Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of dividend policies and profitability on stock prices in non-cyclical consumer companies during 2018-2022. A panel data analysis method is employed to link variables such as dividend capacity, dividend payout, dividend per share, return on assets, return on equity, capital structure, and firm size to changes in stock prices. The research findings reveal that dividend capacity and firm size have a significant negative impact on stock prices, while dividend per share, return on assets, and capital structure have a significant positive impact. Dividend payout and return on equity do not have a significant influence on stock prices. These findings offer insights into the factors affecting stock prices in this industry, provide guidance for companies in designing dividend policies and profitability strategies, and offer valuable information to investors for decision-making.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of ownership structure, board size, proportion of independent directors, funding decisions, company size, and dividend policy on the performance of consumer goods manufacturing companies. Purposive sampling was employed for data collection. Results indicate that ownership structure and board size positively and significantly influence company performance, as measured by Tobin's Q and ROA. However, the proportion of independent directors, funding decisions, company size, and dividend policy do not exhibit significant effects. Consequently, effective management of ownership structure and board size is crucial for enhancing company performance in the consumer goods manufacturing sector. These findings provide valuable insights for companies to improve their performance and corporate governance practices, fostering stability and sustainability in alignment with economic trends.

In this study the independent variables used are bank size, lending scale, credit risk, equity capital, loan to deposit ratio, management efficiency and inflation rate. The dependent variable in this study is NIM. The number of samples used was 37 conventional banks which were taken using purposive sampling method. By using multiple regression analysis with the General Least Square (GLS) approach method. The results of this study indicate that the bank size, credit risk, equity capital, loan to deposit ratio, management efficiency and inflation rate have an effect on NIM, while the lending scale has no effect on NIM. The results of this study are expected to be used by future researchers, bank managers, and investors in determining the factors that can affect the NIM at the Bank.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/jkdp.v25i1.5102

Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial risks, including capital risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk, in relation to financial performance, measured by Return on Assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). The study also includes bank size as a control variable in assessing financial performance. The research employs purposive sampling to select samples, focusing on conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over a five-year period from 2019 to 2023. Data were collected from 33 banks and analyzed using descriptive statistiks and a fixed effects model for hypothesis testing. Data analysis was conducted through panel data regression analysis using E-views 9.0. The findings of this study indicate that capital risk does not impact financial performance, liquidity risk has no effect on financial performance, operational risk has a significant negative effect on financial performance, and bank size does not influence financial performance. Based on this research, it is recommended that banks thoroughly evaluate operational risks. Future researchers are encouraged to include additional independent variables and extend the sample period for more accurate results.
