Abstract

Eye health is an essential determinant of quality of life, particularly in rural communities where access to specialized medical services is often limited. This community service program was designed to provide early detection of refractive errors and cataracts through a comprehensive eye health screening conducted in Neglasari Village, Salawu District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The program involved structured coordination with the village government and IROPIN Tasikmalaya, clear task distribution among lecturers, students, and staff, followed by a series of activities including participant registration, anamnesis, refraction examinations, and cataract screening. Findings indicated that most participants presented refractive errors and presbyopia, while smaller proportions were suspected of having cataracts or other visual disorders. This program successfully enhanced community awareness, emphasizing the importance of routine examinations, sustained education, and collaborative health initiatives.

Abstract

Nursing documentation is a critical element in ensuring patient safety, continuity of care, and professional accountability. However, the practice of documentation often encounters multiple challenges, including insufficient training, high workloads, limited resources, and the lack of clear operational guidelines. These barriers can impact the quality of care and patient safety, necessitating an in-depth exploration to understand and address them effectively. This scoping review aims to identify and analyze the factors hindering nursing care documentation, focusing on technical, individual, organizational, and contextual barriers across various healthcare settings. This review includes studies involving nurses and the factors affecting nursing care documentation. The concepts reviewed include barriers to documentation, such as individual, technical, organizational, and contextual obstacles. The context encompasses various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare services across different countries. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. Articles published between January 2020 and December 2024 were assessed using the JBI and MMAT critical appraisal tools. The selection process, based on PRISMA guidelines, identified 15 eligible articles for analysis. Key barriers to nursing documentation include inadequate training, low technological literacy, high workloads, infrastructure limitations, low motivation, and the absence of consistent documentation guidelines. These barriers affect the quality and accuracy of documentation, with implications for patient safety and service efficiency. Additionally, the findings highlight the need for improved supervision, auditing, and investments in documentation technology. Barriers to nursing care documentation require holistic interventions, including continuous training, technological infrastructure enhancement, and the implementation of clear operational guidelines. Further research is needed to explore effective solutions and their applications in diverse contexts.

ABSTRACT The use of gadgets by adolescents without balanced knowledge will impact health. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of gadgets on adolescents so that the impact of using gadgets can be prevented and minimized. This research method uses a literature review. Where in the process of searching for literature in this literature review using Pubmed, Scopus, Proquest, and Google Scholar databases with a range of published years 2019-2024. The search was done using several keywords "Impact" "Gadget" AND "Use". The results found 10 articles that show that excessive use of gadgets above the maximum use limit in adolescents causes various problems including physical health such as headaches, back pain, visual disturbances, neck pain, obesity, cognitive development disorders, and psychological health such as sleep disorders, loneliness, easy emotions and stress. Factors such as the lack of knowledge among adolescents about the time limit of gadget use, teacher control when adolescents are in the school environment and lack of parental control over adolescents in the use of gadgets at home trigger the emergence of gadget use in adolescents above the time limit determined by WHO so that it will cause addiction and impact on adolescent health. Therefore, collaboration between adolescents, families, educational institutions and health institutions is needed to prevent and reduce the impact of gadget use on adolescents.  Keywords: Gadget Addiction, The Impact Of Teen Gadget Use, Teen Health

Abstract

Disasters are events that can threaten and become a disruption to life because they cause environmental damage, material loss, cause human casualties, and cause physical and psychological health problems. One of the psychological problems after a disaster is anxiety in vulnerable groups such as children. Apart from disaster factors, parenting style also influence children's anxiety levels. Parent with increased activity after the eruption causes children's basic needs to not be met, which becomes a post-eruption anxiety stressor. This research aims to determine the relationship of parenting style with anxiety levels in school-age children after the eruption of Mount Semeru in Huntara Lumajang. This research uses a cross sectional method. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach of 84 respondents. Data were collected using the PSDQ questionnaire for the variable parenting style and the Z-SAS questionnaire for the anxiety level variable for school-age children after the eruption. Test the correlation between parenting style and anxiety level in school-age children after the eruption using the contingency coefficient test. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between parenting style variable and the level of anxiety in school-age children after the eruption with p-value=0.002 (a=0.05). Once the correlation between variables is known, the nurse's role can be to take promotive and preventive actions to reduce and minimize anxiety problems in post-eruption children by paying attention to parenting style factors from parents.
