Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi sistem imunitas menggunakan media e-comic di kelas XI MAN  1 Indramayu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media e-comic terhadap meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan motivasi siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Indramayu dengan sampel kelas XI-3 IPA dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu 15 butir soal bentuk pilihan ganda dan 15 butir soal angket. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data, hasil belajar siswa diperoleh rata-rata persentase pretest 56,12%. Hasil belajar siswa pada soal posttes diperoleh rata-rata persentase 74,36% termasuk ada berbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Dan hasil belajar siswa antara pretest dan posttes dibandingkan dengan rumus N-gain dan memperoleh persentase 0,5 termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang   dan pada ranah motivasi siswa berupa soal angket dari 5 indikator memeroleh 86,3% pada indikator 1 dengan kategori sangat baik, 84% indikator 2 termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik, 77,7% indikator 3 dengan kategori baik, 82,3% indikator 4 termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik, 74% indikator 5 termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal ini berarti media E-comic dapat dinyatakan baik untuk hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi sistem imunitas sub materi pertahanan tubuh (Adaptif) di kelas XI MAN 1 Indramayu.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the trend and scope of strengthening literacy in biology learning over four decades that will make a valuable contribution to the biology learning in all educational levels. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) method adapted from the PRISMA model. This SLR obtained several interesting findings. It was found that the theme of biology and literacy reached its peak in 2023. We found two main countries to focus on, namely the United States and Indonesia. Biology and its learning are synonymous with scientific/science literacy. Other types of literacy that are widely promoted by researchers are information literacy, quantitative literacy, health literacy, visual literacy, computer literacy, three-dimensional literacy, reading literacy, media literacy, assessment literacy, epigenetic literacy, digital literacy, and environmental literacy. In the Indonesian context, we suggest that biology learning needs to be oriented towards strengthening the literacy aspects-science literacy, information literacy, quantitative literacy, health literacy, visual literacy, computer literacy, three-dimensional literacy, reading literacy, media literacy, assessment literacy, epigenetic literacy, digital literacy, and environmental literacy-found in SLR because each of them has an urgency.

Abstract

Students' science literacy abilities must receive special attention, particularly by investigating root causes and implementing strategies for improvement. Measuring science literacy through questions is crucial to determine students’ proficiency to be science literate. This research aims to produce higher-order thinking skill (HOTS)-based science literacy questions that are feasible (valid and reliable) to measure high school students' science literacy on respiratory system material. This research employed research and development (RD) approach. This study involved 300 senior high school students across Indonesia. Research data was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The empirical study revealed 20 HOTS-based science literacy questions on respiratory system material with acceptable reliability values. These results show the feasibility of the developed questions and highlight the possibility for further extensive trial stage to assess students' science literacy.

Abstract

The development of technology and information in the 21st century is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, Indonesia's science literacy levels remain categorized as low. Science literacy is among the most essential skills in the 21st century, so integrated technology, information, and environment are fundamental. This research aims to understand the perception of teachers and students towards science literacy integrated with technology, information, and environmental literacy in Junior High Schools (SMP). This research falls under the quantitative category and employs an observational descriptive design. The sample in this study consists of three junior high schools in the Indramayu Regency, representing the Indramayu region's western, central, and eastern regions. The questionnaire instrument determines students' science literacy ability towards information, technology, and the environment. Meanwhile, interviews were used to determine teachers' and students' perceptions of information-based science literacy, technology, and the environment. The research data were obtained using both questionnaires and interview instruments. The study results reveal that the integration of science literacy with information, technology, and the environment achieved percentages of 69.42% for information-integrated science literacy, 70.98% for technology-integrated science literacy, and 73.89% for environment-integrated science literacy, highlighting varying levels of proficiency across these domains. This indicates a moderate ability to integrate science literacy effectively.

Abstract

Conservation Biology is an interdisciplinary science whose purpose is to encourage the development of theory and application in conservation areas. Biawak Island is one of the leading conservation areas in the Indramayu district, therefore conservation biology learning should be done directly on Biawak Island. In practice, studying conservation biology directly on Biawak Island is difficult because of the long distance and expensive access to this place. Based on these problems, a digital encyclopedia of conservation on Biawak Island is needed to solve the problem of needing media that can become a medium for studying conservation in this hard-to-reach area. The method in this research is quantitative, and the research design is development research using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), but does not include implementation and evaluation phases. The name given to the encyclopedia is PULBIN PEDIA, which was created using the PHP programming language. The content includes a profile of Biawak Island and conservation on Biawak Island, which contains multimedia narrative text, images, and videos. The digital encyclopedia has a control device that allows users to explore the encyclopedia's contents independently and can be updated at any time by the administrator. The validation expert results show that the PULBIN PEDIA encyclopedia is very valid as a learning medium for students and college students.

Abstract

Bioconservation is an interdisciplinary science whose purpose is to encourage the development of theory and application in conservation areas. Biawak Island is one of the leading conservation areas in the Indramayu district, therefore Bioconservation learning should be done directly on Biawak Island. In practice, studying Bioconservation directly on Biawak Island is difficult because of the long distance and expensive access to this place. Based on these problems, an interactive dynamic web in the form of a digital encyclopedia is a solution for the problem. Digital encyclopedia named “PULBIN PEDIA”. That was implemented in one of the private universities in West Java. The design used is Descriptive Qualitative. A qualitative approach is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. This research was conducted on 24 students who were taking the course of Bioconservation in the academic years of 2023/2024.  The results of the analysis from observations found that PULBIN PEDIA is an interactive and dynamic media and can be implemented as an integrated learning resource in Bioconservation lectures because it contains complete and accurate information regarding the location, origin of the name, management, conservation activities, conservation actors and biodiversity on Biawak Island. PULBIN PEDIA also can be implemented as a learning resource in lectures that apply problem-based learning strategies where students can find 3 (three) conservation problems, investigate components that have been conserved, and formulate solutions on how to preserve Biawak Island.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Tanjungpura, Indramayu mayoritas berprofesi sebagai petani, dengan komoditi utamanya adalah padi, sedangkan untuk tanaman sayuran masih jarang dibudidayakan karena rumitnya perawatan. Sayuran sendiri memiliki manfaat yang banyak untuk kesehatan tubuh. Selain itu, limbah anorganik dari rumah tangga yang berupa botol bekas minuman dan styrofoam masih belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan.  Di Desa Tanjungpura memiliki potensi dengan adanya Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) namun pengetahuan tentang budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik masih kurang sehingga diperlukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik water culture dengan memanfaatkan limbah anorganik. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode pemaparan materi kemudian diskusi secara interaktif dengan bahan yang dikaji adalah tentang lingkungan bersih, bahaya limbah anorganik, manfaat sayuran bagi kesehatan tubuh dan cara budidaya sayuran dengan hidroponik. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode praktek langsung secara berkelompok. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah penyuluhan masyarakat Desa Tanjungpura menjadi lebih memahami bahaya limbah anorganik sehingga harus menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah anorganik menjadi lebih bernilai contohnya sebagai media tanam hidroponik. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan masyarakat menjadi lebih terampil dalam mengaplikasikan teknik hidroponik water culter untuk budidaya sayuran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat menjadi meningkat setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik water culter yang memanfaatkan limbah anorganik rumah tangga. Untuk selanjutnya dapat dilakukan kegiatan penyuluhan pemilihan nutrisi hidroponik dan pemasaran hasilnya sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat

Abstract

Natural Science (IPA) is an important learning in elementary schools. IPA is knowledge related to natural phenomena, not only a collection of facts and concepts, but also about how to work, how to think, and how to solve problems. Natural science is also interpreted as knowledge about nature obtained based on human experience due to interaction with its environment. Problems that often arise in learning the content of IPA material include the lack of availability of learning media, teaching and learning activities using more lecture methods, students' attention is less focused on the provision of material by the teacher. To realize meaningful IPA learning, learning media are needed. Learning media are all tools that can be used to achieve educational goals. Learning media have a very important function in learning activities, both for teachers and students. Learning media will make learning more interesting, can provide meaningful learning experiences, activate and please children and the existence of learning media will provide motivation in the learning process. Examples of learning media that can be applied to science learning are learning media that utilize used goods. Learning media from used goods is an interesting and creative alternative to make the teaching and learning process more effective and enjoyable. by using items available in the surrounding environment, especially used goods such as cardboard, bottled drinking water, paper, straws, etc. In addition, the use of used goods can also help foster a sense of love for the environment in children. Learning media from used goods can make the teaching and learning process more interesting and enjoyable, so that it can increase children's interest in learning. Utilizing used goods to make learning media can help develop children's creativity. Playing with learning media from used goods can help train children's motor skills. Utilizing used goods to make learning media can help foster a sense of love for the environment in children. Therefore, we students who are doing KKN 2024 in Anjatan Utara Village, Anjatan District took the initiative to apply learning media from used goods to increase students' creativity and awareness of the environment.

Abstract

Keberlimpahan pohon mangga di Indramayu belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Selain itu, peluang inovasi usaha terhitung masih kurang. Hal ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan inovasi usaha baru dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang ada tanpa harus modal yang besar seperti melakukan pemasaran melalui digital marketing. Dari permasalahan tersebut dilaksanakannya sosialisasi pemanfaatan daun manga dan pelatihan digital marketing. Tujuan diselenggarakannya sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini yaitu memberikan 1) informasi, pengetahuan, edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang manfaat dan potensi daun mangga harum manis untuk dijadikan teh yang kaya antioksidan serta penuh manfaat yang dapat diterima oleh masyarakat, 2) memberikan informasi, pengetahuan, edukasi dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan teh hijau daun mangga gedong gincu serta analisis usaha sebagai salah satu inovasi usaha untuk meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif. 3) Memberikan informasi, pengetahuan, edukasi dan keterampilan dalam digital marketing berupa branding produk dan pembuatan konten digital. Metode pelaksanaannya yaitu wawancara dan survei, pembuatan produk, sosialisasi pemanfaatan daun mangga, uji daya terima, sosialisasi dan pelatihan terhadap masyarakat tentang pembuatan produk, pengemasan, dan pemasaran, serta tahap evaluasi. Adapun hasil yang dicapai yaitu pemahaman masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan daun mangga mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan rata-rata sebesar 50 dan pemahaman tentang digital marketing mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan rata-rata sebesar 51. Dampak nyata terhadap masyarakat adalah adanya inovasi usaha yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan daun mangga harum manis menjadi the yang kaya antioksidan.

Abstract

Kurangnya kesempatan siswa untuk mengaplikasikan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat membuat siswa menjadi kurang kreatif dan hasil belajarnya rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplilkasi Canva dalam Project Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi dan mengetahui bagaimana kreativitas siswa setelah pembelajaran pada materi sistem reproduksi dengan aplikasi Canva dalam Project Based Learning di SMAN 2 Indramayu. Jenis desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian True Experimental, dengan desain Posttest-only Control Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas XI MIPA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Canva dalam model Project Based Learning memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu, penerapan model Project Based Learning dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Canva juga berdampak positif pada tingkat kreativitas siswa.
