Abstract

Abstract : The Effect Of Teaching Critical Thinking Skill Through Problem Solving Technique Toward Students’ Writing Skill In Stkip Adzkia Padang. This research was aimed to find out the effect of teaching Critical Thinking Skill through Problem Solving technique toward students’ writing skill of Analytical Exposition text in STKIP Adzkia Padang. This research was a quasi-experimental research. It was conducted at STKIP Adzkia Padang. The population of this research was the students at fifth semester of PGSD which consisted of three classes in academic year 2014/2015 who was totally ninety two students. The instrument that was used for this research was writing. T-test analysis was used in analyzing the data. The result of this research revealed that: the students who were taught by Critical thinking Skill through Problem Solving Technique were better than students who were taught by brainstorming technique toward students’ writing skill. Based on findings, it was be concluded that Critical Thinking skill through Problem Solving technique gave significant effect on students’ writing skill.  Keywords : Critical Thinking Skill through Problem Solving Technique,                    Writing Skill

Abstract

This research aims to improve higher education writing achievement through a ground-breaking experimental investigation of problem-based learning and technological integration. Motivated by recognized issues in English education at Adzkia University, where students struggle with weaknesses in paragraph building, idea production, and organizational skills, our research strives to reshape the landscape of writing training. Our study pioneers a unique departure from previous techniques by recognizing instructional methodology and technology as critical elements. Problem-based learning and technological integration emerge as dynamic alternatives, promising a paradigm shift in how writing skills are developed in higher education. The instruments that were used for this research were writing tests. T-test analysis was used in analyzing the data. Our findings from T-test analysis show that students exposed to problem-based learning and technology significantly improve their writing proficiency, exceeding their counterparts in traditional education. In summary, this study drives the conversation on educational technique, asking institutions to embrace the dynamic integration of problem-based learning and technology. The findings not only demonstrate the effectiveness of this novel strategy, but also herald a new age in higher education in which writing prowess becomes an empowered manifestation of student accomplishment.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji pentingnya mengakomodasi perbedaan individu dalam pendidikan, mencakup intelegensi, bakat, dan gaya belajar. Setiap individu memiliki potensi dasar yang perlu dikembangkan melalui metode pengajaran yang sesuai. Intelegensi melibatkan kemampuan berpikir rasional dan adaptasi lingkungan, sementara bakat adalah kemampuan potensial yang memerlukan pengembangan. Gaya belajar terdiri dari visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Pentingnya kebijakan pendidikan yang fleksibel dan inklusif ditekankan untuk memastikan setiap peserta didik berkembang sesuai potensinya, memberikan pendidikan yang adil dan efektif. Intelegensi, bakat, dan gaya belajar adalah aspek penting yang harus diperhatikan oleh pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan. Dengan memperhatikan perbedaan ini, kita dapat memastikan bahwa setiap individu mendapatkan kesempatan yang adil untuk berkembang sesuai dengan potensinya, mencapai kesuksesan akademik, dan berkontribusi positif dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pembelajaran yang kurang menggali pemikiran siswa, rendahnya tingkat kreativitas belajar peserta didik, proses pembelajaran yang masih dominan menggunakan metode ceramah, serta kurangnya pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kreativitas belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS Sekolah Dasar. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada eksplorasi mendalam mengenai bagaimana model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan kreativitas belajar peserta didik secara signifikan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan eksploratif. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen Design. Sampel penelitian 55 peserta didik yang diambil menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan modul pembelajaran dan angket berpikir kreatif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kreativitas belajar peserta didik. Penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri mendorong siswa untuk aktif berpartisipasi dan mengeksplorasi pengetahuan mereka, sehingga mendukung pengembangan ide-ide kreatif. Hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPAS, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kreativitas belajar siswa. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada pembuat kebijakan pendidikan dan pihak sekolah untuk memprioritaskan penerapan model inkuiri sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna.

Abstract

This research was motivated by several problems, namely learning only using textbooks and delivering material using the lecture method. Based on these problems, an inquiry model-based powerpoint learning media was developed in integrated thematic learning in grade IV elementary schools on theme 3 sub-themes 1 learning 1 and 2. This research was conducted at SDN 19 Sitiung, Dharmasraya Regency. The purpose of this research is to produce valid, practical and effective learning media. The type of this research is research and development (R&D) using a 4-D model (define, design, development, disseminate. The data collection instrument in this study is a learning media validation sheet (for design, language, and material experts), practicality tests, and effectiveness test.The results of the validation test for developing PowerPoint learning media based on the Inquiry model with 4 validators were categorized as very valid, the results from the practicality test by one educator and eleven students were categorized as very practical, and the results of the effectiveness test by eleven students were categorized as very The level of validity obtained by the results of the validity test is the percentage of design feasibility (90.6%), language percentage (85%), material percentage 1 (91.6%) and material percentage 2 (93.3%). by educators get an average value (100%) and practicality test by students get an average value (100%).The results of the effectiveness test of the eleven students scored in learning 1 (93.6%) and learning 2 (92.7%). Proving that the development of PowerPoint learning media based on the Inquiry model in integrated thematic learning in grade 4 SD theme 3 sub-theme 1 learning 1 and 2 is declared valid, practical, effective and feasible to use. The advantages of this product are that it can attract the attention of students, increase students' understanding of the material, and encourage students to be active in learning

Abstract

Education functions to develop abilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation in order to make the nation's life more intelligent. The problem expressed in this research is what character values ​​are seen in the integrated thematic learning process in class V of elementary school. The aim of this research is to see the application of character values ​​in the integrated thematic learning process. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were fifth grade elementary school students. This research data was collected by conducting interviews, distributing questionnaires, documentation and observation. Data analysis in this research consists of four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research were obtained from field research conducted at SDN 05 Jaruai Bungus Teluk Kabung, Padang City, academic year 2021/2022, namely that the dominant character values ​​seen in the integrated thematic learning process in class V at SDN 05 Jaruai Bungus Teluk Kabung, Padang City are character values. religious, honest, caring, responsible and disciplined. Based on research results from the results of the instruments that the author used during the integrated thematic learning process, there were religious character values ​​in 83% of the data, honest character values ​​in 78% of the data, disciplined character values ​​in 75% of the data, responsibility character values ​​in 90%. % data, and caring character values, there are 79% of students' data who apply character values ​​in class V of SDN 05 Jaruai Bungus Teluk Kabung, Padang City. Criteria for applying character values ​​at SDN 05 Jaruai Bungus Teluk Kabung, Padang City. Good character formed from now on will greatly determine the character of the nation in the future. Character will be well formed if that character is always implemented well in students' lives.

Abstract

This research was motivated by several problems, namely the concentration of students on average only centered at the beginning of learning, besides that the media during the learning process was less creative and innovative. Media packaging in schools does not attract students' interest in learning because it is still simple.media prop pop up book.media Pop-up book is paper media which when opened will appear three-dimensional objects. This development produces media that can be applied to the theme of caring for living things for grade IV elementary school. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of pop up book media. This type of research is R&D using a 4-D model (define, design, development, disseminate. The results of design validation obtained a value of 94.2% with very valid criteria. The results of material validation obtained a value of 95.4% with very valid criteria. Results language validation obtained a value of 77% with quite valid criteria. The results of the practicality test of educators scored 98% with very practical criteria. The results of the practicality test of students scored 85.4% with practical criteria. The results of the effectiveness test obtained a value of 87% with very effective criteria So it can be concluded that the pop up book in integrated thematic learning has been declared veryvalid, practical and effective to use.

Abstract

Students’ narrative essay writing skills are still low, the reason to write is not optimal in gulding students whwn learning to write narrative essay. Writing narrative essay’s using teh problem based learning (PBL) model for fourth grade students of SD 47 Koto Lamo, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of narrative essay writing skills integrated thematic learning using teh Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at the pre-writing, writing and post-writing stages in fourth grade elementary school studens. This rsearch uses classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches planning in the arrangement includess 1) research, 2) research subject, 3) time, 4) reserch flaw, 5) planning, 6) implementation, 7) observastion, 8) reflection. The research subject were fourth grade students of studens SDN 47 Koto Lamo, Pesisir Selatan Regency, totalling 16 people, 7 boys adan 9 girls, the learning process wass carried out by researchers, class teachers, and colleaguses as observers. The data were collected using the observation technique of students learning reseach results. The results of the research from it 16 studebts in the first cycle of pre writing stages obtained a techinique of 58,6% with poor criteria (K) and the post writing stage they obtained apersentage of 58,91% with poor criteria (K), while in cycle 2 in the pre writing and writing stages get a persentage of 92,5% with very good criteria (A) and at the post writing stage it gets a persentage of 73,82% (B) this means that the implemenation of integrated thematic laeraning using the problem based learning (PBL) model can inprove narrative essay writing skills students. From the results obtained, it can be conciuded that integrated thematic learning using the problem based learning (PBL) model can improve students narritive writing skills in grade IV SDN 47 Koto Lamo, Pesisir Selatan Regency for this reason, the skills of writing narrative essay in tegreted thematic learning can use theproblem based leraning (PBL) model.

Abstract

The background of the research is the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in elementary school in social studies learning caused by teachers who still dominantly use conventional models. Therefore, this research was conducted in order to provide additional references regarding teaching that is more Student Centered Leaning (SCL) to teachers by comparing and describing the effect of the application of the model. The research used a qualitative approach with a library method or literature study of research journals indexed by SINTA 1-4 in the last 5 years (2019-2023). Data were collected through Google Scholar and DOAJ and then analyzed using stages according to Miles & Huberman. The results of the research when the comparison was carried out showed that this model was dominantly used in 2022 on the island of Java with the object of grade 5 elementary school. The dominant method used is PTK which aims to improve learning outcomes. The effect is to improve academic learning outcomes and results at the LOTS and HOTS levels according to Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. The LOTS level affects the competence of knowledge, understanding and mastery of concepts, then at the HOTS level affects the ability to solve problems, think critically and creatively of students. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the SCL model is effective to be applied to social studies learning in elementary school.
