Abstract

Telah dilakukan identifikasi keberadaan tumor otak pada citra Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) menggunakan metode convolutional neural network (CNN). Proses identifikasi dimulai dari preprocessing citra, yang dilanjutkan dengan CNN arsitektur NasNetMobile. Pada tahap preprocessing, citra dipotong dan disesuaikan ukurannya agar seragam. Proses grayscaling citra kemudian dilakukan sebagai masukan bagi proses ekualisasi histogram. Noise pada citra hasil ekualisasi direduksi menggunakan metode wiener filter dengan nilai K 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, dan 1. Deteksi tepi menggunakan operator sobel dilakukan pada citra biner yang telah difilter tersebut. Citra hasil pengolahan kemudian digunakan pada proses Identifikasi tumor otak menggunakan CNN arsitektur NasNetMobile. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa akurasi tertinggi (95,6%) diperoleh pada model dengan nilai K = 0.4. Tahap preprocessing citra sangat menentukan keakuratan proses identifikasi.

Abstract

Tayan Hilir District, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, is characterized by the presence of economically valuable mineral resources, particularly bauxite deposits. This study aims to delineate the distribution of bauxite deposits in Sebemban Village, Tayan Hilir District, using integrated geophysical approaches. The investigation employed the induced polarization (IP) and electrical resistivity methods with a dipole–dipole electrode configuration. Resistivity and chargeability measurements were conducted along three survey lines, each 156 m in length with an electrode spacing of 4 m. The results show that the resistivity values range from 45.36 to 367.177 Ω·m, while the chargeability values vary between 16.9 and 878.80 ms. The subsurface stratigraphy of the study area comprises latosol, bauxite, saprolite, and bedrock units, including granodiorite and quartz diorite. Bauxite mineralization was identified at shallow depths, commencing at approximately 0.6 m below the ground surface. These results indicate that the combined application of resistivity and induced polarization methods is effective for identifying and characterizing near-surface bauxite deposits in the study area.

Abstract

We conducted a molecular dynamics study on CO2 hydrate within the ice XVII structure to examine the molecular diffusion of CO2 molecules, as it is essential to the hydrate potential as a carbon capture. The simulated CO2 hydrate system used 324 water molecules and 90 CO2 molecules. We used the TIP4P/Ice model for water molecules, and the CO2 molecules were treated as united atom. The simulations were carried out at 273,15 K under various pressures of 200 MPa, 500 MPa, and 1000 MPa for 1,50 ns, with a step size of 1 fs. The results showed that the CO2 molecules were confined and freely moved inside the cage-like chiral tube along the c-axis of the ice XVII structure. No significant inter-cage hopping was observed during the evolution of all simulated systems. The diffusion coefficient values for CO2 molecules within the ice XVII structure were 5.03 × 10-8 cm2s-1, 2.45 × 10-8 cm2s-1, and 8.86 × 10-8 cm2s-1  for the respective pressure variations of 200 MPa, 500 MPa, and 1000 MPa, resulting in an inverse proportional with the system's pressure. A higher diffusion coefficient facilitates a faster the mass transfer and adsorption rate of CO2 in formation build up of the CO2 hydrate system.

Abstract

Kompetensi guru merupakan keandalan yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dan memenuhi apa yang menjadi kebutuhannya. Peningkatan kompetensi wajib dilakukan oleh seorang guru sehingga guru dapat beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang ada, baik perubahan peraturan, teknologi, maupun kondisi sosial, selain itu karena mengingat peran guru yang menjadi agent of change. Salah satu peningkatan kompetensi yang harus dipenuhi oleh seorang guru adalah pengembangan diri dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah yang bersumber dari penelitian, dan kemudian dipublikasikan sehingga dapat memberikan manfaat. Banyak manfaat yang dapat diterima oleh seorang guru atas publikasi yang dibuat seperti keberlanjutan profesi guru dalam jenjang karir, sebagai inspirasi bagi guru-guru lain dan contoh baik bagi peserta didik. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Tanjungpura dilakukan untuk memberikan insight positif dan tambahan pengetahuan bagi guru-guru SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat. PKM yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang sebelumnya menjadi kendala bagi sekelompok guru tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang. Terdapat tiga sesi dalam PKM ini pertama yaitu penyampaian materi tentang teknik penelusuran literatur, kedua teknik penulisan sitasi dan daftar pustaka, dan terakhir teknik mengindari plagiasi. Secara keseluruhan PKM yang dilakukan oleh FMIPA Universitas Tanjungpura berjalan dengan lancar, dibuktikan dengan antusiasme peserta PKM melalui tanya jawab dan menghadiri kegiatan PKM secara sempurna.

Abstract

The pandemic of COVID-19 has triggered awareness of the significant role of distance learning systems. Implementing science experiments, involving observation and measurement, requires more complex steps when conducted remotely online. An innovative method that can be used to address this issue is the combination of experimental demonstrations and video analysis. This article reports a training activity for the design and implementation of physics experiments using the video analysis software, Tracker, to improve the competence of physics teachers in conducting experiments through distance learning systems. The training was conducted through tutorials, demonstrations, practice sessions, work instructions, and online discussions. The impact of the training was measured by evaluating pre- and post-training questionnaires. The results indicate that the training can enhance participants' insights and competencies. This training provides an alternative solution for conducting laboratory experiments during face-to-face learning activity restrictions.

Abstract

In this study, we fabricate TiO2-PP catalyst and analyze its use for peat water photodegradation. The photocatalyst is a thin layer of TiO2 deposited on the surface of polypropylene (PP) grains by the thermal milling method. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) images indicate that the fabrication successfully deposited TiO2 particles on the PP grain surface homogeneously well. The results show that photocatalysis of peat water using TiO2-PP with solar irradiation is more effective than the UV lamp. After photocatalysis for 40 hours with solar irradiation, the humic acid content in peat water decreases significantly, accompanied by a decrease in Fe concentration. When being reused, TiO2-PP photocatalyst shows performance above 92% in the fourth iteration, while in the fifth iteration, the performance decreases to 83%. These results show that TiO2-PP has the potential to be applied as a reusable floating photocatalyst to reduce the humic acid and iron content in peat water.
