Abstract

Although SMAN 1 Mengwi is recognized as one of the top high schools in Badung Regency, challenges persist in the development of Learning Outcomes (CP), Learning Objectives (TP), Learning Objectives Flow (ATP), and the integration of the Merdeka Belajar Digital Module with local wisdom. A community service program addressed these gaps and enhanced teachers' knowledge and skills in these critical areas. 38 teachers from SMAN 1 Mengwi participated in this socialization and training initiative, which adopted a structured approach encompassing initial observation, program design, implementation, and evaluation, guided by the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method. The program revealed that while teachers possessed foundational knowledge of module structures and were aware of local wisdom within their subject areas, they encountered difficulties applying this understanding to preparing CP, TP, and ATP components. Pre-test and post-test assessments significantly improved teachers' comprehension and capability to prepare CP, TP, ATP, and integrate local wisdom into digital modules. Notably, teachers' understanding level regarding CP, TP, and ATP reached 87.41%, while the overall success rate of the socialization and training program participation achieved 100%. These outcomes underscore the program's effectiveness in significantly enhancing teacher competence, ultimately contributing to the advancement of educational practices at SMAN 1 Mengwi and reinforcing the integration of local genius within the framework of modern pedagogy.

Abstract

Meskipun teknologi pembelajaran dan Artificial Inteligent (AI) memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran dan evaluasi, banyak guru masih mengalami keterbatasan dalam penguasaan teknologi ini. Tantangan ini tidak hanya terkait dengan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga melibatkan kemampuan pedagogis untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dengan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut Program PkM bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan AI EducationCopilot untuk analisis evaluasi siswa dan mendukung pengembangan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. rogram ini melibatkan pelatihan workshop, sesi praktik langsung, pendampingan teknis, serta diskusi dan refleksi. Pelatihan memberikan dasar penggunaan AI, sementara sesi praktik dan pendampingan membantu guru mengatasi kendala teknis dan menerapkan teknologi dalam kelas. Program ini melibatkan pelatihan workshop, sesi praktik langsung, pendampingan teknis, serta diskusi dan refleksi. Pelatihan memberikan dasar penggunaan AI, sementara sesi praktik dan pendampingan membantu guru mengatasi kendala teknis dan menerapkan teknologi dalam kelas. Pelatihan dan pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan AI. AI terbukti efektif dalam memberikan umpan balik dan mendukung evaluasi berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam merupakan pendekatan kurikulum baru dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia, oleh karena itu guru-guru masih mengalami kesulitan untuk mengintegrasikan pendekatan tersebut ke dalam bahan ajar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, permasalahan serupa terjadi di SMK Kesehatan Bali Medika Denpasar dimana guru-guru kesulitan merancang kurikulum dan bahan ajar pembelajaran mendalam. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan dan mengembangkan kemampuan guru-guru dalam merancang bahan ajar dengan pendekatan deep learning. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan PAR (Participatory Action Research), dengan melibatkan 15 guru dalam kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan dilibatkan dalam mengisi instrumen pre test-dan post test pembelajaran mendalam. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru secara signifikan mengenai cara menyusun bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam (p=0.000). Pelatihan dan pengembangan bahan ajar spesifik berbasis problem-based learning dengan pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam sangat diharapkan kedepannya, mengingat karakter pendidikan vokasi yang mengedepankan pemecahan masalah real atau ill structured problem

Abstract

There is an urgent need to improve and strengthen critical thinking skills among students. This study aims to analyze STEM learning: the key to developing critical thinking in students. This secondary study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were collected using the Prisma model from 2014 to 2024, in the form of published articles on STEM and critical thinking indexed by Sinta (1 and 2) and/or Scopus. The data were analyzed qualitatively, showing that STEM research on critical thinking began to receive academic attention in 2018, with a peak of publications in 2023. Since 2018, publications in reputable journals such as Scopus and SINTA have experienced a surge, especially in the SINTA 2 and Scopus Q2/Q4 categories. STEM is most widely applied at the high school and tertiary levels, showing that 83.33% of students experienced an increase in critical thinking after implementing STEM, with the highest effectiveness in the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The implications of this research confirm that STEM education plays a significant role in improving critical thinking skills, and predictions of future research trends will focus on exploring more specific and innovative approaches to optimizing STEM implementation in education.

Abstract

Tujuan workshop ini adalah merancang dan mengimplementasikan desain pembelajaran STEM yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi deep learning di SMK Kesehatan Bali Medika Denpasar. Latar belakang kegiatan ini didasari oleh dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional yang belum optimal dalam mendukung pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan abad 21. Melalui pendekatan berbasis kebutuhan, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap: analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan program, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta merespons positif terhadap lima indikator utama, termasuk peningkatan aktivitas belajar, pemahaman teknologi, dan efektivitas klasifikasi data. Diskusi reflektif mengungkap tantangan seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan koneksi internet, namun tidak mengurangi antusiasme peserta dalam mengadopsi pendekatan baru. Temuan ini diperkuat oleh berbagai studi sebelumnya yang menegaskan efektivitas integrasi STEM dan AI dalam pendidikan vokasi. Hasil workshop ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis teknologi, pelatihan lanjutan bagi guru, serta penguatan infrastruktur digital untuk mendukung transformasi pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Salah satu pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang layak digunakan adalah ‘Photovoice’. Photovoice adalah pembelajaran menggunakan foto yang mampu bercerita tentang apa yang tertangkap pada layer kamera. Hasil observasi dengan Wakasek Kurikulum SMA Negeri 1 Mengwi, didapatkan bahwa ada beberapa masalah yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi selama ini yaitu : a) guru memiliki kesulitan untuk mengajarkan pembelajaran kontekstual yang berbasis teknologi, 2) Siswa mengalami kesulitan ketika mengkaitkan materi biologi dengan lingkungan kontekstualnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut pihak kampus akan memberikan solusi terkait upaya untuk memberikan workshop pelatihan teknik photovoice sebagai salah satu bentuk mobile based learning dalam pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 1 Mengwi. Metode dalam kegiatan ini adalah observasi, sosialisasi, dan workshop. Adapun hasil kegiatan ini partisipasi aktif seluruh peserta, termasuk peserta pengabdian dan penerima manfaat, terlibat secara aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan. Adanya dampak positif yang tercipta dari kegiatan ini yang meliputi pengembaangan kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, siswa mampu mengatikan etnosains dan sains modern melalui penggunaan teknik photovoice, pemberdayaan individu dan komunitas.

Abstract

The increase of learning attainments always pursued through processes of reflection, evaluation, and refinement. Refinement of learning is conducted based on challenges occured since learning taken place. Present study is conducted to analyse variety of problems in the processes of biology learning at senior high school through systematic literature reviews to national and international accredited journals by performing PRISMA approach (Preffered Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis). Researchers select published articles from year 2018 to 2021 by using keywords “problems of biology learning”, “obstacles of biology learning”, and “biology learning obstacles in high school” by exploring google scholar, ERIC and springer. Exclusion and inclusion criteria resulted in 10 from 535 articles. This study contributes as guidance for teachers, researchers, and policy makers since they need scientific information regarding problems of biology learning at senior high school level as a basis for formulating strategies of creative, effective, and innovative pedagogies. Abstract

This study introduces and evaluates a generative STEM education model grounded in the Subak landscape of Bali, designed to integrate Indigenous ecological knowledge with contemporary science learning frameworks. The model draws on the principles of generative justice-defined as value circulation within communities-and entropic modulation-a concept referring to balancing variation and structure for resilience. Culturally Situated Design Tools (CSDTs), which are simulation-based tools for visualizing ecological processes, were employed to model sustainable farming practices in Subak, focusing on intermittent irrigation data that connects water surface levels, drying periods, drying duration, and timing with changes in temperature, methane emissions, and rice yield. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining design-based research, participatory action research, classroom observations, focus groups, and pre/post assessments. Preliminary findings indicate a 27% improvement in students’ conceptual understanding, particularly regarding Subak water management, greenhouse gas emissions, and the relationships between irrigation practices, environmental conditions, and rice production. These findings demonstrate that the Subak-based generative STEM model not only enhances student engagement, systems thinking, and ecological literacy but also offers concrete evidence for developing a culturally grounded framework for decolonizing STEM education.

Abstract

Subak, Bali’s traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) system rooted in Tri Hita Karana, integrates water management, spiritual practice, and communal governance. This study investigates how Singaporean university students engaged with Subak during a cross-cultural, place-based learning program. Through immersive field visits to Subak Pulagan, located about 30 kilometers northeast of Denpasar, students produced drawings and narratives to interpret ecological, cosmological, and social relationships. Using phenomenographic inquiry combined with thematic and factor analysis, six themes were identified: sacred water, spiritual ecology, collective governance, temple networks, sustainability threats, and symbolic meaning. Findings show that students perceived Subak as a dynamic socio-ecological system and demonstrated ethical awareness and intercultural understanding. Framed by Critical Pedagogy of Place, their creative expressions revealed processes of reinhabitation and decolonization. The study underscores the value of arts-based, culturally grounded learning for deepening engagement with Indigenous ecological knowledge in Bali.
