Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses the Buck-Boost converter Design Using PID Control. Buck-Boost converter is a type of DC-DC converter that can convert DC voltage to a higher level or lower level. The buck-boost converter uses the PID system which is expected to produce a Buck-Boost converter output voltage in accordance with the setpoint and get a stable output voltage response, without overshooting and fast rise time. Tuning of PID parameters is done by the modified Ziegler Nichols 2 method, namely the original ZN, some overshoot, and No overshoot. Of the 3 types of tuning the PID has not gotten results in accordance with the design objectives, while it is still a high error and an unstable response. So the trial and error methods  is used to get optimal results with PID parameters, namely Kp = 0.34, Ki = 0.350 and Kd = 0.019. The PID tuning of the trial and error method results in a stable response with steady-state error = 0, time delay = 0.37 s, rise time = 1.8 s, peak time = 0 and settling time = 1.8 s. From the results of the Buck-Boost converter output response proved the Buck-Boost converter using PID control was in accordance with the design goals.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman saat ini mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, yang mana gaya hidup di kalangan masyarakat saat ini yang lebih suka mengkonsumsi makanan siap saji. Terutama makanan siap saji dengan bahan dasar kentang yaitu stik kentang. Produk olahan stik kentang banyak dilakukan pada industri rumahan  yang masih menggunakan alat produksi secara manual yang tidak dapat memproduksi dalam kapasitas banyak dan membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama. Dari permasalahan tersebut penulis mencoba merancang sekaligus membuat alat pemotong kentang secara otomatis agar waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk memproduksi relatif lebih singkat dan kapasitas dari hasil yang didapatkan lebih maksimal. Alat ini dibuat dengan meneliti waktu yang dituhkan alat untuk memotong 0,25 Kg kentang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sensor VL53L0X sebagai pendeteksi kentang, pneumatik untuk mendorong kentang ke arah mata pisau yang digerakkan oleh kompresor dengan mengatur tekanan udara menggunakan selenoid valve dan ATMega 328 sebagai pusat kontrol pada sistem kerja alat secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in the subject of electric motor installation. Learning that takes place in the classroom is still conventional, generally using the lecture method and writing learning materials on the blackboard. Students or students listen to the teacher's explanation while writing learning material in front of the class. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on Electrical Motor Installation Subjects at SMK Muhammadiyah Padang. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of Pre-Experimental using a one class posttest design. The subjects of this study were students of the Muhammadiyah 1 Padang vocational high school majoring in electrical energy installation engineering, totaling 22 people. The population in this study means that all students of class XI, Department of Electrical Energy Installation Engineering, Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational High School. The research data processing uses the SPSS application which illustrates that the posttest scores obtained by students are the lowest score of 63 and the highest of 100. The results show that the average posttest score after applying the Problem Based Learning model is 85.6. The result of classical completeness test is 86.36%. This means that it is concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method is said to be very effective because it can be seen from the higher classical completeness value of 85%, which is 86.36%.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in the subject of electric motor installation in class XI TITL SMKN 1 Kec. Guguak. The achievement of student learning outcomes in excessive competence is disappointing with the average student scoring below the SKM. one of the causes of the low grades of students is because the teacher-centred learning techniques are still being applied. As a result, students have difficulty understanding the material that is applied to students' failure in certain subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of Pre-Experimental using a one class posttest design. The object of this research is the Problem based learning (PBL) model and the effectiveness of learning outcomes that will occur in the subject of electric motor installation. The subjects in this study were students of class XI TITL at SMKN 1 Kec. Guguak. The research instrument used in this study was in the form of posttest questions in an objective form. As a result of the research giving the effect of posttest scores before applying the example of Problem-Based Learning is Good. Based on the results of the classical completeness test, namely Effective. It was concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning method was said to be effective because the classical completeness value was included in the High category.

Abstract

Practical learning on Electric Motor Installation is one of the lessons in class XI and XII TITL at SMKN 5 Solok Selatan. Learning activities have not been effective because students only use a sheet of worksheets, where the worksheets used only contain pictures of a series of work made by students themselves before practicing. The purpose of the study was to obtain valid, practical and effective results of the Electric Motor Installation practice worksheet. Using the 4D development research method with 4 stages of activity, namely define, design, develop, and dessiminate, validity tests, practicality tests, and effectiveness tests have been carried out on the jobsheet. The results of the practicality test of the Electric Motor Installation practice worksheet are stated in the very valid category, the results of the practicality test of the worksheet are stated in the very practical category. The results of the josbheet effectiveness test stated that the jobsheet was effectively used. The conclusion of the research is that the Jobsheet is declared valid, practical, and effectively used in the practice of installing an electric motor for class XI TITL at SMKN 5 Solok Selatan.

Abstract

This research is correlational to find out how big the contribution of professional competence and social competence of teachers to the productive learning outcomes of class X TITL students at SMK N 1 Guguak. The quality of learning depends on the professional competence and social competence of the teacher. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between professional competence and social competence of teachers on productive learning outcomes. This type of research is correlational research. The research instrument is a questionnaire in the form of a Liekert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results obtained for each variable, there are 4 items that are invalid. The results of the professional competency test on productive learning outcomes are stated to be correlated, the results of social competence tests on productive learning outcomes are stated to be significantly related, while professional competency tests and social competences on productive learning outcomes are stated to be significantly related. The conclusion of this study is that professional competence, social competence, as well as professional competence and social competence on students' productive learning outcomes are stated to have a high correlation with the stated hypothesis being accepted.

Abstract

Kompetensi profesional guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, harus selalu ditingkatkan agar dapat menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang baik bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini membahas tentang peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang Ketenagalistrikan melalui pelaksanaan program pelatihan keterampilan Programable Logic Control (PLC), program pelatihan dirancang dalam dua metode yaitu metode teori dan praktik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 orang guru bidang ketenagalistrikan SMK Negeri 2 Sijunjung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam bidang otomasi industri khusunya PLC setelah mengikuti kegiatan program pelatihan keterampilan PLC. Peningkatan ini diindikasikan dengan hasil Pascates peserta yang rata-rata mengalami peningkatan pada tingkatan yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pelatihan keterampilan PLC bagi guru SMK Negeri 2 Sijunjung dapat meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam bidang otomasi industri sesuai dengan tuntutan perkembangan revolusi industri 4.0.

Abstract

Student business incubators are organizational units that provide facilities and infrastructure as well as integrated services in developing new entrepreneurs so that they develop into strong and independent entrepreneurs. It is hoped that the student business incubator will have a role in driving the pace of regional and national economic growth and progress to achieve a more prosperous society. Methods for operating a student business incubator include; a) service of facilities and infrastructure in the form of offices, laboratories and workshops both on campus and in partner companies that can be shared; b) access to management training opportunities for tenants to generate, foster and develop entrepreneurs on an ongoing basis so that they become strong entrepreneurs; c) consulting services; d) establishing a working network between entrepreneurs and employers' associations; e) product development into commercial products.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how much the contribution of teacher professional competence is to student learning outcomes in the subject of electric motor installation at SMK N 5 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research that is correlational. The population in this study were grade 2 students at SMK N 5 Padang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The test of the questionnaire instrument was carried out to 30 students in class 2 TITL. To determine the validity of the questionnaire, the product moment correlation formula was used with a significance level of 5%, 9 items were found to be invalid and a reliability test was carried out using the alpha coefficient formula by comparing the r product table moment significance level of 5%. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling with a total of 38 students. Collecting data in this study using the questionnaire instrument method and assessing student performance as measured by a Likert scale with data analysis using correlation coefficient analysis techniques and the significance of the correlation using the t-test. The results show that (1) there is a positive and strong correlation between teacher professional competence and student learning outcomes (2) there is a significant relationship between teacher professional competence and learning outcomes (3) the magnitude of the contribution of teacher professional competence to student learning outcomes in Installation subject Electric Motors obtained by 36.12%.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how much the contribution of pedagogic competence and teacher's personality competence to students' practical learning outcomes in the subject of electric power installation at SMK N 5 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with correlation analysis methods. The subjects of this study were students of class XI TITL at SMK N 5 Padang in the 2022/2023 academic year. With a total of 38 students, the sample determination was carried out by means of Proportional Random Sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire and documentation, scoring the questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale and then the questionnaire was validated by a validator expert lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering before being tested and distributed to the main respondents. Testing the hypothesis using the correlation test and testing the significance of the hypothesis using the t-test was carried out to test the effect partially between the independent and dependent variables. The results showed that (1) there was a significant and positive effect on teacher pedagogic competence on learning outcomes (2) there was a significant and positive effect on teacher personality competence on learning outcomes (3) there was a significant and positive effect on teacher pedagogic competence and personality as a whole together on practical learning outcomes in the subject of electric power installation at SMK N 5 Padang. So, it can be concluded that pedagogic competence and teacher personality contribute to students' practical learning outcomes, so every teacher who teaches must develop each of these competencies so that student learning outcomes can improve properly.
