Abstract

Background. The success of rice production is influenced by many factors, one of which is the selection of varieties. Varieties, as a supporting factor in increasing agricultural productivity, will be able to show values according to potential yields with optimal farming management. Aims. This study aims to examine the differences in agronomic characteristics and kinship of 10 high-yielding inbred rice varieties (Oryza sativa L.) in West Java. The experiment was conducted at the Variety Display Land, Pamekaran Village, Soreang District, Bandung Regency. The experiment was conducted from April to August 2024. The experimental location was situated at an altitude of 700 m above sea level. Methods. The agronomic characteristic experiment method used a qualitative descriptive approach. In the experimental approach, a Randomized Block Design (RBD) was employed with 10 inbred rice phenotype treatments, repeated three times. The materials used in this experiment were 10 high-yielding inbred rice varieties. Result. Based on the study's results, similarities were observed in morphological characters among several inbred rice varieties, including those in Group I, Inpari 32 HDB, and Situ Bagendit, with a similarity level of 100%. In Group II, the Mekongga, Inpari 42, Inpari 33, and Inpari 30 varieties, and in Group III, the Ciherang and Padjadjaran Cakrabuana Agritan varieties, achieved a coefficient value of 78%. Conclusion. The similarity is 0.10 or 100% with a similarity coefficient level of 100% seen from the morphological character data based on the Rice UVOP Table

Abstract

Background. Volvariella volvacea (straw mushroom) is a high-demand agricultural commodity. Rice straw is used as a planting medium in this crop production. During the harvest season, this type of media is abundant. Other press must be used to produce straw mushrooms continuously. Aims. This research aims to study the growth and yield of the mushroom V. volvacea on various growing media. Karawang regency hosted an experimental study. Methods. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with six treatments and four replications. The treatment of mushroom growing media in rice straw, rice husk, waste from textile fabric (cotton), and three other treatments was a 1:1 (v/v) mixture of these planting media. Result. The findings revealed that different planting media had an impact on the growth and yield of straw mushrooms. Conclusion. The highest mushroom production was obtained by combining the growing media ,straw and husk ,in a 1:1 ratio. Implementation. Rice husk can be used as a substitute for straw as a growing medium.

Abstract

Soybean is lots of plants contain beneficial nutrition for Indonesian society. The need for soybeans continues to increase every year while national soybean production is still low. One of the efforts to increase soybean production is by intercropping with corn. Competition in obtaining growth factors, one of which is nutrients, is a major problem in intercropping, therefore it is necessary to add environmentally friendly nutrients such as Azolla pinnata. This study aims to analyze the performance of soybean cultivars planted by intercropping with corn by administering LOF Azolla pinnata. The research method used a randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 24 treatment combinations and was repeated twice to see the effectiveness of the treatment, analyzed with response surface regression. The results of the research show Cultivars Anjasmoro, Dega 1 and Gepak Kuning show most agronomic appearance good with administration of LOF Azolla dose 400 ml.L -1. results study this show giving LOF to cultivation plant in a manner intercropping could conducted for minimize impact negative competition between plant on system intercropping. Selection could conducted with see correlation between character which have correlation most tightly with character result.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Dawuan Kidul Village, Dawuan District, Subang Regency with an altitude of 700 m above sea level, with a type B (wet) climate from September 2022 to December 2022. This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of the interaction between the concentrations of the hormax biofertilizer and spacing on the growth and yield of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) variety Biga, (2) knowing the concentration of hormax biofertilizer and spacing that gives the best results on peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) variety Biga. The experimental design used was a split plot design with a factorial pattern with Duncan's follow-up test. Hormax concentration treatment (k) consisted of 4 levels, namely k0 (concentration 0 ml/L solution), k2 (concentration 5 ml/L solution), k3 (concentration 10 ml/L solution), k4 (concentration 15 ml/L solution) . The spacing treatment (j) consisted of 4 levels, namely j1 (30x15 cm), j2 (30x20 cm), j3 (30x25 cm), j4 (30x30 cm). The results showed that there was an interaction between the concentration of hormax biofertilizer and plant spacing on the response of plant height 21 HST, number of leaves 21 HST, 35 HST, 49 HST and the number of pods planted. The best interaction was shown from the application of 5 and 10 ml/L biological fertilizer solution at a spacing of 30x30cm for a plant height response of 21 DAP, the provision of 15 ml/L biological fertilizer solution at a spacing of 30x25cm was best for a response of 21 DAP leaves, the application of 15 ml biological fertilizer /L solution at a spacing of 30x20 was the best for the response to the number of leaves of 35 HST and the application of biological fertilizer 5 ml/L solution at a spacing of 30x20 was best for the response to the number of leaves of 49 HST and the number of pods.
