Abstract

Abstract

This study systematically analyses the predictive ability financial ratios have in relation to the emergence of financial distress among non-cyclical companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020-2023. Secondary data was collected from a sample of 151 secondary data companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, spanning the years from 2020 to 2023. In order to ascertain the relationship between the independent variables (X1, X2, X3) and the dependent variable, Multiple Linear Regression models are utilised by employing the Eviews calculation application. As a model, the Springate model is employed, which is used to measure financial distress. The financial ratios selected for analysis encompass the liquidity ratio, the leverage ratio, and the profitability ratio. The findings of this study suggest that the profitability ratio exerts a substantial positive effect, or a moderate effect, on the phenomenon of financial distress. In contrast, the liquidity ratio and leverage ratio demonstrate an absence of statistically significant influence on the phenomenon of financial distress. Extensive analysis of the results indicates that financial distress, as measured by Springate, does not exert a substantial influence on the findings obtained from this study. The incorporation of diverse samples and models in subsequent studies is likely to introduce variations into the research outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease, trust, and benefits on the interest in using digital payments and their impact on customer satisfaction among Generation Z students. The focus of this study is to explore the relationship between these factors and how they affect digital transaction behavior and user satisfaction levels. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 185 Generation Z student respondents through purposive sampling techniques and distributed using questionnaires. The analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach using Smart PLS4 software. The results showed that perceived ease, trust, and benefits had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, the use of digital payments also had a direct positive effect on satisfaction, but did not act as a mediating variable in the relationship between user perceptions and satisfaction. These findings indicate that perceptions of service quality have a greater influence on satisfaction than frequency of use. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions in understanding the behavior of digital payment users among Gen Z students.

Abstract

Wet noodles as a source of carbohydrates have a moderate GI value that is 53-56. For this reason, engineering processes was needed to reduce GI value so that it becomes safe and healthy food. Tea (Camellia sinensis) contains tannin polyphenols which can reduce protein and starch digestibility so that the glycemic response decreases. The addition of tea extract to the noodleswill result in changes in product properties, so that research on quality of wet noodles with tea extract addition was needed. This research used Factorial Randomized Block Design. The first factor was tea type with two levels and second factor was tea extract concentration with three levels. The parameters observed were organoleptic test, namely taste, aroma and color, and chemical tests, namely protein and tannin content. The research conclusion were: (1) based on organoleptic test, the addition of green tea was preferred over black tea, (2) the addition of green tea and black tea did not caused significant differences in protein content, (3) the tannin content with the addition of green tea tends to be higher than black tea, and (4) the selected treatmentwas T1K1 (addition of 1% green tea extract) containing 5.81% protein and 15.39% tannin. Keywords: Wet Noodles, Tea Extract, Organoleptic, Protein, Tannin.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased public interest in investing, especially in the banking sector, which is known for its stability. However, many investors still lack an understanding of fundamental analysis. This study aims to examine the effect of Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on stock prices of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2011–2023 period. The research used a quantitative approach with purposive sampling and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results show that ROA has no significant effect on stock prices. In contrast, ROE has a significant negative effect, while NPM has a significant positive effect on stock prices. These findings indicate that investors tend to consider net profit margins more than asset efficiency, and that high ROE may be perceived as a signal of high leverage risk. This research is expected to provide insights for investors in assessing banking performance before making investment decisions.

Abstract

The growth of student entrepreneurship in Semarang City has not been fully accompanied by adequate financial management capabilities. Financial record-keeping problems, particularly the inability to separate personal and business finances, remain prevalent and tend to increase, potentially hindering the sustainability of student-owned MSMEs.  This study aims to examine the effects of Financial Attitude, Financial Self-Efficacy, and Love of Money on the financial management of student entrepreneurs in Semarang City. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, involving 182 student entrepreneurs selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that Financial Attitude, Financial Self-Efficacy, and Love of Money have a positive and significant effect on students’ financial management. The R-square value of 0.670 demonstrates the model’s ability to explain variations in financial management. In conclusion, psychological financial factors play an important role in improving financial management among student entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, cash conversion cycle, and fixed asset turnover on profitability (ROA) in pharmaceutical subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2024. The research seeks to understand how working capital efficiency and asset utilization contribute to improving a company’s financial performance, particularly in generating profits.A quantitative approach was applied using secondary data derived from the annual financial statements of pharmaceutical companies. The sample, selected through purposive sampling, consists of 13 companies with a total of 65 observations across five years. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26 to evaluate the influence of each independent variable on profitability. The findings indicate that receivable turnover, inventory turnover, and the cash conversion cycle have a positive and significant effect on profitability. Meanwhile, cash turnover and fixed asset turnover show no significant influence. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect profitability, with an R² value of 0.523, indicating that 52.3% of profitability variation is explained by the model. These results highlight that efficient management of receivables, inventory, and the cash conversion cycle plays a crucial role in enhancing profitability within the pharmaceutical sector.
