Abstract

Business Model Canvas (BMC) is an alternative option to create new business models. BMC includes customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, and cost structure. They are able to support companies aligning their business activities. By applying BMC, companies have several alternatives of business models. A research was conducted in order to apply BMC for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Jember Regency. The descriptive method was employed to arrange BMC, while the qualitative analysis was applied for data analysis. Primary data collection was obtained by customers’ interview. This paper describes the business plan of SOLOG (Analogue Sausage) product and application of BMC in the SMEs. The BMC creation for SOLOG was done in three stages. The first stage was a problem test, the second stage was a solution test and the last stage was verification model business. The last stage was chosen as the business model recommendation that is suitable as a reference in the business activities of SOLOG product.

Abstract

Industri Furniture memiliki peran penting dalam penerimaan devisa terutama di Kabupaten Jepara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui distribusi nilai tambah sepanjang value chain mebel mahoni dan menentukan skenario kebijakan yang dapat mendorong keberlanjutan industri mebel di Jepara dengan menerapkan model dinamis. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Jepara, Kabupaten Sumedang dan KPH Pati pada bulan Juni Nopember 2008. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa data sekunder dan data primer. Data primer diperoleh dengan cara wawancara menggunakan kuisioner. Analisis data meliputi identifikasi pelaku, pemetaan rantai nilai dan distribusi nilai tambah. Stella 8 digunakan dalam proses pemodelan dan simulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat ketidakseimbangan distribusi nilai tambah per m bahan baku sepanjang rantai nilai. Terdapat Software tiga skenario yang dapat diterapkan, yaitu (1) efisiensi dalam produksi mebel diikuti dengan peningkatan kapasitas pengrajin dalam pemasaran; (2) peningkatan penanaman mahoni di areal Perhutani yang dikombinasikan dengan kebijakan pengelolaan yang tepat untuk mengurangi tekanan terhadap hutan dan kebijakan yang bersifat insentif pada hutan rakyat, dan (3) skenario perdagangan yang adil melalui tindakan kolektif.

Abstract

Pengelolaan kawasan Hutan Lindung sering dihadapkan pada dilema antara kepentingan pelestarian hutan sebagai penyanggah berbagai aspek kehidupan dengan kepentingan dan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap kawasan tersebut. Efektifitas pengelolaan kawasan tersebut akan terganggu karena rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dan interaksinya yang kurang mendukung. Masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar kawasan Hutan Lindung Gunung Nona (HLGN) masih memiliki ketergantungan erat dengan kawasan ini dan berhubungan dengan mata pencaharian mereka dari pengelolaan dusungnya. Dusung adalah areal kebun tradisional masyarakat Maluku, dimana terdapat berbagai jenis tanaman berkayu dan didominasi oleh jenis pohon penghasil buah-buahan, sebagian dikombinasikan dengan tanaman-tanaman bermanfaat lainnya maupun hewan ternak. Tujuan riset ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengukur partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan kawasan Hutan Lindung dan menganalisis heterogenitas dan karakteristik individu dan organisasi masyarakat yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi dalam pengelolaan kawasan Hutan Lindung. Riset ini menggunakan analisis distribusi frekuensi dengan tabulasi silang yang kemudian diuji dengan teknik Chi kuadrat (Chi Square). Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa faktor heterogenitas dan karakteristik (individu dan organisasi) yang mempunyai hubungan erat dan berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan kawasan HLGN adalah pengetahuan tentang hutan lindung, luas penguasaan lahan dusung, status pemilikan dusung, lama keterlibatan dalam organisasi serta hubungan pengurus dan anggota masyarakat dalam organisasi.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim merupakan isu yang hangat saat ini dan mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan ekosistem secara global. Daerah aliran sungai (DAS) ciliwung adalah salah satu DAS kritis di indonesia dan menjadi DAS prioritas berdasarkan Kepermenhut No.SK.328/Menhut-II/2009. DAS ciliwung rentang terhadap perubahan iklim, terutama suhu dan curah hujan. Kerentanan DAS ciliwung berpengaruh terhadap kerentanan masyarakat di DAS ciliwung , oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kerentanan masyarakat terhadap perubahan iklim di DAS ciliwung. penilaian kerentanan masyarakat terhadap dilakukan selama hampir 9 bulan dari bulan April-desember 2009. Penilaian kerentanan masyarakat terhadap perubahan iklim menggunakan 3 karakteristik kerentanan, yaitu: singkapan, kepekaan, dan kemampuan adaptasi. Kriteria dan indikator singkapan menggunakan hasil referensi KNLH (1998) atau Indeks penggunaan air. sedangkan kepekaan dan kemampuan adaptasi mencakup selutuh aspek kehidupan sosial yang meliputi sosial, ekonomi, SM, fisik, dan alam. Penilaian kerentanan menggunakan proses hirarki analisis (AHP) dan sistem informasi geografi (SIG). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kerentanan masyarakat terhadap perubahan iklim di DAS ciliwung berbeda secara spasial. Kerentanan masyarakat di DAS ciliwung jilir termasuk ke dalam kelas medium dengan indeks 0,94. Sedangkan DAS ciliwung hulu dan tengah dikategorikan dalam kelas agak rendah dengan nilai indeks 0,16 dan 0,11. Perunahan iklim tidak bisa dicegah secara tuntas sehingga diperlukan adaptasi terhadap perubahan iklim. Strategi adaptasi terhadap perubahan ilklim dapat dilakukan dengan pengelolaan hutan secara lestari.

Abstract

Management of supply chain that interrelates and integrates both consumers and suppliers in a process to make a value of product or service for consumers is very importance and strategic as well. The research objective is to analyze and improve the sustainability performance of production process and distribution flow of the teak seedling production within its supply chain. This research used multiple dimensional analysis and value stream mapping to identify the sustainability performance and analytical network process to find the key factors that improve the SCM performance of superior teak production. The research found that 1) the Parameter influencing SCM is supplier and therefore it requires system improvement. The problem is that the delivery of materials purchased in Surabaya takes too long time before they are stored in the warehouse. Placing a purchase order long time beforehand may apparently solve the problem. But in fact, it creates another problem because the materials are not to be stored in the warehouse for a long time due to their short expiry date and due to the limited infrastructures like warehouse and roads. SCM values on the production system of superior teak seedling production of BPPT located in Jatisari area is 56.62 with a quite high category. Based on the leverage analysis, the most dominating SCM components are waiting factor at the value of 2.71; overproduction at 2.30 and inventory at 2.25, 2) Based on the ANP analysis, the research found a position map of SCM components at the stress value of 3.411% meaning that it is an Excellent model suitability while the index of fit (R) is at 94.673% meaning it meets the appropriateness. Transportation process consists of transportation of auxiliary material of seedling production, travel of seedlings from nurseries to adapting areas, and distribution of seedlings. Slow supply of consumables required for seedling production process due to long distance between the production areas and supplier sites will cause delayed delivery of goods particularly of those that are not scheduled because of special cases. Abstract

The Ecological footprint/EF is used as a tool to measure human consumption of the resource when compared they ability to regenerate. EF measures how much bio-productivity (BC) areas are needed by the population for sustainable resource production activities that are used to meet the needs and absorb the resulting waste. If EF over then BC, overshoot will be happened. Overshoot usually occurs short term but if continuously increasing will cause environmental degradation. Cisadane watershed became study area because it was part of government program to minimize environmental degradation. The purpose of this study was determining the condition of the upstream Cisadane watershed, whether the ecology is surplus or deficit. The result of study explained that upstream Cisadane watershed was ecology deficit from 2016-2020.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kelayakan finansial dan dampak dari model pengelolaan ternak yang ditemukan di sekitar hutan Gunung Mutis di Pulau Timor. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terhadap 40 masyarakat sekitar hutan. Terdapat dua model pengelolaan ternak yang ditemukan di sekitar hutan. Model pertama adalah model pemeliharaan ternak di dalam kandang dan model kedua adalah model penggembalaan ternak di hutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua model layak secara finansial. Namun demikian, jika menggunakan biaya tenaga kerja komersial, model pemeliharaan ternak di dalam kandang secara finansial tidak layak untuk dilakukan, sedangkan model penggembalaan di hutan layak secara finansial. Model pengelolaan ternak di dalam hutan berdampak negatif terhadap regenerasi pohon sedangkan model pemeliharaan ternak di dalam kandang tidak berdampak negatif terhadap kelestarian hutan. Dari hasil penelitian disarankan agar pemerintah membatasi areal untuk penggembalaan ternak di hutan.Kata kunci: kelayakan finansial; model silvopasture; Mutis; penggembalaan ternak hutan; Timor Livestock Management Models Around Mt. Mutis Forest and Its Impact on Forest SustainabilityAbstractThe study examined the financial feasibility and impacts of livestock management models found around Mt. Mutis forest in Timor Island of Indonesia. Data was collected through interviewing 40 communities around the forest. There were two livestock management models around the forest, the first model was livestock management which raise livestock in the cattle pen, and the second model was livestock management which graze livestock in the forest. This study found that both livestock management models were financially feasible. However, if commercial cost of workers was counted, the livestock management model which raise livestock in the cattle pen was financially not feasible while livestock management model which graze livestock in the forest was financially feasible. Livestock management model which graze livestock in the forest however had negative impacts on the regeneration of trees. On the basis of this study, it is suggested that the government should limit the forest area that could be used for forest grazing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di lokasi perusahaan tambang batubara yang terdapat pada empat kabupaten, yaitu: Kutai Kartanegara, Kutai Timur, Kutai Barat dan Berau. Keempat daerah tersebut merupakan daerah tambang terbesar di Kalimantan Timur. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis keberlanjutan pengelolaan bentang alam pasca tambang batubara di areal Izin Pinjam Pakai Kawasan Hutan (IPPKH) yang dikelola perusahaan berstatus usaha Perjanjian Karya Pengusahaan Pertambangan Batubara (PKP2B). Metodologi yang digunakan adalah multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) berdasarkan lima dimensi, yaitu: ekologi, ekonomi, sosial budaya, hukum dan kelembagaan, serta infrastruktur dan teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keberlanjutan pengelolaan bentang alam pasca tambang batubara di lokasi tersebut memiliki dua kategori status, yaitu: (1) status cukup berkelanjutan, terdiri dari: dimensi ekologi (54,26), dimensi ekonomi (55,06), dimensi hukum dan kelembagaan (55,08), dimensi infrastuktur dan teknologi (60,79); (2) status kurang berkelanjutan adalah dimensi sosial (49,10). Terdapat 22 atribut yang dinilai sensitif (leverage attribute) bagi keberlanjutan pengelolaan bentang alam pasca tambang batubara pada kawasan tersebut, sehingga perlu diambil strategi kebijakan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pengelolaannya, seperti melakukan rutinitas pengawasan, intervensi kebijakan dan perbaikan kinerja. Peran pemerintah sangat dibutuhkan di sini, agar strategi kebijakan memiliki kekuatan untuk ditaati dan fokus ke arah keberlanjutan bentang alam pasca tambang batubara di kawasan IPPKH.

Abstract

Green tea production activities at PT Candi Loka indicated a time-consuming, which caused process efficiency to be less than optimal. Process efficiency improvements must be made to increase company competitiveness and consumer satisfaction. This research aimed to analyze the efficiency of green tea production time at PT Candi Loka by identifying the processing time required in each production activity, including the time consumption and formulating recommendations for improvement using a lean manufacturing approach using the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) method. There were 30 activities in 6 processes consisting of receiving raw materials, withering, rolling, drying, and packaging. Identification of value streams using the PAM (Process Activity Mapping) tool produced 9 Value added (VA) activities, 19 Necessary but Non-Value Added (NNVA) activities, and 2 Non-Value Added (NVA) activities in the form of delays in the withering and drying processes. In the current state map analysis, the production lead time value was 315.286 seconds. Recommended improvements to eliminate delays in the withering process were to set up the rotary panner machine earlier and increase the number of supervisors, while to eliminate delays in the drying process were to implement a piece rate system. Increasing efficiency was also carried out by improving NNVA activities by adding weighbridge facilities and using a conveyor system. The future state map proposed by implementing recommended improvements resulted in an increase in production time efficiency to 222.356 seconds and an increase in the process cycle efficiency value from 58.95% to 84.85%.

Abstract

The capture fisheries agroindustry faces serious business sustainability threats in the future, both from economic, resource, environmental, technological and social aspects. Lemuru fish (Sardinella sp.) based agroindustry in Puger District, Jember Regency also faces a similar threat. This research aims to analyze the sustainability of the lemuru fish processing business and provide recommendations for improving its sustainability. The analytical method used is Rapfish (Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries), while the recommendations are prepared descriptively. The results of the analysis show that the Lemuru agro-industry sustainability index is in the less sustainable category with a score of 42.61. The environmental dimension has the lowest index value in the bad category, followed by the social and technological dimensions which are categorized as less sustainable, while the resource and economic dimensions are categorized as quite sustainable. Efforts to improve the environmental dimension can be made by organizing mentoring programs to develop environmental management efforts. For the social and technological dimensions, technological guidance, management and horizontal diversification of processed lemuru waste can be carried out into various innovative products.
