Abstract

Cancer is a chronic disease that requires treatment for a long time and is a priority cause of death in developing countries. One of the cancer treatments is chemotherapy, which can cause several side effects that often occur, including nausea, vomiting, and fever. Side effects that are not handled properly will reduce the quality of life for patients and their families. This community service aims to increase patient, family, and community knowledge about overcoming the side effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients. The method used in this community service is health education through webinars targeting cancer patients, their families, and the community. Participants who took part in this health education program were 50 participants. The activity begins with a pre-test, followed by the delivery of material and questions and answers. To find out the effectiveness of health education on the knowledge of webinar participants about how to deal with the side effects of subsequent chemotherapy, post-tests were carried out. After health education, there was an increase in knowledge; namely, before education, most participants (52%) had sufficient knowledge, with an average score of 59.35, and after health education, most participants (76%) had good knowledge, with an average score of 84. Ways to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy include distraction, relaxation, hypnosis, acupuncture, and acupressure therapeutic massages. During the health education, it appeared that the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity, as evidenced by the many questions from the participants and an increase in knowledge. The results of this health education are expected to not only increase the participants' knowledge but also be applied to cancer patients who experience side effects after chemotherapy.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Preeclampsia is a serious problem, has a high level of complexity, and has an impact on mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. to identify non-pharmacological interventions that can prevent the incidence of preeclampsia. Rapid review with PCC approach based on several inclusion criteria and keywords. After the selection, 9 articles were obtained through the Ebsco and PubMed databases. We found four groups of non-pharmacological interventions in preventing the incidence of preeclampsia, which are community-based interventions, physical exercise, diet management, and early delivery planning. Non-pharmacological interventions to prevent preeclampsia were found to be effective, but in its implementation  it  requires  attention  and  assessment  of  the  factors  that  can influence the success and failure of the interventions. Abstract

Introduction: A stressful, authoritarian, and lack of collaboration learning environment can reduce students' motivation and interest in learning which ends in learning outcomes that are not optimal. Efforts to improve the quality of the learning environment need to be done by assessing the learning process, teachers, academic achievement, learning atmosphere and social environment. The purpose of this study will be to identify the description of the academic learning environment.Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 271 participating students as a sample using the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM). The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed to determine the frequency distribution of the academic learning environment which was then analyzed for each sub-variable.Results: The results of this study show that the academic learning environment score is 133.75/200 (72%), included in more positive than negative category. Based on the sub dimensions, the results of the learning process (33.41/48), teachers (30.98/44), academic achievement (23.39/32), learning atmosphere (29.79/48), and social environment (16 ,17/28). Academic achievement is the sub dimension with the highest rating and social environment is the sub dimension with the lowest score. Conclusions: The assessment of the academic learning environment is included in the more positive than negative category, meaning that the implementation of nursing education has been going well even though there are deficiencies. DREEM will assess the parts that are already positive, need to be improved and need to be repaired.
