Abstract

The problem of carbon emissions from the transportation sector continues to increase globally and nationally, driving a shift in trends towards the use of more environmentally friendly electric vehicles. However, the adoption of electric cars in Indonesia still faces various challenges, including the dominance of fossil-fueled vehicles and low consumer emotional attachment to new brands. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-image congruence, hedonic motivation, and brand experience on purchase intention with brand attachment as an intervening variable, in the context of potential consumers of the BYD SEAL brand electric vehicle in the Purwokerto area. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data were collected from 160 purposively selected respondents. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that self-image congruence and brand experience have a significant positive effect on brand attachment, while hedonic motivation has no significant effect. Furthermore, purchase intention is significantly influenced by hedonic motivation and brand attachment, but not directly by self-image congruence or brand experience. Brand attachment has been shown to mediate the relationship between self-image congruence and brand experience on purchase intention, but not the relationship between hedonic motivation and purchase intention. This finding supports the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) theoretical framework and emphasizes the importance of emotional attachment to the brand in shaping consumers' purchase intention for electric vehicles.

Abstract

Innovation in the healthcare sector requires hospitals to integrate ethical leadership and modern technology to improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the influence of ethical leadership and technological innovation on the innovative performance of hospital employees in Banjarnegara, and examine the role of attitudes toward good performance as a mediating variable. Innovative performance in this study is understood as the ability of employees to generate, communicate, and implement new ideas that are useful for improving work effectiveness and the quality of hospital services. Using quantitative methods with 342 respondents and PLS-SEM analysis, the study found that ethical leadership significantly influences innovative performance and attitudes toward performing well. Technological innovation does not directly influence innovative performance, but has a significant influence on attitudes toward performing well. In addition, attitudes toward performing well are proven to be the most powerful factor in driving innovative performance. This variable also mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and innovative performance, as well as the relationship between technological innovation and innovative performance. These findings indicate that innovation in healthcare does not solely depend on technology or policies, but on positive employee attitudes formed through ethical leadership and effective technological support. This study provides a practical contribution to hospital management in building an innovative work culture and improving the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

In the modern workplace, efforts to foster innovative employee behavior increasingly depend on leadership quality and individual psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the role of ethical leadership in fostering employee well-being, work engagement, and innovative work behavior in the financial services sector. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to respondents working in conventional and Islamic financial institutions, with a total of 192 respondents eligible for processing. Analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the interrelationships between variables and identify the mediating role of work engagement. The results of the study show that ethical leadership has a positive effect on employee well-being and increases work engagement. Furthermore, work engagement has been shown to act as a psychological mechanism that strengthens the influence of ethical leadership on innovative work behavior. Work well-being also supports increased innovation through more stable and positive psychological drives. This study emphasizes the importance of ethical leadership practices as a foundation for organizations in fostering a healthy work environment and encouraging continuous innovation. These findings provide opportunities for financial institutions to formulate human resource development strategies that are more oriented towards ethics and well-being.

Abstract

The changing ethical demands in modern organizations have driven the importance of ethical leadership as a foundation for creating a healthy and quality work environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ethical leadership on job satisfaction and affective organizational commitment among employees of an Islamic educational institution in Cilacap Regency, as well as to test the role of need for autonomy as a moderating variable and direct predictor. A quantitative approach was used involving 225 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results of the study show that ethical leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction and affective commitment. However, need for autonomy weakened this relationship, indicating that the level of need for autonomy does not change the strength of the influence of leaders' ethical behavior. Nevertheless, the need for autonomy has been shown to have a positive effect on job satisfaction and affective commitment, indicating that the fulfillment of autonomy remains an important factor for employee psychological well-being. These findings provide practical implications for Islamic Education to strengthen the moral role models of leaders and provide proportional autonomy to improve the quality of work and emotional ties of employees to the organization.

Abstract

The transformation towards a sustainable organization requires leaders to be able to instill spiritual and moral values in employees’ behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of spiritual leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior for the Environment (OCBE) with environmental justice orientation as a mediating variable and harmonious environmental passion as a moderating variable in BMT employees. A quantitative approach was used with 190 respondents selected through purposive sampling, and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results of the study show that spiritual leadership does not have a direct effect on OCBE, but has a positive effect on environmental justice orientation. This orientation was proven to play a significant role in mediating the relationship between the two, while harmonious environmental passion was not proven to be a mediator. These findings emphasize the importance of ecological justice values as a moral mechanism that bridges the influence of spiritual leadership on employee pro-environmental behavior. Theoretically, this study enriches Social Learning Theory, while practically provides recommendations for Islamic financial institutions to strengthen spirituality- and morality-based leadership in promoting a green organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, lifestyle, and trust on the intention to use QRIS-based electronic money among Generation Z in Purwokerto. The research employs a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method. The sample size was determined based on Hair’s criteria, namely five times the number of indicators (5 × 22 indicators), resulting in 110 samples, which were then rounded up to 150 respondents to enhance data accuracy. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) 4.0 approach. The results indicate that perceived usefulness and trust have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use QRIS among Generation Z. However, perceived ease of use and lifestyle were found to have no significant effect on this intention. Furthermore, perceived risk was also found to have no significant influence on the intention to use QRIS. This finding is attributed to the high level of digital literacy and self-efficacy among Generation Z, which leads them to perceive risks as tolerable compared to the benefits offered. The implications of this study suggest that financial service providers should focus their development strategies on strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure to maintain user trust and enhancing functional benefit features that support daily transaction efficiency. Theoretically, this study confirms that for digital natives, ease of use is no longer a major barrier due to their high digital literacy capacity. In addition, as QRIS usage has become an inclusive necessity rather than merely a lifestyle symbol, MSME actors are encouraged to provide this system to meet the public’s need for practical daily transactions
