Abstract

This research aims to create and evaluate the crosslink coprocess of Kepok banana starch with silica dioxide as an additional material for making tablets using the direct compression method. Coprocessing is carried out using the coprecipitation method of silica on the surface of starch that has been crosslinked with sodium tripolyphosphate. Coprocesses were evaluated based on solubility characteristics, swelling power, angle of repose, Hausner ratio, compressibility index, FTIR, and SEM microscopy. The starch-silica coprocess showed better flow properties and compressibility compared to other frequently used super disintegrants. FTIR showed that there was no chemical reaction between the two starch and silica materials during the coprecipitation process. Coprocess crosslink kepok banana starch can be used as an excipient for making tablets using the direct compression method because it has better flow properties and a compressibility index. Keywords:          Banana Starch, Coprocess, Crosslink starch, Silicon dioxide   Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat dan melakukan evaluasi coproses crosslink pati buah pisang kepok dengan silika dioxide sebagai eksipien pembuatan tablet dengan metode cetak langsung. Pembuatan coprosess dilakukan dengan metode kopresipitasi silika pada permukaan pati yang sudah di crosslink dengan sodium tripoluphospate. Coprosess dievaluasi berdasarkan karakteristik kelarutan, daya pengembangan, sudut diam, rasio hausner, indeks kompresibilitas, FTIR dan mikroskop SEM. Coprocess pati-silika menunjukkan sifat alir dan kompresibilitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan superdisintegran lain yang sering digunakan. FTIR menunjukkan tidak ada reaksi kimia antara kedua bahan pati dan silika selama proses kopresipitasi. Coprosess crosslink pati buah pisang kepok dapat digunakan sebagai eksipien pembuatan tablet dengan metode kempa langsung karena memiliki sifat alir dan indeks kompresibilitas yang lebih baik. Abstract

Silver humansrefer to individuals who cover nearly their entire bodies with silver-colored paint, which often contains toxic compounds, including lead (Pb). The accumulation of lead in the body can disrupt inflammatory responses. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between blood lead concentration and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels in the serum of silver humans. This research employed an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study variables included blood lead concentration as the independent variable and serum CRP levels as the dependent variable. The study population consisted of silver humans from the Purwokerto and Purbalingga regions. A total of 11 participants were selected using an accidental sampling technique. Blood lead levels were measured using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS), while CRP levels were assessed qualitatively using the latex agglutination method. The results indicated no significant correlation between blood lead concentration and serum CRP levels in silver humans, as determined by the Fisher’s Exact Test (P-value = 0.491, P 0.05)

Abstract

ABSTRACT Women Women over the age of 45 often experience pre-menopausal physiological changes, including alterations in lipid metabolism. One consequence is an increased risk of hypertriglyceridemia, which is associated with cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, pancreatitis, and metabolic syndrome. Identifying dietary interventions that can help manage lipid levels is essential in promoting long-term health in this population. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of daily tempeh milk consumption for seven consecutive days on triglyceride levels in women aged over 45 years. A total of 25 women aged above 45 years from Ledug Village, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency, participated in this pre-experimental study. Triglyceride levels were measured before and after the 7-day intervention using photometric analysis at the UMP Clinical Laboratory. Statistical analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to assess the significance of changes in triglyceride levels. The findings revealed a statistically significant reduction in triglyceride levels following tempeh milk consumption (p = 0.011). The mean decrease observed was 3.92 mg/dL. Keywords: Triglycerides, Tempeh, Pre-menopause.  ABSTRAK Wanita berusia lebih dari 45 tahun biasanya sudah memasuki masa pre-menopause yang menyebabkan perubahan metabolisme lemak dalam tubuh. Peningkatan kadar trigliserida melebihi normal (hipertrigliseridemia) dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan diantaranya peningkatan risiko kardiovaskular, arterosklerosis, pankreatitis dan sindrom metabolik. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar trigliserida pada wanita berusia lebih dari 45 (empat puluh lima) tahun dengan pemberian susu tempe selama 7 (tujuh) hari berturut-turut. Sampel pada penelitian ini berupa wanita yang telah memasuki usia lebih dari 45 tahun di Kelurahan Ledug, Kecamatan Kembaran, Kabupaten Banyumas berjumlah 25 orang. Pengukuran kadar trigliserida dilakukan sebelum dan setelah konsumsi susu tempe selama 7 hari bertutut-turut menggunakan metode pemeriksaan fotometer di laboratorium Klinik Pratama Rawat Jalan UMP. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji analisis Wilcoxon dengan hasil nilai P = 0,011. Hasil menunjukan susu tempe berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam penurunan kadar trigliserida yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai P 0,05 dan rata-rata penurunan kadar trigliserida sebanyak 3,92 mg/dL. Kata Kunci: Trigliserida, Tempe, Pre-menopause.
