Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on patterns of social interaction, education, and behavior on child development. Children with social development problems need good readiness from their parents in order to carry out their optimal growth functions. Parental readiness is one of the mitigation strategies to reduce the negative impact of COVID-19. The purpose of this research is to explore how parents are prepared for their children's social development after the COVID-19 emergency, in the Jember Regency. This research method uses qualitative research with a phenomenological design involving 7 parents in the Jember Regency area. The research instrument used a design theory from Prochaska, namely the transtheoretical model for parental preparation and Hurlock's theory, namely the ability to behave in accordance with social demands for children's social development. Data analysis used the induction method with specific conclusions drawn for the general public and presented descriptively. Parents have prepared and facilitated children's needs, learning environment, and provided motivation to children in their development period. Some parents admit that they have difficulty adjusting to their child's development. This is different from parents as housewives who have a lot of time with their children who claim that they understand their child's condition and can adapt to their child's development. Parents also provide time for their children to talk about their activities in their environment and limit their use of gadgets and replace them with other games that can stimulate their motor and sensory. The readiness of parents in the social development of children in the post-COVID-19 emergency shows positive results. Parents are well prepared to support their children's social development. Abstract

Stunting has long-term impacts on physical growth, cognitive development, and increased risk of disease in children. In Lumajang Regency, the stunting prevalence in 2024 reached 23.4%, highlighting the need for community-based prevention efforts. This community service aimed to enhance cadres’ capacity in stunting prevention through the utilization of moringa as a local food resource in the agronursing area of Kutorenon Village. The location was selected based on the availability of moringa and the readiness of local health cadres. The program applied an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach with a pre-experimental design (pre-test and post-test) involving 50 cadres. Activities included education, discussion, demonstration, and mentoring in preparing moringa-based healthy foods such as moringa ice cream and nuggets. The results showed a substantial increase in cadres’ knowledge, with mean scores rising from 60 to 88, along with improved practical skills in nutritious food preparation. The program also improved complementary feeding practices at community health posts, contributing to better child nutritional intake as a protective factor against stunting. Evaluation across nine posyandu indicated that six (66.7%) developed sustainable moringa-based menu innovations. This program positively impacted community nutritional behavior and has the potential to reduce stunting risk through improved child nutrition based on local resources.

Abstract

One of the most important factors in raising hospital patient happiness and care quality is effective collaboration among healthcare professionals. Implementing techniques to improve teamwork skills is still fraught with difficulties, though. A lack of policy backing, a lack of resources, and healthcare personnel' aversion to change are the key problems. Health workers' resistance to change, a lack of legislative support, and a lack of resources all make it difficult to maximize team collaboration, which is crucial for providing high-quality care and satisfactory patient outcomes. Therefore, in order to assess the efficacy of collaborative skills training programs and their influence on patient satisfaction, a systematic study is required. A thorough literature review based on major databases was conducted in this investigation. The Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases were searched for relevant literature with a publication span of 2019–2024. The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) were used to assess the gathered papers. Eight pertinent articles were thoroughly examined out of the 885 total that were found. To find important trends in health workers' collaborative skills training tactics and their effects on patient satisfaction, a theme analysis technique was used to examine a few chosen research. Eight publications in all were gathered, and the results demonstrated that online learning and simulation-based training improved health workers' capacity for teamwork. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that clinical supervision and leadership enhance the coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and family-based approaches significantly affect patient satisfaction. This study recommends hospitals include these evidence-based training tactics into postoperative care protocols to enhance team efficacy and overall patient experience, notwithstanding implementation hurdles such time restrictions and managerial support. Enhancing interdisciplinary teamwork through structured collaborative training can improve patient outcomes and satisfaction while also enhancing the quality of treatment. This method encourages teamwork and collaborative decision-making while promoting integrated, holistic care in nursing. Improved care quality, enhanced team communication, and a patient-centered approach involving families are among the health implications. These tactics benefit patients and healthcare professionals alike, improving clinical results, patient safety, and general satisfaction.

Abstract

Adolescent obesity represents a significant global health issue escalating in both developed and developing countries, including Indonesia, with impacts on non-communicable disease risks and psychosocial disorders. The complexity of its causes requires a holistic approach via the Socio-Ecological Model (SEM), integrating individual, social, environmental, and policy factors. This study aims to identify and analyze these factors influencing adolescent obesity incidence. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by PRISMA 2020 was employed, searching PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar (2020–2024) using keywords on adolescent obesity, socio-ecological model, and risk factors. From 2,530,000 initial articles, screening of titles, abstracts, and full texts yielded 12 high-quality articles for synthesis. Synthesis revealed individual-level factors such as high-calorie low-fiber diets, low physical activity, sedentary behavior, academic stress, and poor self-regulation contribute to elevated BMI in adolescents. Social factors include family parenting styles, peer influence, and social media; environmental aspects encompass limited healthy food access, fast food dominance, and scarce sports facilities; policy measures like unhealthy food marketing regulations and sugary drink taxes remain suboptimal in developing countries. In conclusion, adolescent obesity arises from multidimensional SEM interactions, necessitating comprehensive multilevel prevention interventions involving families, schools, communities, and government policies for sustained effectiveness.
