Abstract

Kegiatan yang dilakukan didasari oleh permasalahan yang ada di SMK N 1 Sutera. Diantaranya kemampuan guru dalam mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Hal ini secara tidak langsung berdampak terhadap kompetensi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi dengan pihak SMK N 1 Sutera terhadap permasalahan yang ada, maka solusi yang dilakukan adalah mengadakan pelatihan untuk guru-guru mengenai aplikasi mikrokontroller. Hal ini juga berkaitan dengan beberapa mata pelajaran yang ada berdasarkan kurikulum yang digunakan. Topik pembahasan pada pelatihan adalah aplikasi dari mikrokontroller menggunakan perangkat RFID dalam mengendalikan beban kelistrikan. Kegiatan pelatihan juga menghasilkan Trainer aplikasi dari mikrokontroller berupa trainer dasar RFID. Trainer ini dapat digunakan oleh guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Plastic injection machine is a plastic product making machine with an injection molding process. Plastic injection machines at PT Shimano Batam currently cannot be monitored automatically. Therefore, a system is needed that monitors and stores all data about the performance of the plastic injection machine automatically. In this system Arduino Uno is used as a microcontroller of the plastic injection machine signal and the Xbee Pro S2C module is used as a sender and receiver of data packets from the plastic injection machine, the data is processed and then displayed on a PC and stored on the server. The test results of this system show that the machine status data matches the data displayed on the PC. From the results of testing the engine cycle time as much as 11 times, there is the largest difference in processing time, which is 1.20 seconds. From the results of reliability testing, packet loss was obtained by 0.006%. Xbee Pro S2C communication testing with a distance of 1 meter to 60 meters was successful without any data packets lost, when testing Xbee Pro S2C communication with a distance of 85 meters to 110 meters there were 30 data packets lost.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari modul kendali berbasis PLC dan peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Medan. Kompetensi lulusan jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektro Universitas Negeri Medan harus mampu memenuhi kebutuhan stakeholder khususnya dunia industri. Mahasiswa sangat membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang modern dan inovatif. Media pembelajaran juga harus dapat menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi kendali otomatis industri saat ini. Metode penelitian ini mengadaptasi rancangan penelitian quasi experiment (eksperimen semu) dengan menggunakan rancangan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian, diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa sebesar 84,30. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dibuktikan dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa pada kelompok eksperimen, yaitu 63 pada saat pre-test dan 84,30 pada saat post-test. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan gain score data pre-test dan data post-test hasil belajar mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen, diperoleh gain score 0,461 dalam kategori sedang. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa modul kendali berbasis PLC efektif diterapkan kepada mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Medan.   Kata Kunci: Efektifitas, Modul, Kendali, PLC, UNIMED Abstract. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the PLC-based control module and increase the learning outcomes of students majoring in Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Medan State University. The competency of graduates majoring in Electrical Engineering Education at Medan State University must be able to meet the needs of stakeholders, especially the industrial world. Students really need modern and innovative learning media. Learning media must also be able to adapt to current developments in industrial automatic control technology. This research method adapts a quasi-experiment research design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Based on research data analysis, the average student learning outcome value was 84.30. The results of this research can be proven by an increase in the average score of student learning outcomes in the experimental group, namely 63 at the pre-test and 84.30 at the post-test. Based on the results of calculating the gain score from pre-test data and post-test data on the learning outcomes of experimental group students, a gain score of 0.461 was obtained in the medium category. So it can be said that the PLC-based control module is effectively applied to students in Pendidikan Teknik Elektro Department Faculty of Engineering Universitas Negeri Medan. Keywords: Efektifitas, Modul Kendali, PLC, Teknik Elektro, UNIMED

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi model 4D dalam pengembangan buku digitital mata kuliah Elektronika Dasar dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan buku digital elektronika dasar yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan jenis Research and Development (R & D), dimana model 4D digunakan sebagai acuan tahapan atau prosedur dalam pengembangana buku digital mata kuliah Elektronika Dasar. Model 4D terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop dan dissemenitation. Tahapan define merupakan tahapan pengembangan untuk memunculkan dan permasalahan dasar yang dihadapi dalam pembeljaran sehingga diperlukasn suau pengembangan bahan ajar. Tahapan design merupakan tahap awal dalam perancangan buku digital elektronika dasar yang dikembangkan. Tahapan develop merupakan tahapan untuk menghasilkan bentuk akhir dari buku yang dikembangkan setelah melalui tahap validasi dan ujicoba untuk melihat kelayakan buku digital elektronika dasar yang dikembangkan. Tahapan disseminate merupakan tahapan untuk penyebaran dan sosialasi buku digital yang dikembangkan memalui seminar dan juga publikasi pada jurnal ilmiah. Kelayakan buku digital yang dikembangkan dilihat dari dua aspek yaitu validitas dan praktikalitas. Hasil validasi yang didapatkan dari ahli yaitu buku digital yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat valid dan hasil praktikalitas didapatkan dari hasil ujicoba yang dilakukan dalam dua tahapan dimana hasil praktikalitas buku ajar yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat pratis. Dari uji validitas dan praktikalitas yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku digital elektronika dasar layak digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah elektronika dasar. Kata Kunci: Buku Digital, Model 4D,  Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the 4D model in the development of digital books for Basic Electronics courses and to determine the feasibility of the basic electronics digital books being developed. This research is a Research and Development (R & D) type of research, where the 4D model is used as a reference for stages or procedures in developing digital books for Basic Electronics courses. The 4D model consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and dissement. The define stage is a development stage to raise the basic problems faced in learning so that a development of teaching materials is needed. The design stage is the initial stage in designing the basic electronics digital book being developed. The develop stage is the stage to produce the final form of the book being developed after going through the validation and testing stages to see the feasibility of the basic electronics digital book being developed. The disseminate stage is the stage for disseminating and socializing digital books that are developed through seminars and also publications in scientific journals. The feasibility of the digital book being developed is seen from two aspects, namely validity and practicality. The validation results obtained from experts were that the digital books developed were in the very valid category and the practicality results were obtained from the results of trials carried out in two stages where the practicality results of the textbooks developed were in the very practical category. From the validity and practicality tests carried out, it can be concluded that basic electronics digital books are suitable for use as an alternative learning media in basic electronics courses. Keywords: Digital book, 4D Model

Abstract

Rapid technological advancements in electrical engineering education require innovative learning media that bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, especially for complex topics such as low-power inverters. This study developed and evaluated an AI-integrated learning media for low-power inverters, utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The media's effectiveness was assessed through a single-group pretest-posttest design involving 40 undergraduate electrical engineering students. Validation by content and media experts deemed the media highly feasible, with an average feasibility percentage exceeding 85%. The implementation results showed a significant improvement in students' cognitive competencies, with the average test score increasing from 59.75 (pretest) to 83.20 (posttest) and an N-Gain of 0.59, which is categorized as moderate. A paired-sample t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) between the pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, students' perceptions were very positive, especially regarding material understanding, learning motivation, interactivity, and self-directed learning. The novelty of these findings demonstrates that integrating artificial intelligence into learning media is not only technically and pedagogically feasible but also effective in improving the learning outcomes of electrical engineering students. The developed media has the potential for broader application in engineering education and supports continued innovation in smart technology-based learning environments.

Abstract

The increasing penetration of photovoltaic (PV) generation in modern distribution networks introduces considerable uncertainty due to the inherently fluctuating nature of solar irradiance. These fluctuations directly affect PV output power, resulting in significant variations in bus voltages, feeder currents, and power losses. Traditional deterministic load flow (DLF) analysis, which assumes fixed PV generation, is unable to capture this stochastic behavior and therefore may lead to inaccurate estimation of system conditions. This study presents a comparative assessment between deterministic load flow using the Backward–Forward Sweep (BFS) method and probabilistic load flow (PLF) based on Hong’s Two-Point Estimate Method (PEM) to evaluate the impact of solar irradiance variability on the performance of PV-integrated distribution networks. Solar irradiance data are statistically characterized to obtain the mean and variance, which are then propagated into PV output power through a linear irradiance–power conversion model. The IEEE 34-bus radial distribution system is used as the test network, with multiple PV units installed at selected buses. The results show that deterministic analysis underestimates voltage deviations and fails to capture the range of power losses induced by PV uncertainty. In particular, the deterministic BFS solution yields a single operating point with real and reactive losses of 0.1582 MW and 0.0479 MVar, whereas the probabilistic 2PEM produces mean losses of 0.105 MW and 0.031 MVar with standard deviations of 0.057 MW and 0.016 MVar, respectively. In contrast to the fixed deterministic voltage curve, probabilistic voltage profiles form a bounded envelope around it, indicating non-negligible downstream voltage variability driven by irradiance fluctuations. Overall, the findings confirm that solar irradiance variability substantially influences distribution system performance, and incorporating probabilistic assessment is essential for more realistic, risk-informed planning and operation of PV-integrated distribution systems.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu kelompok Nelayan Bahagia di Kelurahan Belawan 1, Kecamatan Medan Belawan dengan memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi, seperti rendahnya hasil tangkapan ikan akibat sarana yang kurang memadai. Solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi penerapan sistem kelistrikan dan alat navigasi fishfinder yang dapat membantu tempat tempat ikan berkumpul. Program ini akan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi keberlanjutan program. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan partisipatif dengan pelibatan langsung mitra dalam setiap tahap kegiatan, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program. Dari hasil uji coba menunjukkan dalam penggunaan fishfinder, waktu operasional nelayan di laut dapat dipangkas hingga 25%, dan nelayan melaporkan peningkatan hasil tangkapan harian sebesar 20–25% dibandingkan sebelum penggunaan alat. Penerapan sistem kelistrikan dan navigasi fishfinder tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan hasil tangkapan, tetapi juga memberikan dampak sosial-ekonomi berkelanjutan bagi nelayan tradisional. Efisiensi bahan bakar menekan biaya operasional, sedangkan peningkatan hasil tangkapan memperbaiki kesejahteraan ekonomi. Pada sisi sosial, teknologi ini meningkatkan keselamatan, pengetahuan, dan solidaritas antar nelayan.
