Abstract

This study descriptively aims to determine the tendency of science learning achievement and the critical thinking skill of students who were thought using concept maps and direct instruction models. Comparatively to know the difference of science learning VII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta were learned using concept map and direct instruction achievement model viewed from critical thinking skill. The research is a quasi experiment. The data were collected by documentation, test, and questionnaire. Comparatively, there is a significant difference of science learning achievement between learning using concept maps and direct instruction model. The average score of science learning achievement and critical thinking skills using concept maps is higher than the direct instruction model, so there is an effect of using concept maps on science learning achievement based on students critical thinking skills VII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know tendency facilities, environment, and result learning of IPA. In a correlative to know relationship facilities, environment, and result learning of IPA, both do together and alone. This research is correlative descriptive especially ex-post facto. Data collecting technique used questionnaire, documentation, and test. Data analyzing technique used double regression analysis, two predictors and then partial correlation. Prerequisite experiment analysis includes normality experiment of propagation and linearity relationship. The sample is all of the population and used population study technique. It can be shown the tendency of facilities and environment of learning is in the high category. The tendency of learning result of IPA is in the very high category. Correlatively is found value of Fcount = 48,922 > with p= 0,05. It means that there is a positive relationship that very significant between facilities and environments learning and result of learning IPA grade of VIII SMP Taman Dewasa in all Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta 2015/2016, both do together and alone. Effective contribution from two predictors is 67.14%, learning facilities are 15.95% and learning environment is 51.19%.

Abstract

This research is descriptive to know the tendency of science learning result and student learning motivation through Cooperative Learning Model of TSTS Type and Direct Learning Model. Comparatively to know the difference of science learning outcomes of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta in the academic year 2016/2017 between the TSTS type cooperative model and the direct model in terms of student learning motivation. Type of Quasi Experimental research. Analyze data with anacova. Anacova test results obtained Fcount = 32.638 with p = 0,000, because p ≤ 0.01 then concluded there is a very significant difference. Descriptively the tendency of science learning outcomes and student learning motivation with cooperative model type TSTS higher than direct model. means cooperative learning model TSTS type more effective in improving science learning outcomes compared with direct learning model in terms of student's learning motivation.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine the Problem-Based Learning model that enhances natural sciences minimum mastery criteria of learning achievement and communication skills at Junior high school Taman Dewasa Jetis, Yogyakarta. This research was Classroom Action Research. This research, each cycle contains planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The cycle was completed in the second cycle because indicator of success had been achieved. Research instruments include teacher and students’ observation sheets, sciences learning achievement tests and communication skills questionnaires. The results show that students could reach the natural sciences minimum mastery criteria of learning achievement and an increase in communication skills was worth considering. In the first cycle, students’ learning achievement rose 6.75 points above the natural science minimum mastery criteria; the second cycle rose 18.8 points above the natural science’s minimum mastery criteria. Communication skills in the first cycle increased by 3.65%, and in the second cycle increased by 10.57%.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experiment that aims to know: (1) the difference of science learning achievement between the learning method of everyone is a teacher here with the method of discussion learning (2) the difference of science learning achievement for high and low critical thinking skill (3) the interaction between learning method and the critical thinking skill of the learning achievement of science. Design research using factorial design 2x2. Data collection techniques using test techniques, observation techniques, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques for hypothesis testing using a two-way ANOVA test. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) there is a very significant difference the learning outcomes of science between the learning method of everyone is a teacher here with the method of discussion learning (p = 0,000) (2) there is a very significant difference of science learning achievement for high and low critical thinking skills (p = 0,000) and (3) there is a significant interaction between the learning method and the critical thinking skill of the learning achievement (p = 0,040).

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas adalah kebutuhan guru untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kualitas proses pembelajaran di kelas. Adanya pandemi covid-19 memberikan peluang bagi guru dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas sehingga pada masa adaptasi pembelajaran daring dapat sekaligus menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas. Berbagai kendala ditemui oleh guru dalam melakukan penelitian dan perbaikan pembelajaran sehingga guru harus memahami cara melakukan kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas mulai dari persiapan sampai dengan pada olah data. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan wawasan dan meningkatkan ketrampilan guru dalam melakukan PTK sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dan meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran pada kelas daring. Kegiatan dalam bentuk pelatihan, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan pendampingan. Materi pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu: 1) PTK untuk guru masa kini; 2) cara menyusun PTK dan instrumen observasi; 3) pengolahan data penelitian PTK, dan selanjutnya pendampingan pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil pengabdian pelatihan penelitian tindakan kelas ini yaitu guru dapat mengetahui tahapan-tahapan dalam melakukan kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas, guru dapat menyusun instrumen yang digunakan dalam kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas, guru dapat melakukan olah data hasil penelitian, guru dapat menyimpulkan data perolehan hasil penelitian, guru termotivasi dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas, dan guru dapat mengetahui strategi dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan kondisi pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi covid-19. Selain itu dengan fasilitasi pelatihan berupa kegiatan pendampingan terhadap penelitian tindakan kelas, guru dapat melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan penelitian. Kegiatan pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi guru untuk senantiasa melakukan kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas dalam berbagai kondisi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari e-modul IPA 2. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dari Borg and Gall. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan nontes berupa angket. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket ahli materi, dan angket ahli media. E-modul IPA 2 yang sudah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh seorang ahli materi, dan seorang ahli media untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk. Hasil penilaian kelayakan e-modul IPA 2 oleh ahli materi sebesar 84,09% dalam kategori sangat baik, sedangkan penilaian oleh ahli media sebesar 76,25% dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul IPA 2 layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah IPA 2 Abstract This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Science 2 e-module. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research from Borg and Gall. The data collection technique used a non-test in the form of a questionnaire. The instruments used were in the form of a material expert questionnaire and a media expert questionnaire. The e-module that has been developed is validated by a material expert and a media expert to determine the feasibility of the product. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of IPA 2 e-module by material experts were 84.09% in the very good category, while the assessment by media experts was 76.25% in the good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the IPA 2 e-module is suitable for use in learning Science 2 courses

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on digestive system material for students of class VIII junior high school. This research was developed using a 4D development model which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data collection technique used in this study was observation, interviews, feasibility questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive were used to analyze the data obtained. The results of the study obtained that e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on the digestive system material for class VIII junior high school. The evaluation of the feasibility of e-comic by experts obtained 4.50 with very good criteria (SB). The product feasibility assessment by the science teacher got 4.68 with very good criteria (SB). The evaluation of the feasibility of e-comic by colleagues obtained 4.54 with very good criteria (SB). The results of student responses to the readability test of e-comic obtained an average value of 91% with very good criteria (SB). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on digestive dystem material for class VIII junior high school students is suitable for use in science class VIII junior high school learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid-19 menjadi tantangan besar dalam dunia pendidikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid-19 tetap dilaksanakan secara daring menggunakan tiga ruang belajar yang menjadi roh, yaitu sinkron virtual (virtual synchronus), asinkron mandiri (self-directed asynchronus), dan asinkron kolaboratif (collaborative asynchronus). Proses pembelajaran daring harus didukung dengan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. Salah satu sarana pembelajarannya adalah sumber belajar. Sumber belajar yang dapat memfasilitasi kegiatan pembelajaran daring adalah modul yang dikemas dalam bentuk digital atau e-modul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan e-modul IPA 2 terhadap pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa semester 4 yang mengambil mata kuliah IPA 2 pada semester Genap Tahun Akademik 2020/2021. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes pemahaman konsep berupa soal uraian yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan N-Gain untuk mencari efektivitas produk. Hasil analisis menggunakan N-Gain diperoleh persentase 77,46% dengan taraf sugnifikansi 0,000. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan e-modul IPA 2 efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa.

Abstract

The transition to online learning since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced all parties to respond quickly to the use of information technology. Various applications are used in the learning process. Of course, this was followed by the digitization of learning tools, including the Laboratory Management course held by the Science Education Study Program of the University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. Learning tools are needed to accommodate Course Learning Outcomes (CLO), one of which is a module. The modules are comprehensive, systematic, and accompanied by a planned learning experience designed to help students master the learning objectives. This research is a preliminary stage of research on the digitalization of module products which was carried out using the Borg and Gall models. This study aims to describe the need to develop the digitalization of the Science Laboratory Management course module to strengthen the laboratory skills of prospective science educators. The method used is a literature study of the needs and other considerations related to the development of module products. The study results stated that digitizing the Laboratory Management module makes it easier for students to access materials anywhere and anytime. Learning becomes more focused and structured. The e-module was developed by considering the laboratory skill needs of prospective science educators. The selected laboratory skill indicators include mastery of practical tools, accuracy and accuracy of work, Occupational Safety and Health, and handling of chemicals.
