Abstract

ABSTRACT Layout design is a process that involves ways to improve the layout of an industrial company so that the layout used is more efficient and optimal during production. The layout design in this study aims to compare the layout in coffee production using the CRAFT method and the ARC method, to optimize the production flow at PT Mulyaningsih. The application of the CRAFT method obtained the results of 1 iteration where there was a transfer of the green pump department (8) and the mason department (9), the transfer obtained the result of reducing the material handling distance with a distance difference of 18 m with an efficiency of 3.27% and a reduction in material handling costs with a cost difference of Rp 1,022,400 with an efficiency of 6.16%. The application of the ARC method obtained the result of the inconsistency of the degree of proximity with the description of the reason between the rinsing tub department (7) and the mason (9) which should be the rinsing tub department (7) to the green pump department (8) which has an absolute relationship according to the workflow sequence, so that there is a displacement between the green pump department and the mason department to match the degree of proximity relationship. Therefore, comparing the CRAFT method and the resulting ARC method is straightforward, where both the green pump department and the mason department are moved from the data input carried out in the CRAFT method and strengthened by the ARC method, with a close relationship between them.

Abstract

Poklahsar "Duta Tongkol" yang berlokasi di Desa Wonosari, Kecamatan Puger, Kabupaten Jember, telah memproduksi tahu tuna dengan merek "As-Syauqi" sejak tahun 2015. Meskipun memiliki potensi pasar yang luas, usaha ini menghadapi kendala dalam hal pengemasan, karena masih menggunakan kemasan mika thinwall yang mudah rusak dan tidak tahan lama saat disimpan di dalam freezer. Dengan kapasitas produksi rata-rata 100 pak per bulan, produk ini dipasarkan di wilayah Jember dan Bondowoso. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu mitra dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengemasan produk melalui penerapan kemasan vakum yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik produk. Tim pengabdian memberikan pelatihan teknis penggunaan alat vacuum sealer, serta mendampingi mitra dalam menyesuaikan pengaturan alat berdasarkan jenis plastik yang digunakan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui demonstrasi langsung dan pendampingan berulang hingga mitra mampu mengoperasikan alat secara mandiri. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kualitas kemasan, daya simpan, dan tampilan produk. Kemasan vakum membuat produk lebih ringkas, kuat, dan tampak profesional, sehingga meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen dan daya saing di pasar lokal. Selain itu, mitra kini memiliki keterampilan teknis yang cukup untuk menggunakan alat tanpa ketergantungan pada pihak luar. Dengan demikian, program ini berhasil meningkatkan mutu produk serta memberdayakan mitra secara praktis. Ke depannya, mitra disarankan untuk terus mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi kemasan vakum dan mengembangkan variasi desain kemasan untuk menjangkau segmen pasar yang lebih luas.

Abstract

The development of information technology, especially in digital marketing, has brought significant changes in how companies interact with consumers and build company brand images, including Perum BULOG Jember Branch. This research aims to increase awareness of the "Beras Kita" brand as BULOG's premium rice product and strengthen the brand's position in the minds of consumers with a brand positioning strategy that includes designing a visual identity, namely designing a new logo and tagline, as well as through a digital marketing strategy for premium rice products. premium at Perum BULOG Jember Branch. This research uses the ME-MCDM (Multi-Expert Multi-Criteria Decision Making) method for selecting logos and taglines and the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method to determine digital marketing strategy priorities. The recommended digital marketing strategy, which has the highest priority, is using local influencers. Implementing this strategy is expected to improve the unfavorable brand image and strengthen the position of the "Beras Kita" brand in the market. Abstract

Green tea production activities at PT Candi Loka indicated a time-consuming, which caused process efficiency to be less than optimal. Process efficiency improvements must be made to increase company competitiveness and consumer satisfaction. This research aimed to analyze the efficiency of green tea production time at PT Candi Loka by identifying the processing time required in each production activity, including the time consumption and formulating recommendations for improvement using a lean manufacturing approach using the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) method. There were 30 activities in 6 processes consisting of receiving raw materials, withering, rolling, drying, and packaging. Identification of value streams using the PAM (Process Activity Mapping) tool produced 9 Value added (VA) activities, 19 Necessary but Non-Value Added (NNVA) activities, and 2 Non-Value Added (NVA) activities in the form of delays in the withering and drying processes. In the current state map analysis, the production lead time value was 315.286 seconds. Recommended improvements to eliminate delays in the withering process were to set up the rotary panner machine earlier and increase the number of supervisors, while to eliminate delays in the drying process were to implement a piece rate system. Increasing efficiency was also carried out by improving NNVA activities by adding weighbridge facilities and using a conveyor system. The future state map proposed by implementing recommended improvements resulted in an increase in production time efficiency to 222.356 seconds and an increase in the process cycle efficiency value from 58.95% to 84.85%.

Abstract

Wulan Coffee Agroindustry is among the coffee-producing centers in Maesan Sub-district, Tanah Wulan Village. This Sub-district is included in the area to apply for certification by the Geographical Indication Protection Society (GIPS) for Hyang Argopuro Arabica Coffee products. Therefore, this research aimed to formulate a strategic recommendation for developing the Wulan Coffee Agroindustry in dealing with GI certification using the SWOT method. The study included identifying internal and external factors, weighting, and strategy analysis using the SWOT method. The results showed that the total score of the IFAS matrix was 1.178 while the EFAS matrix was 0.070, indicating the IE matrix’s position was in the first quadrant of the aggressive strategy. In quadrant I, an aggressive strategy could maximize the strength possessed by Wulan Coffee Agroindustry to deal with existing threats. The aggressive strategy consisted of implementing and maintaining SOP related to sustainable coffee cultivation and production methods, increasing promotional efforts, and branding of monthly coffee products based on GI. This strategy also included certification efforts for export product development, and improvement of coffee agrotourism clusters comprising several stakeholders such as village, sub-district, and the local government of Bondowoso Regency.
