Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the guided inquiry learning model in physics learning through the overall effect size, based on the dependent variable and region. This research uses a descriptive method with a meta-analysis approach to the results of scientific research publications in national electronic journals. There are 11 national journals that fit the research category. The results showed that overall learning using the guided inquiry model could improve students' physics learning outcomes with the effect size of 0.487 from the control group. Meanwhile, based on the distribution of regions in Indonesia, an average effect size of 0.527 is obtained and based on the dependent variable an effect size is obtained of 0.425. These three results indicate a large effect size guided inquiry learning model in physics learning. This shows that the guided inquiry learning model can provide a more effective effect and is suitable for use in learning physics.

Abstract

The experiment of determining the value of the Planck constant using Simulation Based Laboratory is done in order to compare the value of the Planck constant in theory to the value of the Planck constant through experimentation. This experiment wpas done using PhET simulations. Photoelectric effect is an event where when a beam or photon is worn on a substance, it will release the electron and the electric current. In the equation of photoelectric effect, the most important is a constant, the Planck constant. The result of the experiment obtained the Planck constant value is J. s with a relative error of 0.15%, while based on the theory of the value of the constant Planckis J. S can be concluded that the results of the experiment carried out close to the theory.

Abstract

. The purpose of this research to analize the influence mind map method concerning the result of studying science with controling the student’s ability in the beginning. This research used experiment method with analize ANAKOVA. The sample which is used for this research are the students in VIII SMP with 60 students which spread in VIII.E and VIII.F class of SMPN 275 Jakarta. The results of this research are: First, controlling influence the students’  ability in the beginning, there is difference result of studying science which is significant between the students who study by using mind map method and using conventional method. (Fhitung = 12,01 > Ftabel = 4,01) Second, controlling influence the students’  ability in the beginning, the result of study science, The students who study by using mind map method is better than using conventional method (thitung = 3,345 > ttabel = 1,672).

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the influences of parent’s guiding and students’ learning habit as the results of science study. This study used survey method with double regretion analysis. The total number of samples as many as 200 respondents from grade VII of SMPN at Cimanggis District Depok on academic year of 2010/2011. The data were analyzed wih descriptive statitistics, data analysis, and test hypotheses used with double regretion. With the hypothesis test, which gave the results: 1) parents guiding give positive effects and significance result to out put of learning science class. 2) learning habit gives positive effect and significance to out put of leaming science class. 3) Then using double regresion analysis, it was gotten conclusion that there are positive effect and significance from both of parents guiding and also students’ learning habit to result of learning from science class. Based on that, so much better of parents guiding and much better students’ learning habit that will be done both of them, so much better their result of science class.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the result of studying science using two stays two strays (TSTS) learning method by controlling the students’ ability in the beginning. This research used the experimental method with ANAKOVA analysis. The sample used is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 242 Jakarta with 60 students’ divided into control and experimental class with each totaling 30 samples. The results of this research are: First, controlling influence the students’ ability, in the beginning, there is difference result of studying science which is significant between the students who study by using two stays two stray and using conventional method (Fhitung = 15,05 > Ftabel = 4,01). Second, controlling influence the students’ ability, in the beginning, the result of study science, the students who study by using stay two stray is better than using conventional model (thitung = 3,892 > ttabel = 1,672).

Abstract

The research was intended to proof and analyse some factors that influence the succses of field teaching program for the students of Technic Faculty, athematics and Science in University of Indraprasta PGRI. The method used in this research was survey method with multiple regresive technique. The result show that 1) there was an effect in the role of teacher and lecturer in group with average succsess 2) there was not an effect in teacher role to the success of students field teaching program, 3) there was an effect in the role of lecturer to the success of students field teaching program. Abstract

The study was dones in order to prove and verify the influence of parent’s ducation level and parenting style of student’s scisnce learning achievement. The study was conducted at the junior high school students in Kecamatan Periuk, Tangerang, Banten in 2012. The method used in this study is the ekspostfacto a sample of 108 students. From the results obtained: 1) there is the influence of parent’s education level of student’s science learning achievement, 2) there is the influence of parenting style of parents of student’s science learning achievement, and 3) There was no interaction effect of level of education and upbringing of parent of achievement students learn science.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the module development process, the feasibility of the module and the response of students to the development of scientific-based thermodynamics learning modules with the help of a qr code. In this case, the qr code serves as a link to access various learning videos, as well as questions in the learning module. The method used in this research is research and development. The model used is a 4-D model. The development of the 4-D model consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The scientific-based thermodynamics learning module assisted by qr code was declared feasible to use with validation from material experts 90.97% with very reasonable interpretation, media experts 77.50% proper interpretation and linguistic experts 92.50% very proper interpretation. And the response test was 30 students with a score of 87.20% in the very good category.

Abstract

The low achievement of learning physics with monotonous learning media makes learning physics boring and requires innovation of learning media that attracts students to support learning activities. The learning media innovation that has been developed is an Android-based learning media created using the Smart Apps Creator software by presenting text, images and videos. This study aims to develop android-based learning media on optical instrument material for high school students and to determine the feasibility of android-based learning media on optical instrument material for high school students and determine student responses to android-based learning media on optical instrument material for high school students. The research method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The results of this study obtained an average expert validation score of 84% by media experts, 76.67% by material experts and 83.33% by linguists. So that obtained an average total of 81.33% with a very good category and suitable for use as a learning media. The response of students to this android-based learning media obtained an average score of 82.23% with a very good category and suitable for use.

Abstract

This program is aimed to increase teacher competency through PhET simulation training. This activity is expected to be used as reference material for teachers to implement practical simulations that caused by time constraints and incomplete laboratory facilities and laboratory facilities. Community service activities are carried out using training, discussion, and mentoring methods. Based on the results of this program, 76.9% of the training participants really need knowledge of laboratory management. The trainees looked at the PhET simulation material as very relevant to the field of physics. This is proofed by a response of 76.9% which states that the PhET simulation material is very relevant to learning physics. The trainees also rated very well (92.3%) the benefits of the knowledge of the use of this media in the physics learning process. This training can be reference for trainees to carry out practicum activities virtually in their respective schools. The trainees found of that PhET simulation easy to understand. This condition can be seen from the results of a survey which stated that 92.3% of the training participants answered that it was easy to understand this material.Keywords: Phet Simulation, Physics, Teacher Competency Improvement, Virtual Laboratory.ABSTRAK Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan PhET simulation. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan rujukan bagi guru untuk menerapkan simulasi praktikum yang disebabkan oleh keterbatasan waktu dan belum lengkapnya prasarana dan sarana laboratorium praktikum. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan, diskusi, dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil program ini, 76,9% peserta pelatihan sangat membutuhkan pengetahuan pengelolaan laboratorium. Peserta pelatihan memandang materi PhET simulation sangat relevan dengan bidang fisika. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan respon sebesar 76,9% yang menyatakan bahwa materi PhET simulation sangat relevan dengan pembelajaran fisika. Peserta pelatihan juga menilai sangat baik (92,3%) terhadap manfaat pengetahuan penggunaan media ini pada proses pembelajaran fisika. Pelatihan ini bisa menjadi acuan bagi peserta pelatihan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum secara virtual di sekolah masing-masing. Peserta pelatihan menilai PhET simulation mudah dipahami. Kondisi ini terlihat dari hasil survei yang menyatakan 92,3% peserta pelatihan menjawab mudah dalam memahami materi ini.Kata Kunci: Phet Simulasi, Fisika, Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru, Laboratorium Virtual
