Abstract

Fires are disasters that can occur in industries, public facilities, and schools. Fires in schools are an aspect that is often overlooked for assessment, prevention, and control. This service method was carried out through activities to socialize the dangers of fire, the components of fire extinguishers, and the use of fire extinguishers to 8 teachers and 21 students. As a form of evaluation, a pretest and post-test were conducted for this activity. The results of the post-test and pre-test evaluations showed a significant difference in scores before and after the socialization activities were conducted. The analysis of each question revealed that the highest percentage of correct answers was related to the danger of electricity as a cause of fires, while the question about the steps for using an APAR received the lowest percentage of correct answers. The community service activities went well, and both teachers and students understood the outreach activities that had been conducted. It is necessary to conduct regular outreach activities on the use of fire extinguishers and open flames, establish safe muster points, and carry out evacuation simulation activities in the next community service activities.

Abstract

Introduction: PT. XYZ is a logistics service company located at the Tanjung Priok port that carries out loading and unloading activities to support the operations of oil and gas companies. The achievement of leading indicators has been good. However, accidents still happen even though they are not as fatality accidents. This study aims to assess the maturity level of the Safety Culture at PT. XYZ and designing the right OHS program so that it is expected that the OSH program can reduce the number of lost time injuries in the company. Methods: This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional study design, and primary data was taken through interviews, field observations, and secondary data through company records. The author uses an interview guide from Industrial Safety Culture Evaluation Tools and Guidance for primary, key, and supporting informants. The main informants comprised five management representatives from supervisor to assistant manager level and five employee representatives. Results: PT. XYZ is a calculative level in safety culture, although the commitment dimension is in a proactive stage. However, information, awareness, and behavior are still at a calculative level. Conclusion: The company must improve communication methods, including effective communication, and provide consultation and training media for OHS issues.

Abstract

Desa Mekarsari terletak di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan, Jumlah keseluruhan depot air minum isi ulang yang ada di Desa Mekarsari sebanyak 30 depot air minum isi ulang. Berdasarkan hasil studi yang dilakukan Puskesmas Mekarsari terhadap 15 Penjamah depot air minum isi ulang di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mekarsari ada 14 Penjamah DAMIU yang tidak menerapkan personal higiene dengan sesuai standar. Berdasarkan pengamatan terhadap 15 karyawan Penjamah depot, terdapat 12 karyawan tidak mencuci tangan sebelum melayani konsumen dan tidak merawat kuku serta kebersihan tangan dan kaki. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode Cross-Sectional Study atau Studi Potong-Lintang. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini yakni seluruh Penjamah Depot Air Minum Isi Ulang dan Penjamah DAMIU yang ada di wilayah Puskesmas Mekarsari yaitu sebanyak 30 Penjamah DAMIU dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil dan Pembahasan : Berdasarkan analisis statistik Uji Chi-square hubungan pengetahuan dengan personal higiene diperoleh p-value = 0,821 dengan ???? = 0,05, hubungan pendidikan dengan personal higiene diperoleh p-value = 0,004 dengan ???? = 0,05, hubungan masa kerja dengan personal higiene diperoleh p-value = 0,026 dengan ???? = 0,05, dan tidak ada hubungan sikap dengan personal higiene diperoleh p-value = 0,058 dengan ???? = 0,05. Kesimpulan : tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan dengan personal higiene, ada hubungan pendidikan dengan personal higiene, ada hubungan masa kerja dengan personal higiene, dan tidak ada hubungan sikap dengan personal higiene. Saran : Bagi Penjamah DAMIU agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya terkait personal hygiene serta sanitasi DAMIU. Cara yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan mengikuti webinar atau pelatihan yang tersedia di platform digital, atau bisa mengikuti pelatihan terkait personal higiene yang diadakan oleh Dinas Kesehatan setempat. Bagi pemilik atau pengelola DAMIU agar menyediakan sarana untuk menerima kritik dan saran dari pelanggkan atau konsumen.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengelolaan sampah sejak dini merupakan langkah penting dalam membentuk perilaku peduli lingkungan. Kegiatan edukasi mengenai pemilahan sampah dan konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Oktober 2024 kepada siswa kelas 2 dan kelas 4 SDIT Al-Ikhwan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran mereka dalam mengelola sampah secara benar. Edukasi dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah interaktif dengan menggunakan media ppt, poster, diskusi, dan praktik langsung memilah sampah sesuai kategori. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa yang signifikan berdasarkan hasil post-test, dengan ditandai oleh kemampuan mereka dalam membedakan sampah organik, anorganik, dan B3, serta pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai penerapan 3R dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain peningkatan pengetahuan, terlihat pula perubahan sikap positif siswa terhadap kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, seperti lebih konsisten membuang sampah pada tempatnya dan memanfaatkan kembali barang yang masih dapat digunakan. Kesimpulannya, edukasi pemilahan sampah dan 3R dapat meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar dan dapat menjadi program berkelanjutan untuk mendukung pembentukan budaya peduli lingkungan di sekolah. Kata Kunci: Sampah, Pemilihan Sampah, 3R, Edukasi  ABSTRACT Early waste management is an important step in shaping environmentally conscious behavior. An educational activity on waste sorting and the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) was held on October 14, 2024, for 2nd and 4th grade students at SDIT Al-Ikhwan with the aim of increasing their knowledge and awareness of proper waste management. The education was carried out through interactive lectures using PowerPoint presentations, posters, discussions, and hands-on practice in sorting waste according to category. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' knowledge based on the post-test results, as indicated by their ability to distinguish between organic, inorganic, and hazardous waste, as well as a better understanding of the application of 3R in everyday life. In addition to increased knowledge, there was also a positive change in students' attitudes towards school environmental cleanliness, such as being more consistent in disposing of waste in its proper place and reusing items that could still be used. In conclusion, education on waste sorting and the 3Rs can improve the environmental literacy of elementary school students and can be a sustainable program to support the formation of an environmentally conscious culture in schools. Keywords: Garbage, Garbage Sorting, 3R, Education.
