Abstract

Tersedianya unsur hara dan air yang cukup merupakan salah satu syarat untuk keberhasilan kegiatan pembibitan dalam perbanyakan tanaman teh. Pertumbuhan bibit yang baik ditandai dengan seimbangnya pertumbuhan perakaran dan batang dengan daun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi dan interval pemberian bahan organik cair (BOC) bonggol pisang dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit teh serta untuk mendapatkan informasi konsentrasi dan interval BOC bonggol pisang yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik untuk pertumbuhan bibit teh. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 sampai Maret 2022 di Pusat Penelitian Teh dan Kina Gambung, Ciwidey, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat yang berada pada ketinggian ±1.350 m dpl. Percobaan disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan sembilan kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang tiga kali. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu pupuk urea sebagai kontrol, dan kombinasi konsentrasi BOC bonggol pisang (10%, 20%, 30% dan 40%) dengan interval pemberian BOC (7 dan 14 hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian BOC bonggol pisang pada konsentrasi 40% dengan interval 7 hari sekali (28,60 cm) memberikan pengaruh lebih baik untuk variabel panjang akar (12 MSP) dibandingkan dengan pemberian pupuk anorganik urea (19,88 cm).  Pemberian BOC bonggol pisang konsentrasi 10 – 40% yang dikombinasikan dengan interval aplikasi 7 hari dan 14 hari dapat menjadi alternatif pemupukan organik pada pembibitan setek teh klon GMB 7 yang berumur delapan bulan.

Abstract

The growth of Arabica coffee plants in the immature phase can be improved by shade application thus the plants absorb sunlight optimally and AMF to maintain soil fertility through the AMF association with the roots of the Arabica coffee plants. This research aims to determine the shading type and AMF dosage that increasing the growth of Arabica coffee plants (Coffea arabica) in the immature phase. This research was conducted at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java, with an altitude of ±750 m above sea level from February 2023 to May 2023. The design used was a split plot design with three replications. The main plot was the type of shade which consisted of three levels, namely: 65% paranet shade, gamal shade trees with a ratio of gamal to coffee of 1:2, and shade trees of gamal with a ratio of gamal to coffee of 1:4. Subplots were AMF doses consisting of four levels: without AMF (control), AMF doses of 40g/plant, AMF doses of 50g/plant, AMF doses of 60g/plant. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the shade of the gamal shade tree and the dose of AMF in the ratio of gamal to coffee 1:2 and the AMF dose of 40g/plant on the parameter of increase in stem diameter at 10-12 WAP. There is an independent effect of the type of shade of gamal shade trees with a ratio of gamal to coffee of 1:4 on the parameters of increase in leaf number 6-12 WAT, increase in branch length 2 WAT, increase in stem diameter 8-10 WAT, and chlorophyll index 2 WAT.

Abstract

Liberoid Meranti coffee seeds can grow well if they are cared for properly. The plant nursery phase determines the successful growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee plants. One of the important maintenance actions carried out when cultivating coffee plants is choosing planting media and fertilization. The organic fertilizer that can be used as a planting media mixture in Liberoid meranti coffee nurseries is cow manure. Rabbit urine is a liquid organic material that contains nutrients, so it can be applied to soil or plants to add nutrients. Liquid organic materials contain macro- and micronutrients. Using the right composition of cow manure and rabbit urine concentrations really determines the growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee plant seeds. This experiment was carried out from February 2023 to June 2023 at the Ciparanje experimental garden, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency. This experiment was carried out using a randomized group design (RAK) with nine treatments: soil + 2g urea; soil + 25% rabbit urine; soil + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (1:1) + rabbit urine 25%; soil + cow manure (1:1) + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (2:1) + rabbit urine 25%; soil + cow manure (2:1) + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (3:1) + rabbit urine 50%, and each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 27 experimental units. The experimental results showed that there was an influence of the composition of cow manure as a mixture of planting media and the concentration of rabbit urine on the growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee seedlings, except for the increase in the number of leaves. The composition of a mixture of planting media with cow manure (3:1) and a rabbit urine concentration of 25% provides the best growth for Liberoid Meranti coffee seedlings.

Abstract

The intercropping system in oil palm plantations is an effort to optimize land, especially at the immature stages (IS), which have a large open space between the trees, so it can be used for cultivating annual crops such as maize. Oil palm trees are generally planted on marginal lands, such as Inceptisol, which generally lacks in phosphor (P). These problems can be reduced by applying arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) to elevate P. This experiment was to determine the dosage and effectiveness of AMF that can improve the growth and yield of maize intercropped with a 4-year-old oil palm. The experiment was conducted at the Ciparanje Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, from February to May 2022. The experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with six treatments and was repeated four times. The treatment consisted of giving AMF doses, which included: without AMF, 2 g AMF/plant, 4 g AMF/plant, 6 g AMF/plant, 8 g AMF/plant, 10 g AMF/plant. The results showed that the application of AMF can increase growth and better yield maize. A dosage of 10 g AMF/plant is the best treatment, increasing plant height, cob length, cob diameter, dry shelled weight, and 100 seed weight, each 3, 04%, 5.5%, 8.1%, 50.21%, and 8.42% compared to no AMF.Keywords: arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, intercropping, maize, oil palm

Abstract

The plantation rejuvenation program makes the need for ready-to-distribute tea seedlings getting higher. Meanwhile, the nursery's seedlings are mostly not ready to distribute. This study aimed to determine the response of not-ready-distribute tea seedlings due to the application of biofertilizers at various concentrations and intervals. This experiment was carried out at Gambung Tea and Quinine Research Center Nursery, conducted from December 2021 to February 2022 at an altitude of 1,350 meters above sea level (asl). The experimental method used was a randomized block design with eight treatment combinations, namely: control (no fertilizer); urea fertilizer every two weeks; Biofertilizer 5 mL L-1 + interval once a week; Biofertilizer 5 mL L-1 + interval every two weeks; Biofertilizer 10 mL L-1 + break once a week; Biofertilizer 10 mL L-1 + interval every two weeks; Biofertilizer 15 mL L-1 + interval once a week; Biofertilizer 15 mL L-1 + interval every two weeks, all repeated four times. The experimental results showed that treatment of biological fertilizers influenced the parameter number of leaves and chlorophyll index. The application of biofertilizer with a concentration of 15 mL L-1 + interval of 2 weeks greatly influenced the parameters of leaf number and chlorophyll content index.

Abstract

Robusta coffee production can be sucessed by using high-quality seedlings that have good growth performance. One of several keys to success in seedling production is the choosing best planting medium and providing exogenous growth regulators. These include using cocopeat planting media and giving coconut water. This research aims to determine whether using cocopeat planting media and providing coconut water can increase the growth of robusta coffee seedlings. The experiment used a randomized complete group design with six treatments and four replications; each experimental unit consisted of three robusta coffee seedlings. The six tested treatments were control (topsoil 100%); cocopeat 50% + topsoil 50%; cocopeat 100%; topsoil 100% + coconut water 200 mL; cocopeat 50% + topsoil 50% + coconut water 200 mL; and cocopeat 100% + coconut water 200 mL. This study indicated that cocopeat and coconut water could increase the growth of robusta coffee seedlings. The composition of cocopeat 100% and the combination of topsoil 50% + cocopeat 50% had an improvement effect on the growth of robusta coffee seedlings.

Abstract

Jengkol (Pithecellobium jiringa (Jack) Prain.) merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang banyak ditanam dengan sistem home garden di Indonesia. Pengembangan tanaman ini kebanyakan masih menggunakan perbanyakan generative yaitu dengan biji. Kendala perbanyakan dengan biji adalah waktu reproduktif yang lama dan variasi hasil panen. Pemanfaatan plasma nutfah yang telah di identifikasi dengan melakukan perbanyakan vegetatif menggunakan setek daun dan pencangkokan bertujuan untuk mempersingkat umur tanaman dan menyeragamankan hasil panen dibandingkan dengan perbanyakan biji. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah Sumedang Jawa Barat dengan mencangkok secara insitu pada tanaman induk jengkol yang telah dikarakterisasi sebelumnya, selain itu membawa preparat untuk diperbanyak melalaui setek daun. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperoleh perbanyakan vegetatif menggunakan setek daun mati total dan 19 cangkokan yang hidup dari 34 total cangkokan. Hal ini menunjukkan perbanyakan vegetatif melalui system pencangkokan lebih kompatibel pada tanaman jengkol di bandingkan dengan setek daun.

Abstract

Kebutuhan masyarakat akan sayuran semakin meningkat di era globalisasi sekarang seiring kesadaran manusia akan kebutuhan nutrisi dan gizi untuk  meningkatkan Kesehatan. Bunci merupakan produk hortikultura yang mempunyai kandungan gizi, vitamin dan mineral yang dibutuhkan manusia untuk proses metabolismenya Sayuran yang segar dan bebas dari bahan-bahan berbahaya atau zat berbahaya bagi manusia merupakan idaman bagi setiap manusia. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertema Potensi Pengembangan Buncis dan Teknik Budidayanya dilaksanakan di Desa Sindangsari  Dusun Cikeuyeup Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang memiliki tujuan, diantaranya memberikan pemahaman, serta wawasan bahwa  budidaya buncis cukup potensial dikembangkan di Desa Sindangsari karena di samping dapat dikonsumsi sendiri juga mempunyai nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh perwakilan ibu-ibu kelompok wanita tani dan kader PKK tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan di kawasan Desa Sindangsari yang berlangsung pada bulan Juni 2022 hingga September 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah: kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihan pengembangan tanaman buncis, serta  pembuatan demplot percontohan tanaman buncis. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan respons yang positif terlihat dari minat dan ketertarikan ibu PKK yang cukup tinggi.  Melalui sosialisasi ini pengetahuan dan praktek mengenai budidaya buncis meningkat, serta antusiasme kelompok ibu PKK membudidayakan tinggi terbukti dari hasil panen buncis ini dapat dikonsumsi sertasebagian dipasarkan disekitar lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Nilai ekonomi lada pada subsektor perkebunan cukup penting dan perlu penguatand aya saingnya untuk menghadapi semakin tajamnya kompetisi pasar ke depan.Ketertarikan masyarakat untuk membudidaya lada cukup besar karena memberikan kompensasi pendapatan yang cukup menarik,walaupun kadang kadang sering terjadi fluktuasi harga akibat dinamika pasar kocal maupun regional. Desa Pamekarsari termasuk salah satu desa yang berada di wilayah administratif Kecamatan Surian Kabupaten Sumedang. Desa ini dipilih sebagai lokasi Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM)  karena memiliki potensi yang besar dalam budidaya lada, sebagian besar penduduknya masih hidup dari pertanian. Tujuan PKM ini m untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan kesejahteraan penduduk melalui pengembangan budidaya lada. Waktu kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2023 sampai September 2023. Metode yang digunakan  dalam kegiatan ini melibatkan penyuluhan teknologi budidaya lada, pelatihan,  demonstrasi plot serta pendampingan  Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini bahwa Desa Pamekarsari merupakan lokasi strategis untuk pengembangan budidaya lada mengingat kondisi Tanah dan Iklim yang mendukung pertumbuhan budidaya lada. Melalui kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan  dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada petani, sehingga mereka dapat mandiri dalam mengelola usaha budidaya lada, dengan meningkatnya pendapatan dan kualitas produksi, diharapkan kualitas hidup petani dan masyarakat setempat akan meningkat. program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan, mutu hidup, dan kemandirian masyarakat Desa Pamekarsari. Dengan berfokus pada budidaya lada sebagai usaha utama, diharapkan bahwa program ini dapat mencapai hasil yang signifikan dalam menciptakan kesejahteraan dan kemajuan ekonomi bagi penduduk desa tersebut.

Abstract

Excessive use of inorganic fertilizers in oil palm nurseries can be minimized by using liquid organic ingredients. The use of liquid organic ingredients (LOI) from banana peels and rice washing water aimed to determine and study its effect on the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre-nursery. The experiment was carried out at the Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, in February - May 2022. The experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with nine treatment combinations and was repeated three times, each treatment consisting of two seeds. The treatments tested were control without the addition of liquid organic ingredients from banana peels and rice washing water, as well as a combination of various doses of LOI from banana peels and rice washing water. The experimental results showed that the LOI and rice washing water given only had a significant effect on the leaf area of oil palm seedlings at 1 MAT and leaf chlorophyll content at 3 MAT. However, it was seen that giving 25 mL LOI from banana peel/L water/plant combined with 250 mL of rice washing water has a good influence on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the pre-nursery.
