Abstract

Pepper (Piper nigrum L.) has a high selling value. The price of pepper in the domestic or international market that is always high can be a great opportunity to increase farmers’ income. Tirtomoyo District is dominated by hilly areas with common soil types of Litosol and Latosol. As one of the efforts to develop the regional economic rate, especially in hilly areas, pepper cultivation can be a solution offered by the agricultural sector. The study was conducted using an explorative descriptive survey method consisting of field observation and laboratory analysis. The analytical unit used was Land Map Unit (LMU) obtained from soil map. The sampling sites were selected using purposive sampling method according to the research objectives and representing the study area. The results show that the actual land suitability for pepper in Tirtomoyo District is marginally suitable (S3) for all LMU. The main limiting factors are water availability and nutrient availability, thus the Tirtomoyo district still have potency for pepper cultivation by applying some improvement measures such as fertilization, irrigation, organic material addition, and cover crop planting.

Abstract

Community service activities are carried out in partnership with the government of Beruk Village, Jatiyoso District, Karanganyar Regency. This activity aims to increase public awareness and participation in the development of Beruk village so that it can become an agriculture-based tourism village. The implementation method is carried out through socialization, workshops and group discussion forums (FGD). The results of community service activities are an increase in the cognitive aspects of  members of the Beruk village community related to the natural potential that can be managed into a tourist village so that it can improve the residents’ economny, cognitive enhancement of farmers in running farming on conservation land so that they can support agriculture-based tourism village programs and cognitive enhancement village government officials in managing Bumdes so as to provide information on the formation, management and efforts to establish Beruk village as a tourist village

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of land and labor institutions on food and non food consumption in Gunung Kidul. The research was conducted by discriptive method. The result of this research shows that food and non-food consumption of the owrner-operator farmers are not different with the consumption of farmers in other land institutions. Food and non-food consumption of forestry tenant land are lower than the consumption of farmers in other land institutions. Food consumption of Lungguh-Kas Desa-Pengarem arem-milik Perseorangan (LKP) rented land is lower than the consumption of farmers in other land institutions. Food consumption based on labor institution of farming is not different. Non food consumption of farmers who employ royongan labor is higher than one of farmers in other labor institutions.Kerywords : land institutions, labor, consumption

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan Supply Chain Management (SCM) peternakan sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September-Desember 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei untuk mengumpulkan data primer dari responden dan data sekunder dari dinas terkait. Responden diambil secara purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan SCM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai yang dibobotkan dalam IFE sebesar 3,04 dan nilai yang dibobotkan dalam EFE sebesar 3,31. Hal ini berarti posisi usaha ternak sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri berada pada daerah I yang merupakan tahap Tumbuh dan Bina (Growth and Build). Strategi yang sesuai untuk daerah ini adalah strategi intensif, meliputi penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri, selain itu bisa menggunakan strategi integrative yakni integrasi ke belakang, integrasi ke depan dan integrasi horizontal

Abstract

Local knowledge is the various works and initiatives of a certain community which are believed to be useful for fulfilling part of their daily needs. This local knowledge can take the form of a set of knowledge and skills in creating something that is believed to be very useful. The source or origin of local knowledge and skills is generally acquired from generation to generation or the result of paying attention to and practicing it yourself over and over again the result of the experiences of others arround it. The use of this local knowledge has been empirically believed and proven by local community from time to time. One of the works of the Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group, Pereng Mojogedang village, is the ude of cattle rumen and its contents as a biodecompuser in the process of fermentation of solid wate from castle to fermented solid organik fertilizer. The rationale is very simple, namely in the rumen of cows there are bacteria that can destroy various forages that are eaten by cows. Therefore, if the bacteria can be cultivated outside the cow’s stomach, it can be used to overcome the abundant solid wate of cattle in rural areas to become solid organik fertilizer needed by farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the process and impact of community empowerment in the development of an independent village of biogas energy in Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency. The results showed that community empowerment in Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency has been going on since 2014. Until now, there have been 40 more digester installations installed. Empowerment is carried out with the help of NGO field facilitators and has received several awards. The stages of empowerment are carried out by raising awareness, capacitating and empowering them. Awareness is carried out by making the village aware of the potential of livestock manure waste and overcoming the problem of air pollution caused by slag waste. Capacitating is carried out by providing capacitance to humans (individuals), organizations and value systems, providing guidance in the form of training activities. Trust is given by giving the community full authority to manage biogas. The impact of this empowerment is a change in mindset, work patterns, value systems and business systems.

Abstract

Elderly is a global concern since the number of elderly populations is increasing, which also become one of the concerns of the national health insurance (JKN). Health insurance for the elderly has a package of benefits according to physical conditions and degenerative diseases. Since the elderly is susceptible to disease, Indonesia has Healthcare and Social Security Chronic Disease Management Program, National Health Insurance known as Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Program Pengelolaan Penyakit Kronis (BPJS Prolanis) to guarantee the health of elderly. This study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of BPJS Prolanis in the community which located in Yogyakarta in order to give the feedback for this program. This research using qualitative method, with phenomenological research approach, which conducted in Yogyakarta during 2020. The result showed that most of the elderly, which is 221 (77.5%) elderly already have the health insurance, but only 38.9% who has BPJS Prolanis. Besides, there are more than 50% of the elderly have disease that often complained of. Hence, this study proposed suggestions for BPJS Prolanis, such as giving a continues education for the elderly through public health center. Besides, public health center can hold a promotive and preventive activities for the elderly to increase the awareness of the elderly on having the BPJS Prolanis.

Abstract

Eucalyptus is a type of productive plant in the forestry sector which has a fairly important role in the essential oil industry. Farmers of Wonoharjo Village, Kemusu District, Boyolali Regency cultivate eucalyptus plants and process them into eucalyptus oil products independently. Eucalyptus farmers in Wonoharjo Village are members of the Wonolestari 1 and Wonolestari 2 Forest Farmer Groups (KTH) who are still experiencing problems in carrying out a product marketing system, especially in the utilization of communication technology. Therefore, it is necessary to assist farmers in marketing eucalyptus oil products. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education, assistance and training as an effort to increase the knowledge and skills of eucalyptus farmers in Wonoharjo Village in processing eucalyptus oil to have a high selling value by implementing online-based integrated marketing communications. The method of implementing service activities is carried out by preparing material handbooks, marketing socialization packaged through workshops, training, digital marketing communication practices with the preparatory and execution stages. The socialization activities carried out are able to increase the knowledge of eucalyptus oil farmers regarding digital marketing through several social media such as Instagram, Youtube and E-Commerce applications namely Shopee. Mentoring activities are expected to be able to increase product marketing by reaching consumers widely so that people's incomes also increase.

Abstract

Keberhasilan suatu program pertanian tidak terlepas dari persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) faktor-faktor pembentuk persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian, (2) persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian, (3) hubungan antara faktor-faktor pembentuk persepsi dengan persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian, (4) perbedaan persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) di Kecamatan Polokarto dan Tawangsari, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Sebanyak 62 sampel responden diambil dengan proportional random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan lebar interval, Rank Spearman dan U-Mann Whitney dengan program IBM SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) faktor pembentuk persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian adalah umur, pendidikan formal, pendidikan non formal, tingkat pendapatan, pengalaman berusahatani dan interaksi sosial, (2) persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh adalah sedang (cukup baik), (3) faktor pendidikan formal, pendidikan non formal serta pengalaman berusahatani memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan persepsi petani terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian; faktor umur, tingkat pendapatan dan juga interaksi sosial tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan, (4) terdapat perbedaan persepsi yang signifikan terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian antara petani yang tinggal di lokasi strategis dengan petani yang tinggal di lokasi tidak strategis.
