Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan dapat mengoptimalisasikan pengetahuan dan pemberdaayaan masyarakat di Desa Permis dalam mengembangkan kawasan Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Gunung Permisan sebagai kawasan ekowisata secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu dengan cara sosialiasi secara langsung kepada masyakat dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa TWA Gunung Permisan memiliki potensi untuk dapat dikembangkan menjadi kawasan ekowisata berdasarkan potensinya. Hal ini juga didukung dengan antusiasnya masyarakat desa dalam mengelola lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Perlunya kolaborasi dalam mengembangan kawasan TWA Gunung Permisan sehingga secara bersama-sama dapat menjadi pelopor konservasi, mempertahankan identitasi sosial budaya masyakat, dan menjadi salah satu penompang dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Pengabdian ini secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat dalam mengelola potensi sumberdaya alam; menumbuhkan mindset untuk berkolaborasi membentuk suatu komunitas yang berpotensi dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat; dan adanya inisiatif pembentukkan kelompok masyarakat sadar wisata sebagai upaya pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan

Abstract

Abstract Pepper farmers in Bangka Belitung are currently facing various challenges and obstacles when the economic conditions are getting more difficult. The local government has provided many programs so that this problem can be resolved including the provision of free seeds, warehouse receipt systems and pest and disease control. However, the program has not been able to be utilized optimally by pepper farmers. This community empowerment program is here to provide knowledge strengthening in utilizing programs from the government as an effort to improve the welfare of pepper farmers and the general public. Therefore, this program offers a solution in the form of community empowerment, especially for pepper farmers to strengthen the capacity of human resources at Gapoktan institutions in managerial terms such as strengthening the function of the organizational structure and detailing the duties and responsibilities of members in the organization. In addition, this program can empower farmers in creating added value for pepper commodities that can provide social and financial benefits to beneficiaries. This program is able to contribute to reducing the problems faced by pepper farmers. Abstrak Petani lada di Bangka Belitung saat ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan dan kendala disaat kondisi perekenomian semakin sulit. Pemerintah daerah telah memberikan banyak program agar masalah ini dapat teratasi diantaranya pemberian benih gratis, sistem resi gudang dan pengendalian hama dan penyakit. Meskipun demikian, progam tersebut masih belum mampu dimanfaatkan oleh petani lada secara optimal. Program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini hadir untuk memberikan penguatan pengetahuan dalam memanfaatkan program dari pemerintah sebagai upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani lada dan masyarakat umumnya. Oleh sebab itu, program ini menawarkan solusi berupa pemberdayaan masyarakat khususnya kepada petani lada untuk menguatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia pada lembaga gapoktan dalam hal manajerial seperti penguatan fungsi struktur organisasi serta perincian tugas dan tanggung jawab anggota dalam organisasi. Selain itu, program ini dapat memberdayakan petani dalam penciptaan nilai tambah pada komoditas lada yang dapat memberikan keuntungan sosial dan finansial kepada penerima manfaat. Program ini mampu memberikan sumbangsih kepada pengurangan masalah yang dihadapi oleh petani lada.

Abstract

Mount Permisan Natural Tourism Park, South Bangka regency is a conservation area that contains flora and fauna. The diversity of fauna in conservation areas is important to note because fauna can maintain the balance of natural ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the diversity of species and the effect of habitat characteristics on the Odonata population. Odonata sampling was carried out using an insect net randomly at a predetermined point in the left and right directions of the 100 m transect line. Identification was carried out at the Entomology Laboratory, Agricultural Quarantine Center Pangkalpinang, and compared with a comparison sample at the Zoology Laboratory, Biology Department, Universitas Bangka Belitung. Based on the research that has been done, found 14 species of Odonata from the sub-order Anisoptera and 11 species of damselfishes from the sub-order Zygoptera. The species diversity at that location was classified as moderate because H' was 1.56 to 2.05. The evenness value is high with a value of 0.62 to 0.90. The species of wealth (Margalef) is in the range of values from 2.55 to 2.75 which indicates the species richness of dragonflies in the Mount Permisan Natural Tourism Park index is classified as moderate.

Abstract

Lamun merupakan tumbuhan berbunga (Angiospermae) yang memiliki rhizoma daun dan akar sejati yang dapat hidup terendam di dalam air laut. Gastropoda merupakan anggota moluska, dimana sebagian besar memiliki tubuh yang dilindungi oleh cangkang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelimpahan dan pola sebaran gastropoda pada ekosistem padang lamun pesisir Pulau Semujur Kabupaten Bangka Tengah, Bangka Belitung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada perairan Pulau Semujur Kabupaten Bangka Tengah dengan empat titik arah mata angin sekitar Pulau Semujur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode transek kuadrat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian gastropoda yang ditemukan sbanyak 9 famili dengan 19 spesies dan total seluruh individu sebanyak 1183 individu. Jenis gastropoda yang memiliki jumlah individu terbanyak adalah Cerithium traillii yang berjumlah 137 individu. Indeks keanekaragaman gastropoda di Pulau Semujur termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Pola sebaran gastropoda secara keseluruhan dengan kategori mengelompok. Jumlah spesies dan jumlah individu makroalga dipengaruhi oleh parameter fisik-kimia perairan yang meliputi kecepatan arus, suhu air dan salinitas. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa keanekaragaman gastropoda dengan padang lamun saling berhubungan dan dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor fisika kimia lingkungan tersebut.Kata kunci: Gastropoda; keanekaragaman; lamun; pola sebaran; Pulau SemujurAnalysis of Gastropod Habitat in Seagrass Ecosystems in the Waters of Semujur Island, Bangka BelitungABSTRACTSeagrass are flowering plants (Angiospermae) which has rhizoma leaves and true roots that can live submerged in sea water. Gastropods are members of mollusks, which the most body parts are protected by shell. This study aim is to analyze the abundance and distribution patterns of gastropods in the seagrass ecosystem of the coast of Semujur Island, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung. This research was conducted located in Semujur Island, Central Bangka Regency, four winds points of compass around the island. Quadratic transect method is used for this research. Based on the results of research found 9 families with 19 species and a total of 1183 individuals gastropods. Cerithium traillii (Sowerby II, 1855) is the highest number individuals founded which amount up to 137 individuals. Gastropod diversity index in Semujur Island is included to the medium category. Overall distribution pattern of gastropods with clustered categories The number of species and individual macroalgae are affected by the physical-chemical parameters of waters which include stream speed, temperature and pH. The results of this study prove that the diversity of gastropods with seagrass beds is interconncted and can be related by physical and chemical environmental factors.Keywords: Distribution pattern; diversity; gastropods; seagrass; Semujur Island

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada ketiga pulau kecil yang ada di Bangka Belitung yaitu Pulau Putri, Pulau Panjang dan Pulau Semujur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman bivalvia dan gastropoda berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing pulau. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Purposive sampling dengan teknik transek garis yang dilakukan pengambilan garis tegak lurus terhadap garis pantai. Stasiun terdiri dari 3 stasiun dengan 5 plot pencuplikan yang dibuat kerangka kuadran berukuran 50×50cm2 dengan jumlah total daerah pencuplikan adalah 15 masing-masing pulau. Analisis data menggunakan rumus keanekaragaman Shannon Wiener. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parameter fisik dan kimia pada lingkungan ketiga pulau tergolong baik dengan suhu rata-rata 31,9℃, pH 7,395 dan salinitas 4,15%. Keanekaragaman Gastropoda lebih besar daripada keanekaragaman Bivalvia. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya 21 spesies gastropoda di Pulau Putri, 18 spesies gastropoda di Pulau Panjang, dan 7 spesies gastropoda di Pulau Semujur sedangkan bivalvia 20 spesies di Pulau Putri, 13 spesies di Pulau Panjang, dan 2 spesies di Pulau Semujur. Famili dari kelas Gastropoda yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Cerithiidae. Berdasarkan parameter yang diukur pada lokasi penelitian dan adanya perbedaan karakteristik dari ketiga pulau menyebabkan adanya perbedaan keanekaragaman gastropoda dan bivalvia, seperti di Pulau Putri yang didominasi oleh rataan terumbu karang yang sangat luas dan rapat dengan substrat berupa pasir, yang mana kondisi tersebut mempengaruhi tingginya keanekaragaman gastropoda dan bivalvia. Adapun di Pulau Panjang di dominasi oleh ekosistem lamun dengan tipe substrat yang lumpur berpasir, keberadaan lamun dapat menjadi sumber nutrisi serta habitat bagi moluska hal tersebut yang menyebabkan tingginya keanekaragaman gastropoda dan bivalvia. Adapun Kondisi lingkungan di Pulau Semujur di dominasi oleh ekosistem lamun dengan substrat berpasir, serta terdapat pemukiman warga, banyaknya aktivitas seperti rekreasi, memancing dan eksplorasi serta pengambilan fauna untuk koleksi pribadi di Pulau tersebut menyebabkan rendahnya keanekaragaman gastropoda dan bivalvia.

Abstract

Tumbuhan pangan banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat tidak terkecuali masyarakat disekitar Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Permisan. TWA Gunung Permisan memiliki lima bukit yaitu Bukit Nenek, Bukit Nangka, Bukit Meninjen Tua, Bukit Meninjen Muda dan Bukit Jering dengan luas ±3.149,69 ha. Tumbuhan pangan dikelompokkan menjadi sayur, buah, makanan pokok, makanan tambahan, minuman dan bumbu masak. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi serta menganalisis permanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai bahan pangan berdasarkan pemanfaatan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Permisan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Permisan, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi langsung bersama informan kunci dengan menggunakan metode snawball sampling. Adapun hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan 67 jenis dari 33 famili tumbuhan pangan yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat disekitar TWA Permisan. Tumbuhan dengan nilai RFC paling tinggi ialah Durio zibethinus dengan nilai 0,072 dan nilai ICF yang paling tinggi pada kategori buah dengan nilai 0,72. Famili Myrtaceae ialah famili yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan yaitu 10 spesies. Upaya konservasi terhadap tumbuhan pangan yang ditemukan perlu dilakukan untuk menjaga ekosistem yang ada di TWA Permisan.

Abstract

The people of South Bangka Regency have been well-known for using plants as traditional medicine and applied it in their daily life, but the information about the indigenous medical system the limited written of documentation. This study aimed to describe the types of medicinal herbs, analyze the medicinal herbs used as traditional medicine, and discover the conservational effort practiced by the Malays which is the local ethnic of South Bangka Regency. The study employed a quantitative method with field observation techniques, interviews, and herbs identification. The data were analyzed using the ethnomedicinal quantitative method. The results showed that there were 117 species of medicinal herbs with 57 families, while the most frequently used herb was Areca catechu with the results of UV (0.16), FL (16.22), and RFC (0.004). On the important family value (FIV), the most frequently used herb was the Myrtaceae family with 9 species, followed by Poaceae with 8 species. One of the conservation efforts of medicinal plants is by conducting cultivation to help prevent extinction in their natural habitat.

Abstract

South Bangka Regency has a long history of using medicinal plants as part of its medical system. However, the potential associated with this aspect of traditional medicine remains understudied and poorly explored. This study aimed to describe the types of medicinal plants and analyze the use of medicinal plants to treat early childhood disease by the local community of South Bangka Regency. The research method used was open interview with local people using the questionnaires. The data was analyzed using Use Value (UV), Fidelity Level (FL), and Relative Frequency of Citation (RFC). The analysis identified 55 plant species from 35 families. The most common families were Euphorbiaceae (8.92%), Fabaceae (7.14%), Poaceae (7.14%), Zingiberaceae (5.36%), and Lamiaceae (5.36%). The most widely used plant was shallot plants (Allium cepa L.) with values of UV, FL, and RFC were 0.67, 66.67, and 0.015, respectively. This study revealed the richness of ethnomedicinal knowledge in the South Bangka Regency. Finally, it is expected that this ethnobotany study can provide a database for further scientific research. The community’s knowledge as a legacy will not be repeated if it is not inherited. Besides, this biodiversity is very important as a socio-economic and ecological asset in South Bangka Regency which must be protected by all means from over exploitation.

Abstract

Shade trees have enormous benefits for the urban environment, both ecologically and economically. The level of tree health is important as an ingredient in determining management decisions that will be carried out so that the sustainability of road shade trees remains consistent and maintained. This study aims to inventory shade tree species and analyze the health level of shade trees in the protocol roads of Pangkalpinang City. The research method used the Forest Health Monitoring method. Based on the results of the study, 12 types of shade trees were found in six main streets of Pangkalpinang City with a total of 849 individuals. The most common types of shade trees found were mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni) with 372 individuals (43.82%) and angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) with 296 individuals (34.86%). The health level of shade trees on the Pangkalpinang City protocol road was still dominated by shade trees with a healthy category of 516 individuals (61.36%). Shade trees with light damage category were 175 individuals (20.81%), moderate damage were 66 individuals (7.85%) individuals and severe damage were 84 individuals (9.98%). It can be concluded that the condition of the shade trees in Pangkalpinang City was quite well maintained since the shade trees were still in the healthy category.
