This research was carried out using descriptive qualitative research methods, for data collection a questionnaire was distributed via google form, with a sample of mathematics education students who were active and learning online in the 2020/2021 academic year. The instrument used in this study is a closed questionnaire, where respondents just choose the answers that are already available. The results showed that the perception of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Unram towards the online learning process in the 2020/2021 academic year was categorized as good with a percentage of 79.13%. Meanwhile, students' perceptions of abilities after online learning are in good category with a percentage of 70.44%. Based on the results of the percentage scores for each indicator of the perception of the online learning process and the ability after online learning, there are several things that must be maintained and developed in online learning at the Unram Mathematics Education Study Program, namely 1). Lecturers always provide learning materials or materials. 2). The material provided by the lecturer is in the form of modules or textbooks. 3). The material presented online is in accordance with the lecture/RPS contract. 4). The online learning process is carried out using the Google Meet application. 5). Students find it easier to use the Google Meet application in the online learning process. 6). Students always do the assignments given by the lecturer. 7). Lecturers always check student attendance. 8). Lecturers give additional value to students who actively ask and answer in the online learning process. 9). Lecturers always provide opportunities for students to ask questions and discuss. 10). Lecturers respond to questions that arise during the online lecture process. 11). Lecturers provide feedback by asking students questions related to the material that has been studied.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical investigation abilities on number pattern material in terms of gender differences. This type of research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative with the instruments used in the form of mathematical investigation test questions, and interview guidelines. Subject selection using purposive sampling, which is based on the teacher's considerations. The subjects in this study were students of class IX-A of SMPN 1 Mataram for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 32 students. The test results were analyzed for each item based on the ability of mathematical investigation including specializing, conjecturing, generalizing and justifying. The results showed that the mathematical investigation ability of female students as many as 10 students (62.5%) were able to work on the four stages, the three-stage category was 2 students (12.5%), the two-stage category was 3 students (18.75%), and one-stage category as many as 1 student (6.25%). While the mathematical investigation ability of male students as many as 8 students (50%) were able to work on all four stages, the three-stage category was 3 students (18.75%), the two-stage category was 5 students (31.25%). In this study, interviews were conducted with 6 students from each representative of each criterion of the mathematical investigation ability test results, namely 3 male students and 3 female students. The difference between male and female students lies in the generalizing and justifying stage where female students complete neatly, thoroughly and test the general pattern for the special case they are working on while the male students complete in a short way.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving students of seventh-grade students in SMPN 24 Mataram the academic 2020/2021, it is solving comparative material story questions in terms of gender differences. This study is descriptive research. The sampling technique used was a population research technique and the research subjects selected in this study were 6 class VII students of SMPN 24 Mataram, consisting of 2 high-ability students, 2 moderately capable students, and 2 low-ability students. The data collection techniques used tests and interviews. The results obtained in this study there are differences in errors made by male and female students, while the most mistakes in the types of understanding error with a percentage of 75,48% in the high category. Meanwhile, female students made the most mistakes in the types of process skill errors with an error percentage of 62,11% high category. It is because at the stage of understanding many male students do not write down what they know and asked in the question, as the same time many female students do not know the correct completion procedure because they do not know the formula/method used to continue solving the problem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the level of mathematical literacy ability of class VIII MTsN 1 Mataram based on gender. The research is quantitative desciptive research which method are used to describe, explain various variabel in the study as expressed the documentary materials. The assessment system in this study uses 2 methods, namely mathematical literacy and analytical problem solving. Mathematical literacy has 6 (six) levels in measurement and consists of three aspects, namely content, context, and cognitive aspects, while for assessment using analytical problem solving there are 3 (three) levels, namely low, medium and high. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of mathematical literacy test questions that had been approved by 3 validators. Based on the results of the research, the level of mathematical literacy skills, based on mathematical literacy female dominant at level 3 which means that students are able to apply the basic algorithm, formulate and carry out the procedure and can select and apply strategies to solve simple and the mathematical literacy skills of male students are dominant at level 2 which means that students are able to apply the basic algorithm, formulate and carry out the procedure. Based on analytical problem solving students' mathematical literacy skills are at low and medium levels where female mathematical literacy skills are higher compared to male. Bassed t-test 2 sampel independent mathematical literacy ability male and female doesn’t have a significant difference.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to solve social arithmetic problems in terms of impulsive and reflective cognitive styles. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were class VIII MTs Al-Khairiah NW Rajek in the 2020/2021 school year. Data collection techniques using tests and interviews. The test in question is a cognitive style test using the Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), and a problem-solving ability test. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical problem solving abilities with impulsive cognitive style require less time to answer questions. Impulsive cognitive style students at the stage of understanding the problem, many students do not understand the questions well, at the stage of making plans, implementing plans, and at the stage of looking back students have not been able to solve problems well, students are still careless in determining formulas, not careful in counting, rushing rush in solving questions, do not re-check the answers. The mathematical problem solving ability of students with reflective cognitive style takes a long time to answer questions. Students with reflective cognitive style at the stage of understanding the problem, making plans have been able to solve the problem well, at the stage of implementing the plan some students are still wrong in counting, while at the stage of looking back reflective students do not check back on the answer sheet.
