Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the digital marketing capacity of Ibu Surita's "Peyek" MSME in Telang Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District. The background is the limited use of social media and branding in this micro-business. The methods used were observation, interviews, socialization, practical training, and mentoring. The results show an improvement in the business owner's digital literacy, evidenced by the ability to manage a WhatsApp Business account, upload promotional content, and the implementation of new packaging label designs that strengthen brand identity. This intervention provided benefits such as expanding potential market reach, improving product image, and motivating the business owner to continue developing digital marketing independently.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the economy but are often constrained by limited human resource competencies. This community service activity aims to improve the competency of peyek (traditional cracker) MSME owners in Telang Sari Village through training focused on product innovation, market trend understanding, and flavor variant development. The methods used include interviews, discussions, and participatory training with one business owner as the subject. The results show an increase in participants' understanding and motivation to create product innovations, such as developing new flavor variants (dried shrimp and anchovy), as well as awareness of the importance of adapting products to consumer preferences. This training positively contributes to the development of local peyek businesses and opens up insights for MSME actors to compete in a dynamic market.

Abstract

Mathematics instruction in higher education is increasingly delivered through offline, online, and blended modalities, each characterized by distinct assessment practices. However, the heterogeneity of these instructional arrangements often results in inconsistent learning outcomes and poses challenges for valid measurement of student performance. This study examines the interaction between learning modality—specifically blended learning—and assessment type on students’ mathematics achievement, while explicitly controlling for initial mathematical ability. A quasi-experimental design employing a three-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted with first-year Informatics Engineering students at Universitas Bina Darma, Indonesia. Descriptive statistics (minimum, maximum, mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation) were computed to summarize the data, followed by inferential analyses testing main, interaction, and simple effects. The results revealed a significant interaction effect between blended learning and assessment type, moderated by students’ initial mathematical ability. Students with high prior mathematical ability achieved superior outcomes when participating in blended learning combined with online assessment compared to offline assessment. Similarly, students with low prior mathematical ability demonstrated better performance under online assessment conditions than in offline contexts. Overall, these findings indicate that the integration of online assessment within blended learning environments can enhance student engagement and mathematics achievement across varying ability levels. The results carry important implications for the instructional design and assessment strategies employed in university-level mathematics education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of public satisfaction with the quality of traffic CCTV services at the Palembang City Police Station based on the results of a questionnaire containing Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Emphaty. This research is a quantitative research. The subject of this study was the community of Palembang city which amounted to 300 people Data collection uses questionnaire questionnaires, while data analysis is processed and calculated in mining applications, namely rapidminers using the Naïve Bayes method. The results showed that out of 300 respondents, 73 were very satisfied, 139 satisfied, 34 neutral, 29 dissatisfied, and 25 very dissatisfied. While the most respondents based on gender attributes are men with a total of 166, age attributes are 20-30 with a total of 86, education attributes are high school with a total of 150, job attributes are private employees with a total of 140, vehicle attributes are motorcycles with a total of 150. And from the category is Satisfied with the number of 139.

Abstract

Kegiatan magang di Direktorat Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi (DSTI) Universitas Bina Darma dilaksanakan untuk mendukung peningkatan keamanan jaringan melalui implementasi sistem deteksi intrusi menggunakan Wazuh yang terintegrasi dengan notifikasi real-time Telegram. Kegiatan ini meliputi observasi lingkungan kerja, analisis kebutuhan sistem, instalasi dan konfigurasi Wazuh Server serta Wazuh Agent, integrasi Telegram Bot API, dan pengujian fungsional sistem. Implementasi dilakukan pada lingkungan virtual menggunakan VirtualBox dengan Ubuntu Desktop sebagai endpoint yang dipantau dan Kali Linux sebagai media simulasi aktivitas mencurigakan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa Wazuh mampu mendeteksi percobaan login tidak sah dan perubahan file melalui fitur File Integrity Monitoring (FIM). Selain itu, notifikasi alert berhasil dikirimkan secara otomatis dan real-time ke Telegram administrator sehingga proses monitoring keamanan menjadi lebih cepat dan efisien. Implementasi sistem ini memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan efektivitas monitoring keamanan jaringan serta membantu administrator dalam merespons ancaman keamanan secara lebih cepat di lingkungan Universitas Bina Darma.

Abstract

This community service article describes the acceleration process of inputting and validating Key Performance Indicator (IKK) data at the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of South Sumatra Province into the South Sumatra One Data Portal. BPKAD, as the steward of IKK 4.b.3, faces challenges in ensuring the accuracy, validity, and timeliness of budget realization data for Mandatory Basic Public Service expenditures. The implementation of this service activity was carried out through data collection assistance from financial systems (SIMDA and SIPD), cross-data validation assistance, Microsoft Excel-based data processing, and data upload into the One Data Portal using electronic signatures certified by BSrE-BSSN. The service activities resulted in IKK 4.b.3 achievement of 76.98% with a budget realization of IDR 4,037,023,860,288.94 from an allocation of IDR 5,244,085,538,092.00 for Fiscal Year 2025. This program improved data quality, accelerated reporting timelines, and enhanced accountability in regional government performance data management. The activity also contributed to strengthening the implementation of the One Data Indonesia policy at the provincial level.

Abstract

The stability of computer network infrastructure is a critical factor in supporting public service operations, including at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Palembang Branch Office, which serves four divisions across two floors with a total of 37 Personal Computers (PCs). This study aims to design and analyze a Local Area Network (LAN) topology based on the Extended Star topology combined with a Class C IPv4 addressing scheme (192.168.1.0/24), and to evaluate its fault tolerance characteristics through simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer. The method includes field observation, simulation experiments, and literature study, with two testing scenarios: normal operating conditions and backbone link-failure conditions. Results under normal conditions show a 100% ICMP packet delivery success rate (0% packet loss) with an average Round Trip Time (RTT) of 5 ms. However, under the backbone failure scenario, the network experienced total communication failure with 100% packet loss, confirming the vulnerability of a pure Star architecture to a single point of failure. Based on these findings, this study recommends a Hybrid Star-Ring architecture, combining an Extended Star topology at the client level with a Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)-based Backbone Ring at the main switch interconnection, together with VLAN, Port Security, Access Control List (ACL), and Quality of Service (QoS) to enhance security and service quality in real-world deployment.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam usaha UMKM produksi keripik pisang dan keripik tempe di Desa Suka Damai, Kecamatan Tanjung Lago, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa melalui pemanfaatan potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi dan penyuluhan peluang usaha UMKM, pelatihan teknis produksi dan manajemen usaha, pendampingan serta pembinaan berkelanjutan, hingga monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Metode pelaksanaan difokuskan pada peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola usaha secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan masyarakat dalam proses produksi, pengemasan, dan pemasaran produk, serta tumbuhnya motivasi untuk mengembangkan usaha secara mandiri. Program ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan nilai tambah produk lokal, membuka peluang usaha baru, dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap penguatan perekonomian desa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

In today's digital era, educational institutions face challenges in managing various academic information systems that require separate authentication for users. This often causes difficulties in accessing various applications with different logins. This study aims to develop and implement Single Sign-On in the academic information system of SMP Dharma Bhakti Palembang using the Agile Development method. Agile Development was chosen because of its iterative approach that allows flexibility in system development and improvement based on user feedback. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method, which focuses on testing system functionality based on input and output without considering the internal structure of the code. This testing includes user authentication validation and SSO integration with various academic applications. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of SSO can simplify the user authentication process and reduce the risk of login errors. Thus, this study provides an innovative solution that can be a reference for other educational institutions in developing more integrated academic information systems.

Abstract

Human resources are a crucial component in an institution, particularly in hospital environments. This study aims to analyze employee attendance data at RSUP Dr. Rivai Abdullah and to develop a model for grouping attendance levels using the K-Means clustering method. The K-Means method is applied to classify attendance data based on several variables, including discipline, punctuality, and lateness. The data used in this study consist of employee attendance records over a specific period obtained from the hospital’s personnel information system. To evaluate the quality of the clustering results, the Davies-Bouldin Index(DBI) was employed. The DBI value is used to determine the optimality of the generated clusters, where a smaller DBI value indicates better clustering quality. The results show that employee attendance data can be grouped into several clusters representing levels of discipline, namely disciplined, punctual, and late employees, with a DBI value indicating optimal clustering performance. These clustering results can assist hospital management in identifying groups of employees with low attendance levels who require further attention and evaluation. Therefore, the implementation of the K-Means clustering method evaluated using the Davies-Bouldin Index proves to be effective in supporting objective and measurable analysis of employee attendance data and can serve as a basis for decision-making related to performance evaluation and employee discipline policies.
