Abstract

This paper is aimed to analyzing the effect of labor social norms named julo-julo on the performance of kopay chili farming in Payakumbuh city. Structural Equational Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) was used to analize the effect of social norm on the performance of kopay chili farming. The primary data used is taken through observation and interview process, meanwhile secondary data obtained from related institution. The selected samples were all 53 farmers of kopay chili in Payakumbuh City. The research results showed that thevariable of social norm has positif and significant effect on farmers’ performancewith the influence coefficient 0.317. The most dominant social norm that influence farming performance is providing aid to each other (λ) 0.894. Hence, government should be able to optimize social norm of julo-julo labor in desingning farming development strategies to improve the performance of kopay chili farming. Abstract

Produksi ubikayu (Manihot Esculenta) di Desa Benteng, Kabupaten Bogor mencapai 200 ton/tahun yang menempatkan Desa Benteng sebagai salahsatu sentra penghasil ubikayu di Kabupaten Bogor. Namun, angka kemiskinan di desa tersebut masih tinggi yaitu 12 persen. Potensi desa belum dimanfaatkan untuk menurunkan angka kemiskinan karena para petani belum memiliki keterampilan budidaya yang berkelanjutan, keterampilan meningkatkan nilai jual ubikayu serta peran dan fungsi kelompok yang masih rendah dalam wirausaha desa berbasis ubikayu. Tujuan kegiatan: (1) meningkatkan perilaku positif kelompok (POKTAN dan KWT), (2) mengelompokkan poktan dan KWT dalam proses wirausaha ubikayu yaitu budidaya, produksi mocaf, pangan olahan, pasar dan promosi, dan (3) merintis embrio kampung tematik casava. Metode kegiatan adalah komunikasi persuasi untuk upgrading kelompok agar kelompok menjadi dinamis.. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kinerja kelompok meningkat dengan terbentuknya 2 KWT baru, tersusunnya program kerja POKTAN dan KWT, bertambahnya jumlah kegiatan rintisan desa wisata casava dan mulai berjalannya wirausaha berbasis ubikayu. Pengetahuan kelompok dalam pembuatan mocaf meningkat dari skor 70.2 ke 80.0, pangan olahan meningkat dari 69.8 ke 80.4, budidaya ubikayu meningkat dari 45.3 ke 45.9. sikap positif KWT tentang pentingnya bisnis, pemasaran, mocaf, pengemasan dan desa wisata meningkat dari 52,29 persen ke 58.8 persen. Abstract

Pengembangan ayam lokal dewasa ini semakin prospektif seiring dengan adanya diversifikasi produk yang semakin diminati masyarakat dengan segmen pasar tersendiri. Namun, usaha ayam lokal yang lebih banyak dikembangkan secara back yard farming menyebabkan daya tawar peternak ayam lokal belum kompetitif. Hal ini salah satunya disebabkan belum diterapkannya entrepreneurial skills dengan baik. Dalam sistem agribisnis, efektifitas dan efisiensi kinerja usaha ayam lokal tidak hanya ditentukan oleh modal fisik tapi juga modal sosial berupa keahlian berwirausaha terutama perilaku kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penumbuhkembangan perilaku kewirausahaan dalam sistem agribisnis ayam lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menggunakan data sekunder dan jurnal hasil penelitian, tesis/disertasi, buku teks, dan laporan pemerintah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bibit ayam lokal pada subsistem agribisnis hulu merupakan titik krusial yang menentukan kontinyuitas pasokan DOC ayam lokal di subsistem on farm. Dukungan kelembagaan, pemerintah pusat dan daerah, asosiasi dan jaringan pemasaran menjadi komponen yang perlu dikuatkan. Pada subsistem on farm, perilaku dari peternak yang belum menjadikan ayam lokal sebagai usaha pokok merupakan esensi yang penting untuk dilakukan perubahan menjadi perilaku seorang wirausaha. Perilaku kewirausahaan yang terdiri dari pengetahuan, sikap mental, dan keterampilan adalah faktor penentu kinerja usaha. Perilaku wirausaha dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal (karakter wirausaha) dan faktor eksternal (lingkungan usaha). Karakter wirausaha yang dominan perlu diperhatikan dalam menumbuhkembangkan perilaku kewirausahaan yaitu motivasi, inovasi, dan berani mengambil resiko. Sementara itu, faktor eksternal yang perlu diperhatikan yaitu dukungan penyuluhan atau pelatihan, ketersediaan sarana produksi, dan dukungan kebijakan pemerintah.

Abstract

The aims of this study were: (1) to analyze the decision of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots, (2) to analyze the intention of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots, (3) to analyze the factors that influence the decision of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots. The research adopts the theory of planned behavior and the ERG motivation theory. The research was conducted in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. This study uses primary data, which was collected through structured interviews. The research respondents were 60 farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency. The analysis used the descriptive method and partial least square (PLS) method. The results of the analysis showed that most of the farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency decided not to plant shallots in the next season. The intention of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots is in the high category. The decision of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots is directly and significantly positively influenced by the intention of farmers to plant shallots; and the intention of farmers to plant shallots directly and significantly positively influenced by the social norms held by farmers. Social norms are the only factor that has an indirect and significant positive effect on the decision of farmers in Pesisir Selatan Regency to plant shallots.

Abstract

The agribusiness program is one of the Cigombong TTP programs that can help assisted farmers and breeders and partners market their products at a better price. This study aims (1) to analyze the consumer decision-making process for the Cigombong TTP agribusiness program and (2) to analyze the consumer satisfaction of the Cigombong TTP agribusiness program product. The method used is descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results showed that the decision-making process of most consumers of the TTP Cigombong agribusiness program was motivated to get quality products, sought information from family or friends, the most interesting promotions were product quality, considering product purchases as needed, making planned purchases regularly every week. once and expressed satisfaction after purchasing the TTP Cigombong agribusiness program product. Based on CSI analysis, consumers are satisfied with the performance of the TTP Cigombong agribusiness program with a value of 79.19% and the priority attributes to be repaired according to the IPA matrix are the attributes of security assurance or product certification.

Abstract

The number of farmers that continues to decline is one of the problems that occur in the agricultural sector. The interest to become a farmer or business actor in agriculture, especially for the younger generation also tends to decline. They perceive that it is more tiring to work in the agricultural sector because they work outdoors. By administering a survey to 63 members of Komunitas Petani Muda Indonesia, this research aimed to determine the opinions of the younger generation about organic farming and their impact on entrepreneurial goals. The technique of collecting samples employs probability sampling, descriptive analysis, and SEM-PLS. The results show that the knowledge and positive views about organic farming affect the interest in entrepreneurship, However, their interest in organic farming tends to be low. Several factors contribute to this, including the fact that many individuals who do not understand organic products equate the price of organic products with conventional agricultural products and the difficulty of marketing organic products. The conclusion is that perception influences the desire of young people to become entrepreneurs.
