pendekatan storytelling, engagement, dan penggunaan hashtag yang relevan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam membuat caption yang menarik, informatif, dan sesuai dengan karakter wisata lokal. Kegiatan ini menjadi bentuk kontribusi nyata Program Studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media dalam penguatan literasi digital masyarakat menuju promosi pariwisata yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study thoroughly analyzes the implementation of creative strategies carried out by PT. Highend Multimedia Indonesia to maintain its brand image. The main focus is on the use of exclusivity and authority as pillars of branding. This research uses mix methods, in which researchers were actively involved during a four-month internship. The results show that the writing strategy based on Positioning Theory proved to be very effective in increasing reader engagement. This success was validated by the achievement of an article titled “When $1,000 Bag Charms Become the Latest Small Luxury in the Retail World”. The article broke into the Top 3 Viewa in terms of views in August 2025, strongly reinforcing the brand's position as a credible and authoritative source of information in its industry. The main conclusion of this study is that consistency in positioning is an absolute strategic key. To maintain and enhance this authority, investing in premium research tools is highly recommended. This consistency and research support will ensure PT. Highend Multimedia Indonesia continues to excel in its exclusive narrative.
