Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak pelaksanaan program literasi di SDN 2 Karyajaya terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa. Program yang diterapkan meliputi Dinding Edukasi, Pembiasaan Literasi, Reading Class, dan Mading Karya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi siswa sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan literasi siswa, dengan persentase siswa yang menjawab benar soal literasi meningkat dari 48% pada pretest menjadi 67% pada posttest. Program Pembiasaan Literasi, yang mendorong siswa untuk membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran, dan Reading Class, yang memberikan pengajaran intensif kepada siswa yang kesulitan, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan baca siswa. Kesimpulannya, program literasi yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dasar siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya integrasi program literasi yang menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar untuk memastikan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan menciptakan budaya literasi yang positif di kalangan siswa.   Kata Kunci :  Dinding Edukasi, Pembiasaan Literasi, Program Literasi, Mading Karya, Reading Class.

Abstract

This study aims to develop physics teaching materials that are feasible based on expert validity assessments. The developed digital teaching materials are considered suitable as they successfully integrate local wisdom with physics principles, particularly regarding aspects related to building structures and materials. Kampung Pulo, with its unique traditional architecture rich in cultural values and philosophy, serves as the main focus of this study to understand the physics phenomena inherent in its constructions. This research employs a development approach using a reduced 3D model of the FOUR-D (4D) development model. A mixed-methods approach was applied, including literature review, preliminary research, direct observation in Kampung Pulo, interviews with local figures and experts in traditional buildings, and analysis of the physical structure of existing buildings. The subjects for validation consisted of 4 material experts, 4 language experts, and 4 media experts. The results indicate that: (1) material validity was categorized as very good with a score of 93.22%, (2) language validity was categorized as very good with a score of 90.62%, and (3) media validity was categorized as very good with a score of 82.29%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed physics teaching materials, based on ethnophysics and integrated with local wisdom, are feasible for use, supported by data showing very good validity across material, language, and media aspects.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) instructional model in enhancing high school students’ critical thinking skills (CTS) on the topic of sound waves. A quantitative approach was employed, specifically a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest comparison-group arrangement. Participants consisted of two groups selected through purposive sampling: an experimental group with 35 students and a comparison group with 30 students. The primary assessment instrument was a set of essay questions constructed based on the critical thinking criteria proposed by Ennis. The analysis revealed a substantial improvement in students’ CTS within the experimental class following the implementation of the CPS model. A significant difference between the experimental and comparison groups was confirmed using the Mann–Whitney U test, yielding a p-value < 0.001. The effect size of 6.610, as measured by Cohen’s d, is considered large. Consequently, the CPS approach effectively enhanced students’ CTS, particularly in the context of physics learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are a thinking skill that is very necessary, one of which is in learning physics. This research explores the importance of critical thinking skills for students and how the Talking Stick model can improve these skills. This research data was obtained from secondary data using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) research method. The research stages were carried out in accordance with the PRISMA diagram rules, namely identification, screening and included. Through these stages, the final result was 21 articles obtained through the database in the Publish or Perish software. The data obtained was then analyzed using the content analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that students' critical thinking skills could improve through the Talking Stick learning model with an average percentage increase of 58.91% with the highest increase being 65,38%. In order to obtain better results of students' critical thinking skills, the support and cooperation of teachers and all related parties is very necessary to play an active role in enriching students' learning experiences in order to improve students' critical thinking skills in physics learning. So it can be concluded that the talking stick learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the search, solve, create, and share (SSCS) learning model on students' computational thinking skills in learning physics on sound waves. The method used is quantitative with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 30 grade XI students at a high school in Brebes Regency. The research instrument was a descriptive test to measure computational thinking skills that included indicators of decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability. The validity test using Pearson correlation showed that all items had a correlation coefficient to the total score with a value of r = 0.400–0.618 and p < 0.05, so it was declared valid. The results of the reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha obtained a coefficient of α = 0.747, which indicates that the test results indicate that the instrument is quite reliable and suitable for use in research. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test and strengthened with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test on pretest indicators that did not meet the assumption of normality. The analysis results showed a very significant increase in CTS between the pretest and posttest (p < 0.001) in the overall CTS and for each indicator. All indicators experienced an increase with an effect size in the very large category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the SSCS model can improve students' computational thinking skills in physics learning and is in line with the challenges of education in the 21st century.

Abstract

Kemampuan menyusun modul ajar merupakan kompetensi penting bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) sebagai calon guru, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran IPA SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan mahasiswa PGSD dalam menyusun modul ajar IPA SD berbasis STEM ditinjau dari keterpenuhan indikator penyusunan modul ajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek sebanyak 55 mahasiswa PGSD yang menempuh mata kuliah Pendidikan IPA SD. Data dikumpulkan melalui penilaian dokumen modul ajar menggunakan rubrik yang terdiri atas sepuluh indikator, meliputi identitas modul ajar, perumusan tujuan pembelajaran, pemilihan materi, sumber dan media pembelajaran, perancangan kegiatan pembelajaran, integrasi STEM, serta penilaian. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun modul ajar IPA SD berbasis STEM berada pada kategori sedang hingga cukup baik. Indikator materi pembelajaran dan identitas modul ajar memiliki capaian tertinggi, sedangkan indikator integrasi STEM dan perumusan tujuan pembelajaran menunjukkan capaian yang relatif lebih rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah mampu memenuhi aspek struktural modul ajar, namun masih memerlukan penguatan pada aspek keterpaduan konseptual dan pedagogik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan refleksi pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Pendidikan IPA SD untuk perbaikan dan penguatan pembelajaran pada periode berikutnya.

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the correlation between learning motivation and students’ analytical ability in physics, as well as comparing these two variables from a gender perspective. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational–comparative research design, the study involved 50 students of grade XII MIA (8 male students and 42 female students). The results indicate that: (1) there is a very strong and significant correlation between learning motivation and students’ analytical ability in physics learning (r = 0.935; Sig. 0.000 < 0.05); and (2) there is no significant difference in either analytical ability or learning motivation between male and female students. It can be concluded that learning motivation is a key factor influencing students’ success in physics analysis, regardless of gender differences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the theoretical framework of Computational Thinking (CT) integration in quantum physics education, specifically to improve concept understanding, critical thinking dispositions & abilities, and creative problem-solving skills of prospective physics teachers. CT is viewed as a systematic cognitive approach capable of bridging the gap in students' understanding of abstract and mathematical concepts in quantum physics. This study employs a qualitative method using systematic literature review and conceptual analysis of theories, models, and relevant previous research findings, both in the field of physics education and science education in general. The results of the study indicate that CT principles have the potential to improve the quality of students' thinking processes in understanding and solving quantum physics problems logically, reflectively, and creatively. The theoretical framework developed offers the integration of CT into learning design through a problem-based approach and multiple representations, both unplugged and computer-assisted. The conclusion of this study is that CT is not only relevant but also strategic as a foundation for the development of innovative pedagogy in modern physics education. The implications of this study open opportunities for curriculum designers, lecturers, and researchers to adopt and develop CT-based learning strategies in complex courses such as quantum physics, as well as encourage further empirical research to test the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital worksheets in physics education over the past decade, using a bibliometric approach to examine publication trends, author contributions, and dominant keywords. The data collected includes 61 documents published between 2015 and 2025. The results show a sharp increase in publications in 2021, related to the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by a significant decline in the subsequent years. Nevertheless, the use of digital worksheets has proven effective in enhancing students' understanding of complex physics concepts and supporting the development of critical thinking skills. In conclusion, although interest in this topic has increased, further research is needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and application of digital worksheets in hybrid or blended learning models to maximize the potential of technology in physics education.
