Abstract

Seorang dosen wajib mengetahui memahami apa yang dinamakan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi sehingga dosen tersebut juga wajib untuk melaksanakan Tridharma tersebut. Selain itu setiap dosen juga wajib memahami bagaiman cara mengisi beban kerja dosen (BKD) yang wajib diisi disetiap akhir semester yang akan dilaporkan secara berkala. Beban kerja dosen (BKD) memakai istilah satuan kredit semester (SKS), dimana jumlah SKS telah ditentukan oleh Dirjen Dikti yaitu minimal 12 SKS dan maksimal 16 SKS disetiap semesternya. Adanya batas maksimal ini untuk mencegah risiko adanya peningkatan beban kerja melebihi kapasitas dan ketentuan, sehingga tim pengabdian (PkM) melaksanakan pelatihan bagaimana cara pengisian beban kerja dosen dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan dosen dalam mengisi beban kerja dosen agar bisa bekerja terukur, terstruktur, dan mampu melaksanakan pelaporan sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu pelatihan serta praktek pengisian beban kerja dosen dengan mitra yaitu dosen program studi Sistem Informasi Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien sebanyak 20 orang dengan evaluasi melalui praktek langsung secara daring dalam pengisian beban kerja dosen. Hasil yang telah dicapai oleh peserta (dosen) setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah 100% telah paham dan mampu mengisi beban kerja dosen (BKD) pada tiap semester.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning on students' critical thinking skills in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Stabat. This study uses a quasi-experimental research type and the design which is used one quivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control-Group Design. The research method which is used  the experimental method using two classes, namely the experimental and control classes. The significance value obtained is 0.000 0.05 so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. The results showed that there was an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' critical thinking skills and was effective for improving several indicators of students' critical thinking skills in the Digestive System subject in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Stabat.

Abstract

Problem-solving is one of the mathematical skills needed by students and plays an important role in helping them achieve conceptual understanding in learning mathematics. On the other hand, self-efficacy is also important because it relates to a person's belief in his ability to complete a task or achieve a goal. Based on this, this study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and problem-solving abilities. To achieve the research objectives, the quantitative correlational method was used in this study. Data collection used a survey method to obtain data self-efficacy and students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data analysis was performed using inferential statistical analysis to prove the research hypothesis. Hypothesis testing includes analysis of correlation, regression, and coefficients of determination. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a moderately positive relationship between self-efficacy and problem-solving abilities. where self-efficacy contributes to problem-solving abilities by 27.8%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and assess the effectiveness of locally wisdom-based instructional videos on computer hardware topics for seventh-grade students at MTs Ar Rahman Wampu, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The research method employed is developmental research, utilizing the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan, encompassing the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The study is conducted at MTs Ar Rahman Wampu over a two-month period, with seventh-grade students randomly selected as research subjects. The object of the study is the instructional video based on local wisdom concerning computer hardware. Research instruments include a video validation sheet, student activity observation sheet, and questionnaires measuring student responses and learning interests. Data analysis involves evaluating the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the instructional video, utilizing percentages and predefined criteria. The subsequent practicality analysis incorporates expert assessments and field observations. The effectiveness of the learning process is assessed through student tests, percentage of activity time, and positive responses to the instructional video. The enhancement of learning interest is measured through normalized gain calculations. The expected outcome of this research is to contribute to the development of innovative and high-quality instructional videos within the context of local wisdom, especially in the field of ICT education at the MTs level. Abstract

Masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah minimnya ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan variatif dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran komputer dan jaringan dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis problem based learning dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Four D model). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TKJ SMK Swasta Muhammad Yaasiin dan objek pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis model problem based learning menggunakan aplikasi canva dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh persentase validitas pengembangan media sebesar “97,3%” dari Ahli Media, “90%” dari Ahli Materi, dan 92% dari Ahli Bahasa yang berada pada kriteria “sangat layak”. Hasil respon siswa terhadap media diperoleh persentase “90,4%” dengan kriteria “sangat baik”. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari hasil persentase nilai pretest sebesar “62,11%” dan posttest sebesar “85,19%”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan valid dan sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, serta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X TKJ di SMK Swasta Muhammad Yaasiin.

Abstract

Masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah minimnya ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang menunjang pembelajaran Multimedia dan kurangnya pengembangan media pembelajaran khususnya pada media pembelajaran menggunakan Power point. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media dan mengetahui kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas multimedia menggunakan model pengembangan Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Development and Disseminate). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X dan objek penelitian ini adalah Multimedia berbasis model Project Based Learning berbasis Power Point. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validasi oleh Ahli Materi tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 76,92% kategori “Layak” kemudian pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 89,23% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media pada tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 73,68% kategori “Layak”, kemudia pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 89,47% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil Validasi oleh ahli bahasa pada tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 78,46% kategori “Layak”, kemudian pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 90,76% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Uji validasi oleh pendidik memperoleh persentase 81,66% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil uji respon siswa skala kecil memperoleh persentase rata-rata 70% dengan kategori “Layak”, dan uji respon siswa skala besar memperoleh persentase rata-rata 75% dengan kategori “Layak”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan merupakan sangat layak, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK).

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian ini berkaitan dengan pengembangan diri guru matematika di Kabupaten Langkat melalui kegiatan Bimbingan Teknis (Bimtek) dalam penulisan proposal dan artikel ilmiah. Metode penelitian meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan guru, perencanaan dan pelaksanaan Bimtek, serta analisis data hasil pelatihan. Guru-guru matematika diundang untuk mengikuti Bimtek yang dikhususkan pada teknik penulisan yang baik dan benar, serta kaidah penulisan proposal dan artikel ilmiah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara untuk efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam penulisan. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan Bimtek ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan diri guru matematika, meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menulis proposal dan artikel ilmiah. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini termasuk perluasan jangkauan kegiatan serupa serta peningkatan kerjasama antar lembaga pendidikan untuk memperkuat pengembangan diri guru matematika di daerah tersebut. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the relationship between basic mathematical abilities and statistical learning outcomes. This study is an explanatory researchs with quantitative correlational research method. The subjects in this study were fifth semester students of the D3 Corporate Management study program, while the objects in this study were students' basic mathematical abilities which included algebra, calculus, and probability and student statistics learning outcomes. The data was collected using a basic mathematical ability test instrument consisting of a test of algebra, calculus and probability material as well as a test of statistical learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Inferential statistical testing using multiple linear regression test. Based on the results of data analysis, there is a positive relationship between basic mathematical abilities (algebra, calculus, and probability) on student statistics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative correlational design using a survey method to collect data on students' critical thinking skills and mathematical resilience. The purpose of the research is to analyze and describe the relationship between mathematical resilience and the critical thinking abilities of fourth-grade students at a public elementary school in Gebang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province, involving a sample of 24 students. The study was conducted during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research instruments used include a critical thinking skills test and a mathematical resilience questionnaire. Data analysis techniques employed in this study consist of descriptive and inferential statistics to examine the relationship between mathematical resilience and students' critical thinking abilities. The hypothesis tests utilized include correlation analysis, regression analysis, and regression coefficients. The findings indicate that mathematical resilience contributes to students' critical thinking skills, showing a positive relationship of moderate strength. Specifically, the regression analysis reveals that mathematical resilience accounts for 22.5% of the variance in the critical thinking abilities of the fourth-grade students.

Abstract

Mathematical conceptual understanding is a fundamental skill that serves as a foundation for more advanced abilities, including reasoning, communication, connections, and problem-solving. However, this foundational skill is influenced by students’ prior mathematical abilities. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify and describe differences in students’ mathematical conceptual understanding based on their prior mathematical abilities. This research employs a mixed-method approach, involving 87 purposively selected students enrolled in the Analytic Geometry in Planes and Space course. The research instruments include a mathematical conceptual understanding test and documentation of students’ prior mathematical abilities. Data were analyzed quantitatively using one-way ANOVA and qualitatively by exploring mathematical conceptual understanding across categories of prior mathematical abilities. The findings reveal that both quantitative and qualitative analyses indicate that students with high prior mathematical abilities demonstrate superior mathematical conceptual understanding compared to those with medium or low prior mathematical abilities.
