Abstract

This article is a quasi-experiment with a non-equipvalent control group design. The data obtained in this article are from SD Negeri Jomblangan Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The subject used is the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Jomblangan. The object used is the ability to think critically. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the analysis show that students' critical thinking skills have increased by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This is evidenced by an increase in critical thinking skills which can be seen from the average score of the test results. The average value of the pretest was 70.14, after the action was taken using the PBL model the average value increased to 86.14. The results of the t-test for experimental pre-test data and control pre-test showed a sig value of 0.332 (sig value> 0.05) or t count <t table (0.980 <1.67), that is, there was no difference in critical thinking skills during the pre-test between the experimental class and the control class. This means that the initial ability to think critically is the same, so different treatments may be given. From these results it can be seen that there is an increase in critical thinking skills in thematic learning with PPKN class V SDN Jomblangan Banguntapan Bantul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan menulis siswa kelas II yang ditandai dengan belum adanya penguasaan kosa kata serta ketidaksesuaian antara tulisan dengan aturan penulisan EYD V. Media flashcard bermanfaat dalam mengenalkan kosa kata dan aturan penulisan sesuai EYD V, sehingga dapat menggugah minat dan perhatian siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas II melalui media pembelajaran flashcard berbantuan teams games tournament. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas II SDN Karangsari yang terdiri dari sembilan siswa yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan tes. Analisis data melalui pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 75,5 termasuk dalam kategori telah mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal dengan persentase 55,5%, dan kemampuan menulis pada siklus II rata-rata diperoleh 91,9 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan jumlah siswa yang menyelesaikan mencapai persentase sekitar 94%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan media pembelajaran flashcard berbantuan teams games tournament dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas II SD N Karangsari.

Abstract

Teacher readiness is important in implementing the independent curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe teacher readiness and find out the supporting factors and obstacles faced by the teachers in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SDN Serut Baru Gedangsari Gunungkidul with a descriptive qualitative research design. Determination of data sources is done through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that; 1) teacher readiness in the implementation of the independent curriculum is not fully prepared based on the indicators of the four policies of the independent curriculum (AKM and UN substitute Character Survey, National Assessment instead of USBN, summary RPP, and zoning PPDB); 2) supporting factors in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, namely clear regulations, PMM accounts, school readiness, and adequate learning infrastructure; 3) obstacles faced in the implementation of the independent curriculum, the teachers have not understood the independent curriculum as a whole, the Pancasila student profile project and differentiated learning have not been implemented, also the school facilities are inadequate. Strategies to overcome these obstacles by continuing to study the independent curriculum and implementing the independent curriculum according to the capacity of the teachers, students, and schools. What is needed to implement an independent curriculum needs support from various parties, so that the objectives of this independent curriculum can be achieved properly and realized at all levels in the elementary schools.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the influence and magnitude of the influence of teacher pedagogical competence on student learning achievement in fine arts subjects at SDN Jarakan Bantul. The approach used is quantitative correlation. The data subjects used were all grade V students of SDN Jarakan Bantul totaling 70 students. Sample data using non-probability sampling using saturated samples, ie all members of the population become research samples. Data collection techniques used questionnaire techniques to collect teacher pedagogical competence data and student report card documentation on learning achievement data. The data processing method uses descriptive analysis test, prerequisite analysis test (normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test) and hypothesis testing using simple linear regression processed with SPSS version 26.0 software. The results of hypothesis testing with simple linear regression get a sig value. 0.041 (0.041 <0.05) so it is known that there is an effect of teacher pedagogical competence on student learning achievement. In addition, the magnitude of the effect obtained from simple linear regression in the regression equation is Y = 75,109 + 0.083X with the result that every 1% increase in variable X is 0.083 and will decrease by 0.083, because the regression coefficient value is positive (+), it can be interpreted that variable X has a positive effect on variable Y. It is also known that the result of R Square is 0.070 this value means that the effect of teacher pedagogical competence (X) on art learning achievement (Y) is 7% while 93% of art learning achievement is influenced by other variables that are not studied. Based on the results of data analysis of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the pedagogical competence of teachers on the learning achievement of fine arts subjects of grade V students of SDN Jarakan Bantul

Abstract

This study aims to improve the writing skills of Grade II students in one of the public elementary schools in Yogyakarta through the use of flashcard learning media. The research design used in this study was classroom action research. This study employs a form of collaborative classroom action research, requiring involvement from other relevant parties, namely Grade II elementary school teachers, who will collectively work on improving learning practices with Grade II elementary school students. The data collection technique used in this study was a test. Then, for data analysis, quantitative data analysis was employed. The results demonstrate that the use of flashcard learning media can enhance the writing ability of Grade II elementary school students. This improvement encompasses their ability to write sentences, use capital letters appropriately, and punctuate sentences correctly. Looking at the two cycles (I and II) of writing ability for Grade II students, it was determined that the average score in cycle I was 75.5, falling within the category of reaching the KKM score, with a percentage of 55.5%. In cycle II, the average writing ability score was 91.9, placing it in the "very good" category, with approximately 94% of students successfully reaching this level.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: 1) explain how Picto Guru media, which is based on the Sariswara method, was developed as a tool to improve students' critical thinking abilities; 2) explain whether Picto Guru media, which is based on the Sariswara method, is feasible as a tool to support students' critical thinking; and 3) explain how students react to using Picto Guru media. The five steps of the ADDIE development model—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—are used in this study in conjunction with the Research and Development (R&D) technique. Six students participated in this study, which was carried out at SD Negeri Pingit Yogyakarta. This study employed questionnaires, interviews, and observation as data gathering methods. Questionnaires for media experts, material specialists, classroom teachers, and student answers were among the tools utilised. A Likert scale with percentage values was used in the data analysis method. The study's findings indicate that: 1) Picto Guru media has been developed through the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation; 2) the material expert's validation of the media yielded a 90% percentage score, the media expert's second validation yielded an 81.43% percentage score, and the classroom teacher's third validation yielded an 86.67% percentage score. Ultimately, the three validators' average score for Picto Guru media came out to 86.03%, which is in the "Highly Feasible" range; and 3) students' direct interview responses after utilising Picto Guru media demonstrated incredibly favourable and enthusiastic responses. Consequently, it can be said that using Picto Guru media as a teaching tool and to encourage students' critical thinking is quite possible.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of literacy and numeracy programs on the learning motivation of elementary school students. The approach used is associative quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. The research population included all 57 students in grade V of SD Negeri Deresan, with a sample of 56 students. The research instrument is a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been validated and reliable. The results showed that the literacy program had a significant effect on students' learning motivation (sig = 0.000 < 0.05) and the numeracy program also had a significant effect (sig = 0.004 < 0.05). Simultaneously, the two programs contributed 53.2% to the increase in learning motivation (Adjusted R² = 0.532). These findings indicate that the implementation of literacy and numeracy programs can meaningfully increase the learning motivation of elementary school students.
